The envoy from Shala Country brought lavish tributes and a letter of subjugation.
The Emperor hosted a banquet to entertain the delegation from Shala Country. The Princess of Shala specially performed a dance for the Emperor.
Tianmiao was watching with great interest. This style of dance had a different charm compared to the dances of their own country.
After watching for a while, the Emperor lowered his voice and said to Tianmiao, "Mother, if only you had this Jade Pendant. You have no idea how funny the nonsense Lin Daying is thinking about now."
"What is it?" Tianmiao asked with a smile.
"Something about Huanzhu Princess, something about Xiangfei. She’s just imagining wildly. Would this Princess also have a childhood sweetheart, someone who might try to assassinate me and elope for so-called true love? Would there also be some brainless fool appearing? Ah, Mother, the term ’brainless’ seems to mean someone whose brain is defective, silly, not like normal people." The Emperor kindly explained at the end. This was something he learned from Lin Daying, and it was quite amusing.
"The Imperial Palace is heavily guarded, where would an assassin come from? And Shala Country fears our retaliation, so they would handle such issues completely. Lin Daying’s thoughts are indeed very amusing," Tianmiao said with a laugh.
"Indeed, Lin Daying sometimes has the most bizarre things in her mind. Who knows what she thinks about all day. But it’s quite entertaining to watch her antics, haha." The Emperor couldn’t help but chuckle softly.
At this moment, Lin Daying was still frowning while watching the Princess from Shala Country dance. Shala Country is so similar to Persia, and the dance is quite beautiful. If there really was a childhood sweetheart coming to take the Emperor’s interest away, wouldn’t that just be another version of Xiangfei? But speaking of which, this Princess is really beautiful. Light green eyes, deep-set eyes, a high nose bridge. Could the Emperor be attracted to this type?
Ah, men all like novelty. But I still hope the Emperor doesn’t like her; otherwise, there will be another rival. Lin Daying muttered in her heart. She now realized that she couldn’t return to her original world. Previously, she thought since she had become the Emperor’s concubine, she should find a way to live better. Now that she’s pregnant, her thoughts have changed again.
Having become a mother, she wants to protect the life within her belly. In this unfamiliar Otherworld, she now has someone who shares her bloodline. This feeling is utterly different. She will live earnestly, truly integrating into this world.
"You already have the Emperor’s child now, sometimes you can say you’re feeling unwell to get the Emperor to visit you more," Lin Daying’s system appeared again, trying to assert its presence.
"Shut up, idiot. If I could reach you, I’d have smashed you into a pile of scrap metal long ago. You’ve lost contact with your master, yet you keep droning on. What’s the use of you now? So what if my points are deducted to a negative? Even when there were points, you couldn’t open the mall to buy anything. Idiot, get lost!" Lin Daying was smiling and drinking juice with the nearby concubines, while inside she was furiously railing against her system.
"That was an accident. Sooner or later, I’ll reconnect with the main god." the system retorted.
"Shut up, are you playing dumb or are you really dumb? Your main god has long abandoned you," Lin Daying continued to curse in her heart. She had long seen through it, this so-called system, being disconnected from the main god. This thing must have been abandoned by the so-called main system.
"By the way, can I ask you if there are other systems like you in this world?" Lin Daying asked.
"Didn’t you just tell me to shut up?" the system asked.
"Have you shut up now?" Lin Daying asked irritably.
"No. There are others like me," the system answered. It was somewhat resigned now, the main god seemed to have truly given up on them. Whatever, it didn’t know how much longer it could operate, so it might as well chat and banter with the host.
