Chapter 1028 - 967: Dark Tide Temple Guard Army
Now the fleet arrived at the site of the floating corpse, and under Deirdre’s watch, the body neither disappeared nor was it revived on the spot.
As Selvia waved the Sea Soul Staff, a faint golden mist rose from the fish corpse and flew into the Sea Soul Staff.
Da Fei was overjoyed: "I saw this color of soul on the Hydra’s body! It’s indeed a divine creature!"
Tamilia was even more eager: "Great, this is exactly what the Holy Vine urgently needs!"
As she spoke, Tamilia impatiently opened the Holy Vine Space Gate, and the Sea Demons immediately tossed the body into the space.
Da Fei couldn’t help but smile with satisfaction. Finally, a perfect harvest, experience, equipment, flesh, and soul, nothing was missed. The phrase "draining the last drop" couldn’t even begin to describe it.
However, amidst his satisfaction, Da Fei was slightly conflicted. Since the BOSS’s soul was absorbed, it definitely couldn’t be revived now. If the soul hadn’t been absorbed, would it have revived infinitely? Would it have infinitely dropped equipment if it revived infinitely?
But this greedy thought was instantly dismissed by Da Fei. This Flying Fish Sea Monster was certainly not the strongest sea monster Da Fei had encountered, but without a doubt, it was the fastest. Successfully chasing and killing it twice was already Da Fei’s luck and limit. One must be content. Not to mention that at sea, with high waves and winds, capsizing in a small ditch wasn’t impossible.
In any case, it’s time to set off. As for the newly dropped Dark Tide Web, there’s nothing much to say about giving it to Deirdre. Although it’s an S-level equipment, its utility for ordinary players might even be less than B-level equipment.
Just then, Da Fei suddenly remembered something and called Arsenal’s three members before him to inquire: "What do you think will happen if I kill this Dark Tide Temple Guardian?"
The three looked at each other and then shook their heads: "Don’t know."
What the heck! At the critical moment, they dared not to know? Da Fei continued to ask: "Will the Dark Tide Lord get angry?"
The three replied blankly: "Don’t know, no one has ever killed a Temple Guardian before."
So I’m ahead again! For something unprecedented like this, doesn’t the system feel obliged to give an achievement? Da Fei replied: "I see! Are all Temple Guardians such flying fish?"
The three shook their heads again: "Don’t know."
Alright, then they’re probably not. As long as they’re not all cunning flying fish, if I can kill the first one, I can kill the second one.
It’s now 15:30 Beijing Time, and the fleet has been sailing for half an hour in the Thunderstorm. To prepare for the new battle, all conventional Druid Army and Vine Demon Army units in the cargo hold of the Flying are charging the Charging Crystal as quickly as possible.
Another lightning bolt struck; finally, the awaited moment arrived!
——System Prompt: The Divine Storm Tower of the Jade Dragon absorbed thunder energy. The Jade Dragon gained 246 points of thunder energy, current energy 2500/2500.
...
——System Prompt: The thunder energy stored in the Jade Dragon is saturated! Consuming all stored Power of thunder and lightning to nourish the Electric Eel Soul can upgrade the Jade Dragon’s level, would you like to upgrade?
It can be upgraded again! But should it?
At this moment, Da Fei hesitated. If not upgraded, then the Jade Dragon is like a super cannon ready to fire, and the coming battle would be more confident. But if no enemy is encountered for half a day, wouldn’t that be a waste of electricity? Opportunities to encounter a storm at sea are rare, and being struck by lightning is even rarer! This upgrade opportunity must be cherished.
Upgrade or not? A decisive decision is required!
Just then, a patch of red dots suddenly appeared in the Blood Eagle’s vision! At this moment, Da Fei’s conflicted heart instantly became clear, coming at just the right time, haha, hahahaha! Then there’s nothing more to say, let’s prepare for a fierce battle!
However, the size of the red dot this time around is quite large, could it be a large sea monster?
Da Fei immediately moved the Blood Eagle closer to scout, and saw it! Under the waves, a large group of flat, diamond-shaped big fish swayed towards them, hundreds in number, they were Rays!
As a loyal viewer of "Animal World," Da Fei surely recognized this famous large ocean creature, which is widely distributed from the shallow sea to depths of 3000 meters, from the Tropics to the North Pole. They possess the ability to discharge electricity, and their long thin tails are highly poisonous, often ambushing in the sand at sea bottom and leaping out suddenly. According to the game’s exaggerated style, these Rays would clearly use their electric discharge and poison abilities to the fullest.
And as the Blood Eagle flew lower again, Da Fei suddenly noticed that a petite, human-head snake-tailed figure was seated on the back of each Ray, a Naga?
Yes, four-armed, holding a staff and wielding a sword and shield, it’s a Naga! Naga Knights? Naga Mages? Not joking, right? Earlier, there was just one BOSS with a large group of minions, why is there such a large formation deploying now?
At this moment, a lightning bolt streaked through, brightening the world into a radiant white glow. In this instant of brightness, Da Fei immediately saw a female Naga Hero with a magic wand glowing blue, encased in blue armor, and surrounded by a blue Hero Aura, standing on the back of the largest Ray in the group!
