1049 Injection
“Boom!”
At the blood altar in the center of the village, the green flame once again shot up into the sky.
[Hint: Player’s current skill-blood summoning’s cooldown time has been reset.]
[Hint: Continuing the ritual during the summoning process can greatly increase the summoning duration.]
[Hint: As the summoning duration increases, blood consumption will also gradually increase.]
Fang Heng looked at the game hint and fell into deep thought.
According to the plan, in order to awaken the unknown sacred tree’s seed, he needed to summon the coffin of the Vampire King and extend the duration of the coffin as much as possible.
Well, the safest plan was to prepare a large amount of blood in advance.
[Hint: The three barbarian teams will arrive and invade the village in 40 minutes.]
Here it comes again!
It just so happened that he was lacking blood, and the enemy came over to deliver materials.
Only the Tier 2 barbarian in the barbarian race was a little troublesome.
With the current strength of the village’s mages, they might not be able to defend against the invasion of three barbarian teams at the same time.
“What should I do…?” Fang Heng touched his chin, feeling a little worried.
“Fang Heng! Fang Heng!!”
Mo Jiawei ran over excitedly and shouted along the way, “Fang Heng, Genius Qiu has made a big discovery. He’s asking you to go over and take a look.”
“I’ll be there immediately.”
Fang Heng replied and followed Mo Jiawei to look for Qiu Yaokang.
In the newly built wooden house of the basic research Institute, Qiu Yaokang was fiddling with something in front of the research device with a serious expression.
“Genius Qiu, I’ve called Fang Heng over. Where’s the big discovery?”
“Well, don’t be so anxious. Take a look at this first.”
Qiu Yaokang gestured to another test bench beside him and went over. He took out a transparent flask, which contained the black rhombus-shaped spikes he had extracted from the barbarian who was in Tier 2 demonized state.
Then, he used a tweezer to take out a rice-sized purple essence from another vessel.
The tweezer held the purple essence and slowly approached the spike.
“Chi!”
As soon as the two came into contact, the black rhombus-shaped spikes melted away as if they were being corroded.
Mo Jiawei was shocked and asked, “What’s the situation?”
Qiu Yaokang nodded and said, “The black rhombus-shaped crystal that condensed on the surface of the Tier 2 barbarian is a compound. Due to the current experimental environment, there is no way to analyze it in detail. As for the purple essence, it is very interesting.”
“Interesting?”
“Well, to be precise, purple essence is an undiscovered mix of bacteria. I think it should be a creature unique to this world.”
“Ah? Bacteria?”
“Yes, it’s a very strange bacteria. It can devour and break down prismatic crystals, and even devour the flesh and blood of barbarians.”
Qiu Yaokang nodded. His eyes were deep as he thought, “It’s as if this bacteria was born to suppress the barbarians.”
Fang Heng frowned.
“I don’t have any experimental evidence, but based on my many years of experience, it’s almost impossible for this bacteria to form naturally. I think purple essence should be a bacteria that has been specially cultivated.”
“In addition, I’ve also conducted a preliminary autopsy analysis on the barbarian corpses. Their body structure is more than 99% similar to that of humans. More specific analysis will have to wait until the laboratory is upgraded.”
As he spoke, Qiu Yaokang took out a silver box from under the experiment table.
“And this, this is the experimental potion I developed using the purple essence.”
Fang Heng’s eyes lit up, “New potion? How’s the effect?”
“Against a Tier 2 barbarian, there is a 72% chance that the injection will freeze the barbarian’s muscles.”
“Freeze?” Fang Heng asked with a puzzled look.
“Well, you can think of it as a deep coma. It’s a deep paralysis of the muscles and organs on the physical level. Even if you’re attacked, you can’t wake up.”
Qiu Yaokang said as he opened the box, revealing the syringes and potions inside.
“Purple essence is rare, and the potions can’t be mass-produced. There are only twelve potions in total. Use them sparingly.”
“Genius Qiu! You’re awesome!”
Mo Jiawei came closer and looked at the box of potions. He could not help but rub his hands in excitement. He was thankful that Fang Heng was wise enough to bring Qiu Yaokang here for the trial.
He alone was definitely comparable to an entire team!
Qiu Yaokang continued, “The needle was also made with purple essence. It can easily penetrate the black stratum corneum of a Tier 2 barbarian. Try to recycle it as much as possible.”
“But there’s only a 72% success rate. What if it fails?”
“Then inject another time,” Qiu Yaokang said as he glanced at Mo Jiawei and said calmly. “But if it’s you, there shouldn’t be such a problem.”
Mo Jiawei shivered when he saw Qiu Yaokang’s gaze, which was filled with the desire to dissect him. “Well, okay, pretend I didn’t ask.”
[Hint: The player has received ABU21834 experimental potion (made by Qiu Yaokang)*12.]
[Item: ABU21834 experimental potion.]
Description: A potion that has unknown effects on Tier 2 barbarians.
…
On the city wall, looking at Ventalita, who was constantly being hit and tortured by the armored zombies, Ma Xiaowan’s heart sank.
The two sides were clearly at each other’s throats just now, but seeing the enemy being tortured so badly, Ma Xiaowan couldn’t bear it and even wanted to give him a quick death.
The others’ expressions did not look good either.
Everyone had the same thought.
It was too tragic!
Ventalita panted heavily as he was constantly hit back and forth by the tin man. The growth of the Black Diamond-shaped spikes on his body had become extremely slow.
Fang Heng came to the sentry tower and looked at Ventalita, who was being besieged by the armored zombies and was lost in thought for a moment.
It seemed that the growth of the spikes on the barbarian’s body was limited.
As if…
If he could use some method…
Fang Heng felt a flash of inspiration in his mind.
Mo Jiawei interrupted Fang Heng’s thoughts and asked, “Fang Heng, it’s almost time, right? Why don’t we give him a shot to test the effect?”
“Ah, oh, okay…”
Fang Heng came back to his senses.
For now, he had to test the effects of the injection.
He looked at Mo Jiawei and asked, “You do it?”
Mo Jiawei looked at the Tier 2 barbarian below him and felt a little guilty. He said, “I think it’s better if you do it. Show me an example.”
“Come, let’s go together.”
Fang Heng said as he jumped down from the sentry tower.
Mo Jiawei nodded and followed him down.
Ventalita’s physical strength had reached its limit, and he fought tenaciously with his willpower.
Seeing Fang Heng appear, Ventalita seized the last chance and immediately pounced on him.
However, after being slowed by spells and being abused for more than 50 minutes, his physical strength could not keep up at all.
Whoosh!!
Fang Heng teleported in front of Ventalita and appeared behind him.
“Bang!!”
He punched forward.
Fang Heng frowned.
The cuticles on the Tier 2 barbarian’s skin were extremely hard and rough. When he punched them, he felt pain.
Ventalita was even more miserable. He was thrown into a group of tin men after being punched by Fang Heng.
