1047 The Torture
“Chi Chi Chi!!”
The next moment, fine vines sprang out from under the rotten skin and wrapped around the iron mask.
“Ka!!”
The mask was once again pulled back by the vines!
!!
What was that?!
A zombie?!
With a quick glance, Ventalita was shocked to the core.
“Thump!!!”
One of the tin men rushed forward and took the initiative to attack Ventalita, knocking him back.
Ventalita took two steps back and steadied himself.
The tin man who had taken the initiative to hit him was sent flying by him and fell to the ground. He struggled on the ground, his movements looking extremely funny.
However, Ventalita could not laugh no matter what.
The face he had seen under the armor just now was still lingering in his mind. He felt a sense of fear.
On the sentry tower, everyone fell silent as they saw Ventalita struggling desperately in the midst of the armored zombies.
A chill that rose from the bottom of their hearts enveloped everyone.
Before the barbarians attacked the village, no one had thought that it would turn into such a situation.
They seemed to be able to empathize with the pain Ventalita was currently suffering.
There was even a little bit of sympathy.
From time to time, someone would secretly observe the expressions of Fang Heng and Qiu Yaokang.
Qiu Yaokang had a serious look on his face. He kept taking notes as if he was recording data. He looked very serious.
Fang Heng, on the other hand, revealed a contemplative look.
This was the small test you guys were talking about? You ain’t human!
Ao Cang took a deep breath and warned himself again that these powerful necromancers were his teammates.
Fang Heng’s eyes were fixed on Ventalita, who was struggling non-stop, and he couldn’t help but touch his chin.
Armored zombie?
It seemed interesting.
It was meaty enough!
But thinking about it carefully, the zombie clone already had the effect of the undying body. There was no need to put on the armor and become so meaty. It was adequate enough to deal with Tier 2 barbarians.
Moreover, there was no way to mass-produce this thick iron armor at the current stage. There was really no need.
Fang Heng gave up the idea very quickly. The physical defense set wouldn’t do, but it would be great if he could change it to the magic-immune set. He would have to spend money to get a set no matter what.
Eh?
It didn’t seem impossible.
Fang Heng suddenly recalled an enchantment coating that he had once seen somewhere. A layer of coating could be applied to the armor to increase its magic resistance.
Well, he would continue to look for an opportunity to study it after a period of time.
“Oh, it seems that my guess was right…”
Qiu Yaokang kept writing on the paper and muttered, “It’s been 10 minutes. The black spikes on the barbarians’ bodies are growing slower.”
The crowd looked at the barbarians who were struggling to hold on and then at Qiu Yaokang who was muttering to himself.
Ma Xiaowan really wanted to say, “Is there a need to test this?”
Wasn’t that Tier 2 barbarian just tired?
Necromancers are really…
Disaster!
Fang Heng turned his eyes to the rear of the battlefield again.
After Ventalita was trapped, the rest of the barbarians and beasts were killed by the fusion Tyrant forms and Lickers.
When less than one-third of the group was left, the group of savage beasts started to riot. They began to scatter uncontrollably.
Ventalita was panting heavily.
His physical strength had been greatly consumed, and his struggles were becoming weaker and weaker.
“There’s no sign of him exiting Tier 2 state. It seems that maintaining Tier 2 won’t consume too much physical energy. Anyway, I’ll just trap him first and collect more rhombus-shaped spikes. The current level of the laboratory is low, so I can only do a differentiated test, which will consume a lot of spikes.”
Qiu Yaokang put away his notebook and said casually, “I’ll go back and take a look at the layout of the laboratory first. Oh, and record the time and see if he will automatically exit the Tier 2 state.”
“Go ahead. There’s no problem here. I’ll get someone to send you the spikes later.”
Fang Heng nodded to Qiu Yaokang.
He then looked at Ma Xiaowan and the vice commander of the Empire army, Ao Cang, and asked in a negotiating tone, “I still want to keep the barbarians to continue my research. Can I trouble the mages to temporarily trap him?”
Was this not enough?
Were they really going to torture the barbarian to death?
Ao Cang and Ma Xiaowan looked at each other and felt a chill run down their spines.
“I have no objections. But I’m worried that the other barbarian teams will come to their aid at any time. At that time, we will face a lot of pressure when we face many demonized barbarians at the same time.”
“Yes,” Ma Xiaowan said. “And casting spells continuously will consume a lot of the mages’ energy. If we encounter more barbarians attacking the town, the mages’ control will be weakened a lot.”
“It’s okay. We just need to maintain the situation for the time being. I have a way to deal with the barbarians in the future.”
“Uh, okay…”
Outside the village, Ventalita’s face was stiff.
He was entangled!
He realized that these tin men couldn’t actually cause any substantial damage to him. They didn’t even have weapons in their hands, so the most they could do was collision damage.
And in most cases, after the collision attack, the group of tin men would also sway and fall to the ground.
However, Ventalita could do nothing about it!
The thick armor on the tin men blocked his blackthorns, and each of his attacks seemed to be bombarding a wall.
Although walls could be broken, these tin men would quickly recover after being knocked down!
He looked around and saw that the barbarians and beasts under his command were being devoured and scattered!
The enemy had even begun to collect the spoils of war.
The group of terrifying undead creatures walked out of the village, constantly dragging the corpses of savage beasts into the town.
The fear and anger in Ventalita’s heart were ignited. Black rhombus-shaped spikes emerged from the surface of her body again, and he once again madly crashed into the two nearest tin men.
…
Hani City.
Ever since the Empire’s emergency invasion alarm was sounded, the troops on duty in the villages around Hani City immediately retreated and returned to Hani City.
They would defend Hani City and fight to the death with the barbarians!
During this period of time, other than increasing their defense, Wei Tao and the rest had also made various arrangements.
They even tried to ambush a small barbarian team.
The strength of the barbarian team left a deep impression.
Wei Tao realized that they couldn’t win!
The Tier 2 barbarian was terrifyingly strong, and those strange black rhombus-shaped spikes made people extremely afraid.
When Wei Tao realized that the situation was not good, he immediately chose to retreat with his team.
Fortunately, the team didn’t lose any members.
The players’ morale plummeted, and many of them wondered if there was a problem with the mission process.
How could they fight this?
After some discussion, Wei Tao decided to use Hani City as the base for defense, giving up on the villages nearby and using the strength of the Empire to defend Hani City.
Tang Mingyue’s identity was special. At least, she could give most of the orders to the city and control it in advance.
The players had buried a large number of explosives around the city in advance. If the barbarians dared to attack, they would definitely suffer a big loss!
