Chapter 1104: Joining Forces to Defeat
Thinking of this, Sikong Jingyun struggled vigorously and finally broke free from Fang Yan, then struck towards Chen Tianlong.
Just as he charged halfway, he suddenly felt a fierce palm wind from behind. Sikong Jingyun was greatly shocked and hurriedly turned around, only to find Fang Yan had caught up again.
With no other choice, Sikong Jingyun had to turn back to fight.
However, at that exact moment he turned, Chen Tianlong picked up a short knife from the ground, gathered powerful Qi, and tried using the Soul-Stealing Three Needles technique to throw it.
Whoosh~
The short knife whistled through the air, and Sikong Jingyun obviously sensed it. But since he was exchanging palms with Fang Yan, he couldn’t dodge, only slightly shifted his body.
However, just when he thought he could evade it, he suddenly found the short knife transformed into countless ones, leaving him stunned.
In his urgency, Sikong Jingyun withdrew his palm and directly used Qi for defense. Chen Tianlong’s short knife didn’t pierce Sikong Jingyun’s body, but Fang Yan’s palm landed on his chest.
With a bang.
Sikong Jingyun slid more than ten meters on the ground, finally kneeling on one knee, gasping heavily, clearly greatly weakened.
Looking around, Sikong Jingyun realized the situation was hopeless, with only one thought left: escape!
"Take him down!" The Red-eyed Eagle had already regained his breath. Seeing Sikong Jingyun kneeling, clearly heavily injured, it was a great opportunity.
Chen Tianlong nodded, picked up a nearby long sword, and prepared to charge forward.
Suddenly, three or four smoke bombs appeared in front of him, instantly billowing with smoke and dust. Chen Tianlong quickly closed his eyes for X-ray vision, discovering it was Xue Kong’s doing.
He hesitated; if he captured Xue Kong now, he would surely be killed by the Red-eyed Eagle and others. If Xue Kong truly was just amnesiac, it would be a disaster.
Chen Tianlong pretended not to see, while Xue Kong grabbed Sikong Jingyun from the ground and ran toward the mountain exit. Hao Shuai, seeing the situation lost, quickly followed down the mountain.
"Don’t let them escape!" Red-eyed Eagle noticed and immediately commanded.
Upon hearing, the uninjured Lin Xiaoting hurriedly charged to the mountain exit, ready to chase when Chen Tianlong suddenly stopped her.
"Chen Tianlong...."
Chen Tianlong shook his head, and Lin Xiaoting seemed to understand something, quickly halted.
"Don’t chase, Sikong Jingyun is indeed injured, but being a Celestial Dao Seven-star Great Perfection master, once he fights desperately, I fear apart from myself, no one can stop him. It’s better to spare him; otherwise, the Celestial Pill Sect might use it as an excuse to attack the Black Alliance again."
Fang Yan was not letting the tiger return to the mountain, but the Celestial Pill Sect was indeed too powerful. If Sikong Jingyun really died, even if he was wrong, the Celestial Pill Sect would bring troops to destroy the Black Alliance.
But if Sikong Jingyun is unharmed, even if the Celestial Pill Sect knows about this, they wouldn’t dare act rashly, after all, would they have a point if they can’t win?
Hao Shuai, Xue Kong, and Sikong Jingyun, after going down the mountain, were not stopped either, as Fang Yan ordered not to, avoiding the Celestial Pill Sect using this as another excuse to rally troops.
Thus, the turmoil passed, and as for the top experts of the eight sects, the Red-eyed Eagle didn’t kill them but held them together with Thunder Tiger in the Black Alliance’s prison, which was worse than death.
However, most of them already had completely severed meridians, nearly crippled, so being in prison makes little difference.
The next day, the Red-eyed Eagle ascended the Black Alliance’s throne again, appointed Niu Xiaosan as Right Protector, and Lin Xiaoting as Left Protector, leading an army of thirty thousand. From this tempest, the Red-eyed Eagle realized that having a large army isn’t enough; loyalty is needed.
"Chairman Hong, I just want to say, the Black Alliance should pursue a righteous path. Don’t tell me about past foundations; if not for my master bringing troops, the Black Alliance would’ve been destroyed already. It’s a new generation organization, I hope it returns to Huaxia, does legitimate business, follows the right track." Chen Tianlong advised before leaving.
The Red-eyed Eagle nodded. Through years of fighting and killing, she saw through it all. The Black Alliance could walk the righteous path but was restricted by past rules. Now reborn, the Black Alliance should embrace new reforms with a fresh image.
After Chen Tianlong returned to Huaxia, the Red-eyed Eagle ordered to establish the headquarters there, entrusting the task to Lin Xiaoting. Lin Xiaoting took on the task, and immediately returned, bringing Zhao Qing.
Three days later.
The Celestial Pill Sect suffered great losses, three Celestial Dao Great Perfection masters turned into only two left in no time, and Sikong Jingyun was severely injured, requiring half a year in retreat to heal. Therefore, he couldn’t be responsible for trial matters.
Thus, the Black Alliance’s affairs paused, and the Celestial Pill Sect’s urgent matter now was hosting the trial, with about ten days left until August 10th, which Chen Hai turned around in his mind. Their Super Qi Gathering Pill had yet to find a solution.
The materials were ready, but lacking an Innate Pill Furnace, success chances were very slim. They dared not act hastily. After much consideration, Chen Hai decided to personally visit South Sea City.
South Sea City.
Upon returning to South Sea City, Chen Tianlong found his third senior brother, Wu Guangzu, and they returned to the Assassin Group. The group was in shambles, with most original disciples dead or wounded, void of past memories.
"Junior Brother, I think we should abandon the Assassin Group; you’ve already washed your hands clean, and I’m tired too. After Master’s departure, he’s been contemplating dissolving the Assassin Group. Making money doesn’t necessarily mean harming others, does it?" Wu Guangzu suddenly had an epiphany after all this.
"Oh? Third Senior Brother, you also think there’s no need to rebuild the Assassin Group?" Chen Tianlong had considered this; the group focused on killing tasks, and nobody here liked it. If they could sustain without killing, who would prefer it?
"Yes, I have a suggestion: convert the Assassin Group into a leisure mountain resort. Nestled by mountains and water, it makes for tourism, sightseeing, summer vacation leisure; in South Sea City, it could yield considerable income." Wu Guangzu suggested.
"Summer Resort Mountain?" Chen Tianlong pondered, thinking this idea was good but not easy to execute, possibly needing long-term planning.
"Indeed, as for funding, Master left us a fortune, which we can use for rebuilding the Assassin Group. How about it, Xiaowu?" Wu Guangzu shared his thoughts.
"Haha, if our brothers could reform, I certainly agree," Chen Tianlong chuckled and smiled: "Alright, I’ll leave everything here to you, Senior Brother, lead the remaining brothers to create a new world. If you need anything, I’ll always support you."
