1048 The Army Leader
Of course, these arrangements could only be delayed as much as possible.
The city wall of Hani City and the 100-man team of mages in the city were their biggest reliance.
“You mean purple essence?”
In the main city’s conference hall, Brian nodded and said, “Purple essence is indeed very useful against the demonized barbarians. However, the production of purple essence is very rare, and weapons with purple essence added to them will also wear out very easily.”
!!
“There are only three purple essence weapons left in the city, and only the blades are coated with a layer of purple essence crystal. These three swords have been granted to the three knight commanders of the city guardian knights.”
They were discussing the pre-war strategy meeting when a soldier knocked on the door and entered.
“City Lord, the Empire has sent us the latest intelligence.”
Brian took the information from his subordinate and frowned after a quick look.
Bad news!
Seeing Brian’s worried face, Wei Tao asked, “How’s the situation?”
“The barbarians will invade the Empire by guerilla warfare as usual,” Brian shook his head and handed the letter over for everyone to read. “It’s terrible. The barbarian leader who led the invasion of Hani City is Almonta.”
At this point, Brian paused and said in a deep voice, “Almonta has a Tier 3 barbarian mutation ability.”
Tier 3!
Everyone sucked in a breath of cold air and felt the pressure on their bodies was extremely great.
They couldn’t even defeat Tier 2, let alone Tier 3!
The City Lord, Brian, also sighed in his heart.
The strength of the Tier 3 barbarian was much stronger than that of the Tier 2 barbarian. It was not something that a small city like theirs could resist.
This was not the worst.
Almonta was a blood relative of the royal family of the barbarians. According to the intelligence, the team he led had the largest number of savage beasts! In the past, it had dealt a devastating blow to the Empire’s front line.
A vast army of savage beasts!
Brian could already imagine the entire city surrounded by the beast army.
How long could their city last against Almonta’s attacks?
Their only hope now was the Empire’s reinforcements.
They hoped that the Empire’s reinforcements would be able to come back in time to save them.
Now that they had encountered great trouble, everyone couldn’t help but think of Fang Heng.
“By the way, where’s Fang Heng? Did he send any news? He’s the one who triggered the mission. Could he have any information that can help us?”
“I’ve been looking for him outside, but there’s no news yet.”
Wei Tao shook his head and said, “The barbarian invasion cut off our information transmission. It’s very difficult to contact Fang Heng. Besides, we don’t know his exact location.”
“I’m a little worried. Although Fang Heng has ignored us twice, it’s still a little strange that we haven’t heard from him for such a long time. Logically speaking, he should have returned to Hani City immediately to meet us in such a situation.”
Tang Mingyue was a little worried. She looked at the crowd and asked, “Will he be in danger and be unable to make it back?”
“I don’t think so…”
Mikhael shrugged.
Originally, when he first met Fang Heng, Mikhael was a little disdainful of him.
He didn’t expect Fang Heng to be able to completely control the world of the vampires in just half a month!
It was only then that Mikhael realized that Fang Heng was not an ordinary person. It was absolutely impossible to achieve this by relying on luck alone!
Therefore, he found a way to get secret information from the Federation and studied Fang Heng’s means of completing the mission in detail from all aspects.
After looking at it, Mikhael was shocked.
Mikhael continued, “Fang Heng often does things unexpectedly. If you tell me that he has turned his back on the barbarian and is helping to fight against the Empire, I’ll still believe it.”
“You’re exaggerating a little.”
As they were discussing, a line of game notifications appeared on their retina.
[Hint: The player’s trial team has successfully resisted the barbarian team that invaded the village for 30 minutes. The player has successfully delayed the barbarian’s attack. The barbarian attack on Hani City will be delayed by 1 hour. The player will receive an extra hour of trial time.]
[Hint: The village has attracted the attention of the barbarians.]
[Hint: The three barbarian teams will arrive and invade the village in 40 minutes.]
When everyone saw the sudden notification, Wei Tao closed his mouth and fell into silence.
Fang Heng exerted his strength again!
They were idling here, so who else was left in the village to resist the barbarians?
Of course, it was Fang Heng!
Mikhael looked at the crowd with an expression that said, “Told you, I’m right.”
Tang Mingyue’s face lit up and her eyes brightened. “Awesome! Fang Heng has a way to deal with the barbarian team? That’s a Tier 2 barbarian!”
Right, right, there was no need to panic. Things weren’t that bad. They still had a big shot to cover them!
As a World Lord, Tang Mingyue didn’t have the self-awareness of a big shot. She just wanted to lie flat and wait for Fang Heng to take her away.
“Indeed,” Wei Tao nodded and looked at the mission notification again, but he shook his head. “There is no doubt that Fang Heng is very strong. But look at the mission hints carefully.”
“Hmm…” Mikhael looked at the game hint and nodded. “According to the description of the mission hint, Fang Heng’s team did not defeat the barbarian team. Instead, they used some kind of method to persist in the attack of the barbarian team.”
“In short, he bought us a lot of time, and there are trial rewards.”
The estimated time of the barbarian’s attack on Hani City was delayed by another hour.
Wonderful!
An hour was enough for them to set up more defensive facilities in the city.
“By the way, Your Highness, this is the letter that the Empire sent me to pass to you.”
Brian carefully took out an envelope with a gold rim and handed it to Tang Mingyue with both hands.
“For me?”
Tang Mingyue was a little surprised. She reached out to take the envelope and opened it.
Chi…
A gentle light flashed.
Tang Mingyue frowned.
A spell had been cast on the envelope, and it could only be opened after a special bloodline was verified. Otherwise, the envelope would be completely destroyed.
She opened the letter and read it. The writer expressed his concern for Tang Mingyue and repeatedly told her not to be afraid and to stay in Hani City. The other party had already brought the Empire’s elite team of mages and the Empire royal guards to protect her.
They had urgently mobilized the Empire griffins to head to Hani City and were expected to arrive within two hours at most.
After reading it carefully, the concern and anxiety contained in the letter even made Tang Mingyue feel a little touched by the protection.
When she saw the signature at the end, Tang Mingyue’s face suddenly stiffened.
What the hell! The person who came to rescue her was actually…
He was her brother in name.
His Ninth Highness?
[Hint: Due to the player’s intervention, some mission lines have been changed. The player has received an extra two hours of trial time.]
