For two consecutive days, Almi dealt with Wen Xiangge multiple times, indeed finding opportunities for assassination.
But each time, he hesitated and gave up.
These two days have also given Almi a more comprehensive understanding of the Great Elder through Wen Xiangge’s way of treating the weak.
He grew increasingly admiring of Wen Xiangge.
Moreover, the Bunker was teeming with talent, making him feel that the Bunker was the true sanctuary.
Meanwhile, Almi also experienced some of the facilities over these two days.
This was a crucial aspect.
In the Hundred Me labyrinth, Almi underwent a "self" dialogue.
He finally ceased wandering, seeing clearly what he truly desired to achieve in his heart.
"I want this Commerce Association to never enslave me again!"
On the sixth day, Almi made a bold decision. He had great confidence in Wen Xiangge, believing that his honesty would not result in betrayal from Wen Xiangge.
He also believed that the Bunker might just need someone like him to surrender.
Thus, on the sixth day, Almi found Wen Xiangge:
"Elder Wen, I have something I want to tell you. I am not from the Bunker; I... come from Hunter City."
At first, Wen Xiangge didn’t understand, maintaining a calm demeanor, but gradually realized the gravity of the matter as Almi continued speaking.
He immediately sought out Wen Xishu.
On the afternoon of the sixth day, Albert and Wen Xishu, these two true heroes of the Bunker, destined to alter the course of the Three Towers War...
Appeared at Shipwreck House.
Shipwreck House is a place where friendships can easily overturn, but Wen Xishu is the master of this house; he can bring a tone of seriousness to the conversation.
Almi looked at Wen Xishu, finding it hard to imagine that Wen Xishu looked younger than himself...
He only knew of Wen Xishu’s myriad legendary experiences, never expecting that such a legendary figure was just past eighteen...
As for the other elder, Albert also appeared paradoxically youthful for his ninety-plus years.
A nonagenarian... looking more like he was fifty or sixty?
The powerful aura both brought, the extreme sense of oppression, further inspired a sense of reverence in Almi.
"Almi, thank you for your honesty. In this room, no one can lie."
"Now, please tell us everything you know about Hunter City."
"I need detailed information, like the list of Hunters who can enter the Bunker. It’s best if their various details are included."
Speaking was Wen Xishu.
Wen Xishu truly hadn’t expected Wen Xiangge to score another great achievement. This old charlatan indeed has his charm.
"Rest assured, we will respond kindly to your honesty. I will ensure your safe return to Hunter City, even if you haven’t completed your mission; I know how to let you deceive the ’mission’."
"I am very aware of the scoring rules, and both Wen Xiangge and I have prepared well."
Almi’s greatest worry was that his surrender would prevent him from making a living in Hunter City.
After all, though the Bunker is good, one can only stay there for seven days.
Now, hearing Wen Xishu speak this way, he was thrilled.
"Can I avoid harming Elder Wen Xiangge and return safely to Hunter City?"
Wen Xishu smiled and said:
"Certainly, if I guessed correctly, the task evaluation mechanism you experience upon entering the Bunker is the same as the one I experienced entering Deceit Tower, only in reverse."
"You could even play the role of a Bunker addict, telling Hunter City people that you’re constantly craving the Bunker, and rush to the Bunker immediately upon returning to Hunter City."
"As to the matter of task completion, we’ll help you wrap it up, the Bunker always welcomes you."
"Treat this as your home, but correspondingly, you possess qualities others do not. We also hope... Comrade Almi, that you will join us in building the Bunker, and together liberate Hunter City in the future."
Almi nodded frantically. As the conversation reached this point, he stood up directly, finally able to embrace his new beliefs openly:
"Rest assured, Sect Hierarch! I will ensure the mission’s completion!"
