After no longer feeling lost, Wen Xishu had already realized it all.
But 001 being able to go from never being confused, to recognizing reality, and accepting not being his true self... this process indeed made Wen Xishu admire him.
"All of this is a kill move aimed at you, normally, it shouldn’t happen this fast. But you can understand it as your efficiency in tower climbing being too high, altering too many trajectories, and already causing the Outer Gods to be wary."
"The Outer Gods granted me powerful strength to kill you. But the gods belonging to the Three Towers, conversely, completed every self here, allowing them to have a thought process like yours."
"Here, you can see the game between both sides."
Wen Xishu understood.
This struggle among hundreds of selves is, in essence, the Outer Gods’ means of obliterating him. In fact, that’s why the Deceit Tower is so perilous.
Correspondingly, the various ways to break the situation in the Deceit Tower are yet another God’s means.
For now, it seems that the Outer Gods have not fully descended, nor can the gods of the Three Towers fully awaken.
This might be related to the Twelve Constellations.
Wen Xishu said:
"All of this seems a bit too fast for me. I feel like you’ve suddenly had a great epiphany."
shook his head and said:
"Not suddenly. During the time you were in a coma, I witnessed your complete destiny track. That made me realize the crucial point of the problem."
"Listen closely, the Outer Gods are entities not inferior to constellation-level, and many surpass the constellations. The tower’s power attracted them, sparking this war. There are many Outer Gods; most are our enemies, a few may be related to us."
"Climbing the tower can reverse those supposed to be affected by the Outer Gods. But not all."
"As for the reason, you should know clearly."
After a brief thought, Wen Xishu nodded slowly:
"Yes, I understand."
Wen Xishu’s first tower climb was on the 21st floor. That’s where he met Jack and Jennifer.
But the 21st floor had many other tasks.
Jack and Jennifer might not be the best ’Qualified’.
Yet, since then, Wen Xishu never revisited the 21st floor. Along the way, Wen Xishu never experienced the same levels.
For example, on the seventh floor, encountering the An Family Brothers, after changing their destiny trajectories, he never went back to the seventh floor.
Due to high completion rates, levels always got higher.
This led to a conflict—
The higher your tower climbing completion rate, the less likely you’d appear twice on the same level or receive different tasks on that level.
But if you lower the tower climbing completion rate, then the change to the target’s destiny trajectory isn’t thorough, losing the purpose of climbing the tower.
Thus, Wen Xishu is destined not to reverse everyone’s destiny trajectory.
He can only make some people the main force in the future Three Towers War within this desperate world.
That’s what he can do.
Wen Xishu recalled what Scorpio said recently, and he said:
"I know, I will keep an eye on the Outer Gods. I’m also fully aware of their importance."
nodded and continued:
"Secondly, be cautious of particularly key artifacts, such as... the Heart of Fusion."
Just when Wen Xishu thought 001 would repeat what Scorpio had said, he never expected 001 to directly mention the name of the artifact.
"Remember, some artifacts appear out of nowhere, some people appearing in your life are full of riddles, and you must be cautious of these people, definitely cautious!"
"They might not be bad people, but they themselves don’t know their destiny, unaware of when they’ll be targeted by the Outer Gods."
Wen Xishu thought of Mr. Jin.
Initially, Aries found Mr. Jin, seemingly to find a way not to kill the constellations but to become a god.
Finding this method is indeed the wish of every constellation.
That’s the fate they all long to escape from.
Similarly, Jin Zhenyuan, Mr. Jin, also has his own fate and desire; he wishes for the Dragon Hide Plan to succeed, thus Mr. Jin used something left by Phoenix to create the Heart of Fusion.
At this moment, Wen Xishu suddenly understood the absurdity in this.
Such a heavenly-defying artifact, something that can merge constellation destinies, something that can control Longxia’s monstrous consciousness...
Mr. Jin had it from the beginning.
Back then, Sagittarius casually told him these things, but presumably, even Sagittarius found it unreasonable.
The description at the time was like this:
"But after Libra and Aries found Jin Zhenyuan, he began avoiding contact with Longxia and became a power of his own."
"It seems Jin Zhenyuan learned some forbidden secrets, and I personally speculate that the eldest and Libra conducted some kind of experiment on Jin Zhenyuan."
"This experiment involved the Heart of Fusion, and during the process of using it, Jin Zhenyuan seemed to have glimpsed secrets even I don’t know."
"Eventually, he took his power into the Bunker."
Revisiting these words now, Wen Xishu already sensed a smell of conspiracy.
He initially thought Xiaojin was a product brought about by the Heart of Fusion, that the Heart of Fusion allowed Xiaojin to become anyone, even a constellation.
This artifact is indeed heavenly-defying, but during Xiaojin’s simulation of Gemini, Xiaojin unexpectedly split into two.
One was taken by Mr. Jin to the Bunker.
The other was lost on the Three-Tower Battlefield, carrying the Heart of Fusion, and eventually, Wen Xishu obtained the Heart of Fusion.
