Capítulo 1071: Chapter 7: Vika Strikes (Special Episode 07)
With a snap of the fingers.
The mechanical guardians instantly turned their gun barrels toward Kiflomi.
Everyone in the hall was stunned at that moment.
“What’s… happening!?”
Kiflomi’s brown beard twitched, disbelief written in his eyes.
Lin Lu walked over to the short man lying on the ground, squatted down, and patted his face.
“Can we talk properly now?”
This insulting posture instantly made the short man’s face turn red!
Standing nearby, Artificial Person A and the girl, Zero, both smiled while looking at Lin Lu.
This master of both justice and evil evidently needed to vent his inner anger at that moment.
“Who on earth are you people! How can you control my mechanical guardians?”
Kiflomi, after all, was a hero of a certain realm, quickly recovering from shock, and spoke in a low tone.
“You finally give me a glimmer of hope for victory with this act of yours.”
Lin Lu shrugged, snapped his fingers again, and all the mechanical guardians lowered their guns simultaneously.
Seeing the hesitating and suspicious look in the eyes opposite him, Lin Lu smiled and extended his right hand.
“Nice to meet you, my name is Larus, but for confidentiality, you can call me… Lin.”
“As for where I come from, I can tell you very clearly, I can only be your friend, not an enemy.”
Looking at the young man’s handsome face with a kind smile, Kiflomi’s expression changed repeatedly, and finally, he extended his right hand.
“Kiflomi, you should be very aware of my identity, a space miner.”
“Of course, I am aware, which is why I’m here to make a deal with you and your space mining group.”
“What deal?”
“18 million tons of helium-3 and 500 tons of dark matter.”
Lin Lu stated a number that shocked everyone present.
“Are you joking? That’s impossible!”
Kiflomi didn’t even think and immediately rejected the number.
“Why is it impossible?”
“The asteroid mine I operate produces a total of around 1.3 million tons of helium-3 annually, as for dark matter, I don’t have any at all!” Kiflomi stared at Lin Lu, almost thinking this youth was insane.
A glance out of the corner of his eye at the mechanical guardians standing nearby startled him again, realizing what a terrifying presence he was facing.
So he immediately sorted out his language and said, “And even if there was, the cost of such a deal would be astronomical, how would you pay?! How would you transport it!”
Upon hearing this, A and Zero, the two loyal artificial people, still smiled, but others in the hall were secretly eavesdropping.
“Can I get credit first, and as for transportation… how about you help me with it?” Lin Lu curled his lips into a smile.
But as soon as this was said, the atmosphere in the room instantly cooled.
“It seems you plan to get something for nothing, sir.”
Kiflomi’s face no longer had the initial uncertainty; he spread his hands, “To be honest, I don’t know how much longer this base can hold out. You could just kill me and take over, but the Federation’s strike could come at any time. I can only wish you good luck.”
However, around him, others looked at Lin Lu with hostility.
“I think Mr. Kiflomi may have misunderstood, please allow me to speak with you privately.” Lin Lu looked around and said calmly.
“Leader!”
“Don’t listen to his nonsense!”
Several voices instantly sounded trying to stop him.
The burly leader wearing a red headscarf looked around at the guardians, then waved his hand, “It’s fine.”
After speaking, he walked straight back, “Follow me.”
Lin Lu smiled and followed.
Someone wanted to stop him, but those mechanical guardians kept their electronic eyes fixed on them coldly.
Finally, the two figures disappeared from everyone’s sight.
…
The hall fell into a strange silence.
The staff at the base looked vigilant, ready for a life-and-death struggle later if needed.
But after five minutes…
“Hahahaha! Meeting Mr. Lin is truly an honor for me, Kiflomi.”
Deafening laughter came from inside, and the guardians were amazed to see their leader warmly holding the hand of that young man just now.
“From now on, we’ll rely heavily on Mr. Larus.”
Lin Lu calmly accepted the compliment.
“Come over, I have something to announce.” Kiflomi beckoned to his subordinates, motioning for them to come over.
As the base personnel moved inside, the girl Zero quietly sidled up next to Lin Lu and then, pretending to be nonchalant, asked, “What kind of magic did you give him, suddenly he’s so obedient?”
“Just showed him the blueprints of the Heavenly Fire Assault Ship and told him I could help make it.”
“Just that simple?” Zero was shocked, covering her red lips, seemingly in disbelief.
“Just that simple. When the information you hold is real enough, your words naturally carry weight.”
Lin Lu smiled, looking at the calm and handsome face of Artificial Person A, “Prepare a list of materials for setting up a temporary laboratory. Over the next year, we might be living in this star domain.”
“Please provide instructions for the laboratory level.”
“Uh, design according to AA-level specifications, equipment can be initially purchased at an A-level, and upgraded slowly later.”
“Understood.”
While the two were talking, a harsh alarm suddenly sounded.
Far off, where the conversation had just started, Kiflomi’s face was also filled with surprise.
[Alert!]
[Alert!]
“Leader, the Vika Guard Army is heading here! They’ll arrive in 147 minutes, we’ve already lost 5 outposts! 124 brothers… have fallen.”
An information officer rushed in, his face showing undeniable urgency.
“Leader, the heads of the other seven mining zones are contacting you, awaiting your instructions!”
Kiflomi loudly calmed the agitation and panic in the hall, issuing an orderly series of preparations before glancing at Lin Lu.
“Mr. Larus…”
“I’ll go with you.”
Lin Lu nodded, his right hand covering the watch on his left wrist, signaling with his eyes for his two artificial assistants to follow.
…
In space, a fleet of about 30 red starships was rapidly approaching through the starry sky.
These ships, when viewed from an overhead perspective, were arranged into three segments.
Just like an arrow racing forward.
At the very front of the array were six Big Saber Destroyers darting like fish, swiftly approaching the outposts miners set up on asteroids.
Orange interference rays, under the high mobility approach of the Big Saber Destroyers, covered the asteroid with six thick beams of light, instantly burning and melting the miner soldiers at the outposts along with their ships that hadn’t yet started up.
Silent explosions in space blossomed into red lotuses one after another.
Finally, before the fifth outpost was destroyed, a patrolling Miner Reconnaissance Ship noticed this scene and desperately transmitted back the information.
Also at that moment, at Base No. 11, a mixed fleet of various starships finally prepared to take off.
“This time the enemy consists of a Fast Fleet headed by Big Saber Destroyers and Night Hawk Guard Ships; known capabilities include high-speed propulsion and high-damage, high-frequency interference rays. Weapon level is estimated to likely be above generation 3 based on the data!”
Upon hearing his subordinate’s report, Kiflomi’s face turned grim, frowning in deep thought.
“It’s obvious the opponent relies on high mobility for close-range engagement, we are at a huge disadvantage.”
Around Kiflomi, some crew members also had grave expressions.
Lin Lu quietly watched the optical screen, suddenly speaking, “Give me the authority to load dock equipment.”
