The shadow on the eastern wall of the war room bulged slightly before Jason slowly walked out from it with his hands in his pockets. There was a bored look on Jason’s face as he scanned the entire room, and every single person that Jason looked at felt a shiver go down their spine from fear! Unlike the female witches, the males in this world did not have the ability to use magic, and they had only evolved to be physically stronger than regular humans! And the fact that they couldn’t use any magic meant that they didn’t have any way to counter the intense pressure that Jason was releasing! It was like a rabbit suddenly found itself in the middle of a lion’s den with nowhere to go! Jason moved towards the table in the middle of the room, and he came to stand beside the Honduran King before humming as he looked down at the map.
"Who... Who are you?"
The King finally managed to get his words out in a shaky voice, and Jason glanced at the King for a moment and then studied the runes on the King’s body curiously before looking back at the map. Jason could feel a little more power flowing out from the King compared to the other men in the room, and Jason knew that the King was using runes that were more powerful to boost his strength. Jason had already analysed many runes used by the Hondurans, and from what Jason had seen, the runes were somewhere around third to fourth rank runes. The stronger generals and lieutenants were using the third-ranked runes, while the weaker common soldiers were using the fourth-ranked runes.
The runic language used by the Hondurans was not as effective as the Aruna language, but it was still effective enough to boost the strength of their most powerful soldiers to around SSS Rank.
Jason traced a line across the map slowly while answering the king’s question.
"My name is Jason. I’m the Overlord in charge of this Domain."
The King was immediately confused.
"The Overlord? What’s an Overlord?"
"Be quiet for now and move."
Jason shoved the king out of the way very softly, and the king nearly fell to his ass as he stumbled back into the wall! The King felt his eyes widen in shock! The raw power that he had felt in that one push had just showed him that they were dealing with something way outside their understanding! The King knew he was not a weak man! He had enough strength-enhancing runes on his body to make him stronger than nearly anyone else on this continent, other than the Witch of Calamity! But when Jason pushed him, it felt like he had just been slammed by a mountain! The King couldn’t even begin to wrap his head around how powerful Jason was!
Jason still had one hand in his pocket, and he was tracing some lines on the map and looking through the military plans without a care in the world. This had been a serious war meeting where they discussed life and death just a few seconds ago, but now it felt like Jason was in his living room! The entire room was silent for about five minutes as Jason studied all the tactics and checked out many troops that were left in the various kingdoms, and once Jason was done, he stepped back and clapped his hands once to draw everyone’s attention to him.
"Alright, everyone, listen up. I understand that you’re confused about who I am or what I’m doing here, so allow me to explain things in a way you can understand. Your world is part of a larger primordial Expanse with millions of other worlds. In the Primordial Expanse, there are various domains ruled by their own individual overlords. And your world falls into the sixth domain governed by me. It has come to my attention that your world is at war. Now I normally would not involve myself in situations like this. The war between inhabitants of the same world is not my concern. But when that war spills out into other worlds and begins to cause problems for the trade routes in my domain, then it becomes my problem."
Jason looked around the room to make sure that everyone was still listening attentively. It was almost like a teacher giving a lecture to his students, and Jason waited for them to fully digest what he had said before he finally dropped the largest bomb.
"Now, as a result of your actions, I have decided to put an end to this war once and for all. Congratulations, the war is over."
Jason gave the gathered soldiers a calm nod, and then he put his hands in his pockets and began to walk out! The scene around the room was one of pure and absolute disbelief! Everyone from the generals to the guards to the fucking king had looks of utter confusion and shock on their faces as they wondered what in the world Jason was talking about! The war was ove!r? What gave him the right to decide something like that? He wasn’t even from their world, so how could he end a war that didn’t concern him!?
The King stepped forward with trembling feet to speak up.
"L-Lord Jason. I don’t know why you are suddenly interested in this war, but our people have been fighting for our freedom from those witches for centuries. If you wish to end the war, then I have nothing against it. All I ask is that you kill the witch who is trying to take over our land."
The room went silent again as they all waited for Jason’s answer. From the power that they could feel rolling off Jason, they all knew that Jason was more than powerful enough to take down the witch all on his own! If Jason decided to kill the witch for them, then they didn’t have any problems with it! But Jason suddenly scowled, and the King took a step back in fear as Jason spoke up.
"I’d advise you to choose your words very carefully from now on. This is not a democracy, and I was not asking for your opinion about how to run my domain. I looked through your world’s history and the things you’ve done to those women you tagged as witches for the past few hundred years. If you ask me, the Witch of Calamity has every right to demand the head of every single person in this world. But fortunately for you, it’s my job to ensure this world doesn’t collapse, so your lives are safe for now. Now, I’ve given you an order, and I expect it to be fulfilled in full before the day is over. Recall your armies and send them home to their families. Anyone I see on the battlefield in the next twenty-four hours will be killed."
Jason fell into the shadow once he was done with his message, and everyone in the room took in a collective deep breath as they felt air returning to their lungs!
"Oh god, who was that!?"
"He’s the devil! That power isn’t normal!!"
"I thought only women could have magic! That man is also a witch!"
"My King, what should we do? Do you believe he’ll do what he says?"
"Should we recall the army?"
The king had his hand over his head as he leaned back against the wall in exhaustion! Standing up to Jason back then had taken everything out of him, and he needed to catch his breath for a few more seconds!
Doon!
The great pressure from before suddenly appeared again, and everyone turned towards the east wall immediately! Jason appeared from the wall again, and he pointed at Patrice.
"You’re useful. Come with me."
"Wha-?"
Patrice didn’t even have the time to ask what Jason was talking about before a shadow soldier appeared from behind, grabbed his shoulder, and pulled him into the shadows! The remaining men in the room could only stare at the location where one of their strongest soldiers had just been kidnapped, like he was a child, and they all realised that this was something truly out of their league.
