Chapter 1029 - 968: Strategy for Defeating the Dark Tide Squad
It’s obvious that the opponent’s tsunami ultimate, influenced by Dragon Power or various other factors, was released prematurely. A wide wall of water taller than the ship’s side came crashing down!
Da Fei’s fleet had no way to avoid it, only to face it head-on!
Now, Da Fei’s fleet quickly huddled together and with the greatest speed, tied all the ships together with ropes. Then the captains of each ship took their positions, and all the Angel Sea Demon Sailors on the decks of each ship retreated into the cabins,
As Catherine said, this is a conventional method to avoid small waves in a harbor shelter. If this was a major storm, having the ships tied together and colliding with each other would be disastrous!
However, Da Fei still decided to tie them together; otherwise, if a ship was stranded alone, the chance of being capsized would be quite high! Da Fei believed that with his superior performance fleet, coupled with his God-level Navigator’s wave resistance technique, and the wave resistance effect of the Divine Artifact Ocean Heart, if they couldn’t withstand such an incomplete tsunami technique, then no player would be able to withstand it in the coming years!
It’s getting closer, as the tsunami accompanied by roaring wind and thunder looms on the horizon!
But before the wave arrives, the wind is here!
Bang! With a muffled sound, a gale-like shockwave smashed the cockpit window of the Captain, sending wooden pieces and glass shards flying everywhere. Da Fei, who was already clutching the handrail to brace for impact, found himself instantly lifted off the ground, his body flying like a human flag!
Da Fei gritted his teeth, clutching the handrail tightly to brace for the imminent collision with the mighty sea!
Boom!!! A thunderous crash followed! Tons of seawater crashed inside!
It hit! In that split second, Da Fei was unable to see any scenes as he was pressed against the floor of the captain’s room by the irresistible force, feeling weightless once again, like flying!
Da Fei was dazed, but the system was not; a long list of system prompts quickly reported the battle damage:
—System Prompt: Flying suffered an attack from Tsunami Technique, reducing the ship’s durability by -36315! The second deck of the cabin cracked. Your 56 Jungle Hunter Unit members were killed by collision damage! Your 136 Secret Archer Troop members were killed by collision damage! Your 36 Druid Army members were killed by collision damage!
—System Prompt: Radiant Wings suffered an attack from Tsunami Technique, reducing the ship’s durability by -46315! The third mast of the ship broke. The onboard bar of Radiant Wings is out of function! Your 136 Secret Archer Troop members were killed by collision damage!
—System Prompt: Jade Dragon suffered an attack from the Tsunami Technique, reducing the ship’s durability by -37431!
—System Prompt: Warning! Golden Spearfish suffered an attack from Tsunami Technique, critically damaged; 235 units of honey in the cargo hold were lost. Three breaks at the bottom of the ship caused water intake and sinking is imminent! Please tow and drain water promptly!
...
Even though Da Fei was spinning and unable to see the game scene, the system prompts were in a separate information box, allowing players to view them. Now, Da Fei could only stare at the info box!
Da Fei only had one thought: Did we survive?
—Boom!!! Another booming sound occurred, as the fleet thrown up by the tsunami crashed from the crest to the trough, sending Da Fei soaring from the floor to the ceiling, with a large "Collision Damage -541!" appearing!
Then another wave of system prompts scrolled out again, reporting durability and casualty losses of each ship, but the loss was much less compared to the initial tsunami impact.
Did we survive? Looking at the battle damage in the info box, Da Fei felt both relieved and apprehensive!
Such is the power of a tsunami attack! Units within the ship couldn’t escape, and all the regular low-health troops were directly knocked out and killed! Other than the colossal Jade Dragon standing firm, the Flying and Radiant Wings took serious damage, and considering the Golden Spearfish, which was temporarily patched up in the Nether Sea, it was fortunate not to disintegrate on the spot!
Okay! Now that your ultimate move is over, it’s my turn to counterattack!
As Da Fei was about to stand up, he suddenly realized that his movements were absurdly slow! His Stamina was bottoming out in red; what is this?
It wasn’t until this moment that Da Fei realized he had acquired a "weakened" negative status similar to after a death resurrection, and finally found in the dense scrolling system information a line:
—System Prompt: Your troops have suffered severe impact from the Tsunami Technique, your troops are in a state of extreme fatigue and weakness, duration unknown!
Da Fei’s jaw dropped! My goodness, so the Tsunami Technique has this kind of annoying effect, this is not logical! How can a God-level Navigator with double stamina be weak! How can I counterattack with this condition?
Just then, in the Blood Eagle’s vision, the Dark Tide Army moved, surrounding from all sides in an encircling formation, clearly intending to beat Da Fei while he’s down without giving him a chance to breathe!
Da Fei’s heart sank, this is the power of the NPC forces! No matter how awesome my equipment is, it’s not so easily challenged! Am I going to lose? Is the man who slays gods and dragons going to fall here? Or should I use the last cannon for a final desperate struggle?
At that moment, a voice came from outside the window, Silver Leg Xiluo shouting: "Boss, surrender! As long as you surrender, the Dark Tide Lord will not refuse anyone and won’t annihilate everyone!"
—System Prompt: Your follower Xiluo suggests surrendering to the enemy troops; do you accept?
Da Fei was suddenly delighted, oh-ho! Surrender again? Is there such a good thing?
Damn! I still have my main force and Divine Artifacts, surrender to what? If this weren’t a game, where an NPC’s loyalty wouldn’t trouble the player, I’d surely have executed you, the traitor pretending to lead the way!
Da Fei hurriedly asked, "What benefits would I get if I surrendered?"
Xiluo immediately responded, "There’s definitely no benefit, but the outcome should be similar to Rock’s; at least your current troop can survive!"
Da Fei’s eyes turned cold, who would surrender without benefits? I still have a plasma cannon yet to be fired! And there’s also the Flying’s instant teleportation technique to directly kill the enemy commander that hasn’t been used yet! I won’t surrender; if I have to, I’ll at least inflict some pain on the enemy first! So now, the question is, how can I inflict pain on the enemy?
In the previous battle against the Siren Sea Demon in the Nether Sea, the enemy, not knowing the Jade Dragon’s capabilities, all swarmed up together, only to be stunned outright by the plasma cannon!
That is to say, to achieve a similar performance in this battle, the past tricks must be used again. The problem is that the opponent seems to maintain a fast yet orderly formation, making it unlikely to swarm altogether. What to do?
Just then, Xiluo wailed again: "Boss, the opportunity to surrender is only once, if you don’t want to surrender, then break through and escape with the main force!"
Darn it! I don’t even know the exit of this space; where can I run? And apart from the Flying, which can instant teleport, who else can escape?
Hmm?! Escape? At this moment, a light bulb went off in Da Fei’s head. If the Flying takes all the main forces and teleports away, then the remaining fleet would become the opponent’s spoils of war, right?
The opponent will usually only board and receive or tow away spoils of war, rather than destroy and sink them all, correct? As long as the opponent approaches Jade Dragon to receive the spoils, my opportunity arises!
Exactly, let’s do it this way! Anyway, my Blood Eagle keeps a constant watch overhead, and even if they don’t accept the spoils and try to sink the ships, I can teleport back to kill them!