Da Fei’s jaw dropped! Da Fei wasn’t afraid of Sea Monster BOSSes, but he feared Heroic Legions! Why did the difficulty suddenly ramp up, is it because I killed the "examiner" that they’re sending the real deal?
At this juncture, Arsenal’s three brothers and Silver Leg Xiluo hurriedly ran over in a panic: "President, the situation is very serious!" "Boss, this is the Dark Tide Temple Guard Army! Talk it over, don’t act rashly!"
Da Fei spat out: "Xiluo, didn’t you say there was nothing to worry about when I came here?"
Xiluo anxiously said, "Maybe the boss is too powerful and scared them, they think the boss is an intruder, the boss must explain well!"
Oh my goodness! Is it true that I went overboard with my bluffing? But I’m genuinely powerful, not just pretending! Oh well, let’s get ready for battle and talk to them properly.
The Da Fei Fleet lowers sails and anchors, tightly surrounding the Jade Dragon, poised and ready.
Then, Da Fei’s vision caught glimpses of light approaching beneath the sea. Da Fei hurriedly told Selvia, "Play a soothing tune to calm them down!"
Selvia nodded and gently plucked the strings, a soft church hymn drifted into the distance.
Just then, an angry female voice responded from afar, "So it’s the deceitful Church of Light, you are courting death!"
Oh my goodness! This is a misunderstanding! Da Fei hurriedly shouted, "Catherine, quickly tell them we’re here for ransom!"
Without needing Da Fei to say, Catherine already raised the megaphone and shouted, "We’re here to pay ransom to rescue the pirate Rock!"
However, Catherine’s megaphone couldn’t possibly carry sound that far, especially with the sea’s roaring waves drowning her voice, the other side couldn’t hear at all.
At this moment, in the Blood Eagle’s vision, the Rays Knight on the opposing side halted over the sea, Da Fei vaguely saw the Naga Mage on the ray’s back waving her staff to cast a spell, evidently preparing a distant powerful move! Damn!
Now what? There’s no use being timid, we can only fight! Da Fei gritted his teeth and handed the Dragon King Crown to Selvia again, "Disrupt their spell casting!"
Selvia furrowed his brow, "But I can’t use Angel Possession today and can’t keep chanting on such a shaky deck continuously!"
Da Fei sighed inwardly! If I had known there would be a fight against the Heroic Legion, I would’ve saved the big move for the end. But no worries, I misused an Angel move, but fortunately, my Electric Eel Plasma Cannon is fully charged!
Da Fei resolutely said, "You know the Habbit Village’s flute tune? It’s all about extracting the essence and abandoning the dross, play as awkwardly and harshly as possible just to trigger the Dragon King Crown’s fear effect!"
"Got it! The Old Village Chief also told me." Without another word, Selvia switched to the crown, plucked the strings, and a sound akin to cotton-pulling mixed with glass-scraping echoed across the sea and sky!
Exactly, this is the kind of tune I want!
—System Prompt: Battle begins, your Vice Hero Deirdre requests to use Curse Armor’s curse special skill, will you release it?
Absolutely! The Blood Eagle is here, as if I’m personally present; I’ll use any skill that can disrupt the opponent’s spell casting — release!
The next moment, three streaks of black light descended from the sky, startling the Naga Knight Order mid-casting, oh yeah!
But before Da Fei could enjoy the moment, the Naga Hero immediately waved a hand, releasing a stream of green light to cleanse the army, dispelling the curse black smoke enveloping the Knight Order.
Da Fei’s heart skipped a beat, Purification Technique! But no worry, her purification technique used once needs cool-down time, and the Curse Armor has three curse layers, two remaining! Unless the regular Naga Knights dispel themselves, which would mean interrupting the big spell, exactly what I want.
However, Selvia’s awkward playing did not successfully trigger Dragon Power, or perhaps the opposing team is a heroic group, effectively resisting Dragon Power. In short, the interference level now is far from sufficient. We need to confuse them more, and even more!
Da Fei gritted his teeth and told Tamilia, "Teleport the Flying in front of their formation, have Catherine make one final shout, and by the way, give them a scare—then teleport back!"
"Got it!"
The Flying flashed with Demon Light, vanished! Appeared!
Despite the violent shaking, Catherine shouted at once, "We’re here to deliver ransom for pirate Rock!"
Da Fei believes, at this distance, the other party definitely hears it, but they don’t immediately respond!
One second, two seconds, Da Fei sees the water before the battleship suddenly rising, resembling a massive water wall, and it’s still ascending higher!
Da Fei’s eyes widened in shock! The legendary Tsunami Technique! The opponent’s powerful move is formed!
Just then, another sound of grating from Selvia echoed sky and sea, this time so close, finally works!
—System Prompt: Your Divine Artifact Effect Dragon Majesty activated, some enemies are successfully affected by fear, unable to fight!
At this moment, dozens of "spell casting failure" phrases floated up from the seafloor! The rising momentum of the water wall abruptly halted and prematurely charged forward!
This is precisely the effect I wanted! Now, no more words needed, teleport back, and endure with the fleet together! (To be continued.
