Halfway through the flight, the wind dissipated, and the feather fell to the ground.
The woman waved her sleeve, a gust of wind blew over, and the feather remained on the ground, motionless.
This feather was stuck.
Li Banfeng knew the power of the glue mud; back in Blue Poplar Village, he used glue mud to kill Song Jiason.
But for Li Banfeng today, things like glue mud are really insignificant.
The woman leapt, transforming into a streak of red light and flew beside the wooden house: "Senior brother, the peddler and I are waiting for you inside, you are welcome to visit before nightfall, but after nightfall, you shouldn't enter as we, the couple, need to attend to some serious matters."
This imposed a time limit on Li Banfeng; if he couldn't enter the wooden house before nightfall, it meant he wouldn't see the peddler.
The woman entered the wooden house, and Li Banfeng stared at the glue mud on the ground, not considering it much of a challenge.
Can't I just fly over directly?
He used the Wind Riding Cloud Driving Skill, flew halfway up, and suddenly saw the woman appear on the second floor of the wooden house, pulling the slingshot in her hand aimed at Li Banfeng.
Whizz!
A stone flew toward Li Banfeng.
Using this to hit me? How childish!
Although Li Banfeng was less agile in the air than on the ground, dodging a single stone was surely not a problem.
When the stone was still more than twenty meters away from Li Banfeng, it suddenly split into three.
Dodging three stones isn't too difficult either.
When the stones were within about ten meters of Li Banfeng, they split into about thirty.
This became hard to dodge.
When the stones approached Li Banfeng, they split into over a hundred.
Li Banfeng used his movement technique and the Carefree Freedom Technique, the Tang Sword, and Clock Pendulum helped him with the block, yet he was hit in the chest by one stone.
This strike made Li Banfeng cough and wheeze for a while, forcing him to land.
The woman laughed: "Senior brother, your movement technique isn't very nimble; you'll need to temper it for a few more days. We, the couple, are waiting for you inside the house, you better come sooner."
The woman went back inside; Li Banfeng walked a few laps around, intending to rush toward the wooden house again when she was not paying attention.
The Wine Gourd shouted: "Little brother, don't be hasty. When I was under Elder Yao's command, I heard him mention a type of formation called the glue mud formation,
this formation is simple and effective; he said the essence of the glue mud formation isn't on the ground but in midair."
Li Banfeng carefully recalled the previous situation: "Was the woman an arrow cultivator? Using arrow repair skill to hit enemies in midair, is that the essence of this formation?"
"Little brother is correct," the Wine Gourd floated in midair, seriously explaining to Li Banfeng, "The glue mud is laid in front of the armies; the enemy certainly can't walk over it, they can only try to fly over it,
there are thousand methods of flying, but most require focus, and flying is certainly less nimble than being on the ground,
at this moment, dispatching an arrow cultivator, with nothing to conceal in midair, the enemy cannot dodge and cannot land, they can only wait to be hit."
Li Banfeng glanced at the distant wooden house; though he hadn't seen the glue mud formation on the battlefield, the Wine Gourd's description was very clear.
In this scenario, Li Banfeng couldn't fly over; he had to find a way to walk over.
Walking over seemed not too difficult; Li Banfeng had iron shoes specifically for the glue mud.
Returning to the Portable Residence, Li Banfeng was changing shoes; the phonograph asked: "Husband, what are you doing putting on iron shoes?"
Li Banfeng replied: "I encountered a woman at Jiaoqi River, she's the peddler's lover, setting up a glue mud formation for me to break through,
I wanted to fly over but she can use arrow repair skill; after being disadvantaged by her, I now plan to wear iron shoes to walk over."
Upon hearing this, Hong Ying turned her head from the dressing table: "Qi Lang, was the woman dressed all in red?"
Li Banfeng nodded: "Yes, dressed in red, do you know her?"
Hong Ying nodded: "Arrow cultivators are rare; she's an expert with glue mud and a lover of miscellaneous goods, surely it's that bitch Lu Qianjiao,
Qi Lang, you can't wear iron shoes; the glue mud formation is her specialty dual-act, you must listen to me, use the Short Step to rush through."
Use Short Step?
Li Banfeng considered the extent of the glue mud formation.
"Surrounding two hundred meters, all is glue mud, how can Short Step manage?"
"How long is two hundred meters?" Hong Ying was accustomed to measurements and had little concept of two hundred meters.
The phonograph gestured a meter distance; Hong Ying roughly thought about it and said: "That's not long; using Short Step is enough, Qi Lang just rush forward, as long as your foot doesn't touch the ground, you'll be past it in a blink."
Using Short Step to rush two hundred meters?
Short Step technique has a strong uncertainty; not to say two hundred meters, even for fifty meters, Li Banfeng couldn't guarantee his foot wouldn't touch the ground.
The phonograph shook the Big Horn: "Ying Ying can manage, husband, you may not be able; better think of something else."
Li Banfeng picked up the iron shoes: "Isn't this just a good method? The glue mud doesn't stick to iron shoes."
Hong Ying said: "Lu Qianjiao's formation is different; beneath the glue mud is silt. Qi Lang, wearing iron shoes, although glue mud doesn't stick to iron shoes, the iron shoes will sink into the silt,
at that time, Qi Lang will be trapped in her formation, removing the iron shoes will get stuck in glue mud, wearing iron shoes will be trapped in silt, and if she uses arrow repair skill again, where could Qi Lang dodge?"
"Beneath glue mud there's silt..." Li Banfeng pondered awhile, "Then I'll have to use the Path-breaking Technique."
"Path-breaking Technique also won't work," Hong Ying knew Lu Qianjiao's glue mud formation well, "the depth of the silt beneath glue mud is unknown; even if Qi Lang exhausts all his energy, he might not be able to create a path,
moreover, silt flows, maintaining a path won't last a moment and quickly heals; what if Qi Lang hasn't reached the place, he'll be wrapped in silt?"
