"Feifei, this is Mr. Zhou Wang, a distinguished guest visiting the Magic City for the first time. Later, you must accompany Mr. Zhou for a few drinks..."
Listening to Shi Tian’s introduction, Bai Feifei, who had been slightly lowering her head, finally raised her eyes for the first time, looking with curiosity at the man sitting at the main seat.
It’s been more than six months since Bai Feifei signed with Shi Tian. As a newcomer debuting in a girl group, among the numerous artists under Shi Tian’s management, the six girls of their group undoubtedly have the lowest status.
The other five companions have been taken by Shi Tian more than once to various social events... Bai Feifei is the only exception.
It’s not because Bai Feifei isn’t beautiful; quite the opposite. Shi Tian knows very well how attractive Bai Feifei, with her impeccable appearance and high emotional intelligence, is to men. Hence, in her own plans, Bai Feifei is used as an ace...
Bai Feifei is also aware of this.
So today, as she participates in a business engagement for the first time, Bai Feifei is naturally very curious about what kind of person has made Shi Tian finally decide to use her ace.
You should know, Shi Tian is also a well-known strong woman in the Magic City entertainment industry with an impressive background. Bai Feifei chose to sign with Phoenix Entertainment under her management due to the guidance of a club manager... Though Shi Tian doesn’t know Bai Feifei’s true background, even if she knew, she probably wouldn’t care.
When Bai Feifei saw that handsome face from her dream, which had ravaged her soaking imagination last night, she froze and almost exclaimed aloud.
Fortunately, she had received professional training, and she managed to control her almost out-of-control expression in the end.
Yet, her eyes couldn’t help but reveal emotions like surprise, disbelief, excitement, and anxiety.
On the other side, when Zhou Wang recognized the girl in front of him as the close acquaintance he sought at the club the night before, he could only marvel at how truly small the world is.
As for Shi Tian’s introduction...
Naive?
Zhou Wang almost couldn’t hold his laughter at that moment.
Girls more sensible than Bai Feifei are rare and few between.
"Hey, President Shi, I think I’ve seen this girl somewhere before. Last time I visited your Phoenix Entertainment, you mentioned her..."
Jian Zhuoran said with a smile, "She’s the champion of your new talent competition this year, right? To leave a good impression on Mr. Zhou, you really are bringing out all your assets!"
"It’s rare for Mr. Jian to remember. Feifei is indeed excellent, and I’m cultivating her as the company’s future pillar..."
While speaking, Shi Tian glanced at Zhou Wang, seeing him already captivated, feeling assured while a hint of pride flashed in her eyes.
"Feifei, why are you still standing there? Hurry and sit down!"
After turning around, seeing Bai Feifei still rooted in place, Shi Tian couldn’t help but frown.
What is wrong with this girl? Normally she seems so clever, why has she turned silly now?
"Ah, okay, yes..."
Bai Feifei, like waking from a dream, responded and quickly went to sit at the temporary spot added to Zhou Wang’s left.
But what left Shi Tian speechless was that the girl didn’t seem to know what to do next, just sat there with her head lowered, appearing nervously uneasy.
Shi Tian didn’t believe Bai Feifei was truly nervous; she was just thinking... Even if this girl wants to pretend to be naive, isn’t she overdoing it?
"Feifei, aren’t you going to toast Mr. Zhou?"
Reluctantly, Shi Tian reminded again.
"Mr. Zhou, I, I toast to you..."
After the excitement and surprise, Bai Feifei indeed became very nervous.
Primarily for two reasons.
One aspect was that Zhou Wang knew her true identity, and on the other hand, she was uncertain whether her appearance here would make Zhou Wang displeased...
Yes, in the club’s contractual relationship, she now equates to being Zhou Wang’s exclusive **, and she didn’t actually know that the protagonist of today’s banquet was Zhou Wang.
So the question arises, would this behavior be seen by Zhou Wang as a "betrayal"?
"Miss Bai, nice to meet you."
Zhou Wang, after his initial shock, had regained his composure, and smiled meaningfully at Bai Feifei while raising his glass.
Seeing Zhou Wang had no intention to expose her, Bai Feifei also breathed a deep sigh of relief, her smile turning radiant and charming again.
"Mm... Ah!"
Just after clinking glasses, Bai Feifei’s hand trembled, exclaiming aloud.
"Feifei, what’s wrong?"
Everyone at the table looked over in surprise, and Shi Tian asked in confusion.
Bai Feifei, her cheeks blooming with a charming red, quickly adjusted her expression, "It’s nothing. Mm, maybe this wine is too strong, I’m not used to drinking it..."
"Indeed, you usually don’t drink much. How about this, drink red wine... Mr. Zhou, is that okay?"
"Of course, it’s okay. Miss Bai, please yourself."
Seeing Zhou Wang’s courteous response to Shi Tian, Bai Feifei, flushed, couldn’t help but lower her head.
Under the tablecloth’s visual barrier, her skirt had already risen, and through that thin fabric, one could vaguely see a large hand crazily at play...
...
"Dad, drink some soup to settle your stomach."
Separated by a wall, at the round dining table crafted from original wood, Yu Fei placed a freshly served bowl of fish soup in front of Yu Zetao, urging in a low voice.
Already feeling dizzy, Yu Zetao took the fish soup, but before he could drink a bit, laughter already came from the side.
"Mr. Yu, I heard from your chat with Dean Wang, your pharmaceutical business seems not easy these past two years, right?"
