Capítulo 1069: Chapter 5: Lin Lu’s Strategy (Side Story 05)
(This is a real world. Want to control an invincible fleet and sweep across the starry sky?)
…
Lin Lu was wearing a somewhat old jacket. In his line of sight, outside the porthole on the interstellar route, countless pieces of space debris floated aimlessly.
“Have you heard? The Vyka Federation is about to conduct another round of sweeping around here. Sigh, it’s hard times for the miners.”
“This wreckage, it wasn’t here the last time I came. I guess something else has been wiped out… I really don’t know when the chaos will end.”
“Our ships are too outdated. If Vika Mining didn’t pressure the miners so much, nobody would resist.”
“Let’s disperse. Worrying about these matters won’t do us any good. While the material trading market in region 6021 is still around, let’s quickly secure some profit for ourselves.”
“…Sigh, in this world, protect yourself first before talking about anything else.”
Listening to the conversations of some nearby passengers, Lin Lu began to form a general understanding of the situation here.
He looked up at the real-time screen; there were still 4 hours of flight left to the destination.
“Let’s head back.”
Lin Lu spent a large sum to buy a small private compartment. Once the three of them entered, Lin Lu sat down directly, put on projection glasses, and placed the portable light projection device on the table.
Quickly, under his rapid mental operations, images flashed constantly, crossing like streams of light.
A and Zero watched Lin Lu quietly. They knew that this moment showed Lin Lu’s most authentic self, demonstrating unparalleled focus when thinking.
Zero’s large flickering eyes were filled with admiration. This state of Dr. Lin Lu was the perfect image in her mind.
Suddenly, Lin Lu’s hands rapidly performed a series of actions in mid-air.
A star map suddenly projected from the desktop, numerous nebulae flickered upon it, with a small area covered in a red glow, appearing particularly distinct.
“This is our current 6021 region. According to collected comparison data, within five light-years nearby, this area has the most comprehensive industrial base. Moreover, its trading market is also the most complete, with daily material transaction volumes far exceeding the weekly procurement quota of the Yake Empire’s black market.”
“Therefore, this is currently the most suitable trading area for us, especially for antimatter, as other areas don’t have the conditions for its extraction and storage.”
Lin Lu spoke methodically, while he swiped his right hand through the void, and a fleet draped in red light appeared in the projection.
“This is the hypothetical Vika Guard Fleet. Based on the information obtained, their numbers don’t seem large, yet they often end up wiping out miner bases one after another. A key factor here is…”
“Miners are a loosely united interest group. They simply cannot unite under such pressure, and often conflicts break out among them, fighting for profit.”
In Lin Lu’s demonstration, the red Vika fleet launched a direct attack on a remote planet, where two miner factions clashing there were annihilated, and the resource-rich planet was reclaimed by Vika.
“A, now I ask you, if you were one of the two miners who had just battled, if you could go back to before the conflict occurred… what reflections would you have?”
The artificial person A pondered briefly and cautiously replied: “I would definitely refuse internal meaningless consumption. Already backward technology plus internal consumption is just paving the way for strong enemies.”
“Very good. How would you proceed?” Lin Lu guided methodically, needing another to continuously perfect his design in practical demonstration.
“Ensure internal stability, quickly build fleets capable of opposing the Vyka Federation, preserve living forces in prolonged maneuver warfare, and at the same time force the opponent from overly infiltrating this region, thereby not affecting internal resource transactions, and ultimately maintaining one’s own hematopoietic ability.” Artificial person A’s light blue eyes flashed with wisdom. As Lin Lu’s research assistant, he was indisputable.
“Excellent. This idea is now complete, only missing the final touch… which is how to enhance the miners’ self-preservation capabilities.”
“Isn’t it just about who’s stronger?” Zero pouted, like in her battles with Lin Lu, where she often won by riding on him.
“Zero, you’re brilliant.” Lin Lu praised a bit, causing the young girl Zero to giggle happily in delight.
“This is also the last topic—continuously improving the miners’ ship armament based on existing foundations, with stronger firepower, thicker shields, and tougher armor to greet enemies. That’s to say…”
“Modify the ships.”
The Hawk Guard Ship, Genesis Cruiser, and Longbow Destroyer appeared swiftly on the projected screen, and Lin Lu examined the structures of those ship hulls closely.
“A, prepare the relevant information on the Heavenly Fire Assault Ship and Taylor Gammi Battleship, with emphasis on marking universal parts and noting the acquisition difficulty of each component.”
The neutrally-featured yet unusually cool and imposing A took out a tactical tablet and swiftly operated it, as diagrams of various spaceship parts began to appear on the three-dimensional light screen.
“Zero, help me prepare a bulletproof vest…”
The young girl’s eyes sparkled with excitement, nodding repeatedly with enthusiasm.
…
“Spaceship has arrived at base market trade port No. 11 in region 6021; base owner: Mr. Kiflomi. Please disembark in an orderly manner and abide by the trade port rules. Thank you for your support during this voyage, goodbye.”
Lin Lu had just prepared to raise his arm to wave when the ship’s rear engines lit up instantly, slowly lifting it into the air, and in the blink of an eye, it vanished into the starry backdrop.
Lin Lu frowned as he observed the designated entry zone ahead, frowning some more. He did not follow the crowd towards the trade port; instead, he walked toward a mechanical guard.
“Hello?”
“Hello.”
Upon hearing this, Lin Lu patted his forehead, realizing this guard was actually a real human.
“May I ask how to find Mr. Kiflomi?”
Lin Lu initially thought this was a very ordinary question. What he didn’t expect was that as soon as he asked it, the guards’ attitudes changed dramatically!
The positions of their armored eye slots switched from blue to red instantly.
“Warning! Warning! Someone is attempting to locate Mr. Kiflomi. Requesting support.”
It’s worth mentioning, this place is incredibly efficient.
Lin Lu had barely uttered a word before he found himself surrounded by armed gun muzzles.
“Suspected government army personnel detected. The target is attempting to learn Mr. Kiflomi’s itinerary.”
“Sorry, sorry, we mean no harm, I merely want to discuss a big business deal.” Lin Lu forcibly contained Zero’s impulse to make a move and smiled as he spoke.
“Definitely a dog of the Vyka Federation!”
At this moment, a fierce voice sounded from behind Lin Lu.
