Chapter 1070: Can’t Be Reckless
She was curious to hear what Nangong Jin would say.
If he could seriously discuss it with his parents, especially in front of her own parents, it must be something serious and genuine, certainly not just for play.
Nangong Jin smiled, organized his thoughts, and then spoke directly, "What I want to tell you both is that I’m currently pursuing Xuanxuan. Although she hasn’t accepted yet, I don’t mind continuing to pursue her until she agrees.
Even though this is a personal emotional matter, Xuanxuan is your daughter, and I think you should have the right to know, um, it’s the least respect I owe you.
All I hope is that you don’t oppose me, I will seriously and diligently pursue her, and if I can’t win her over, it’s a reflection of my own lack of ability. I know, Xuanxuan is quite young, and I, well, am a bit older, but being older means I can take better care of her, be more accommodating to her."
Perhaps because he had drunk a bit too much, Nangong Jin was rather talkative, but his words were sincere—at least it was clear that he was serious.
After finishing, he looked towards Di Yan and Fang Hao, his smile somewhat sheepish, "That’s what I wanted to discuss with you both."
After listening, Di Yan and Fang Hao’s first impression was that this kid was quite considerate.
He was reasonable and respectful—it was indeed very good.
Originally, Fang Hao was somewhat displeased with Nangong Jin for being secretive and unwilling to acknowledge things in front of the elders, but this direct admission turned out to be quite refreshing.
Fang Hao felt somewhat embarrassed and after thinking it over, said, "This is a matter for you young people, and we older generation shouldn’t interfere too much, as long as you are happy. Whether or not you can be together is your own fate, so Di Yan and I have nothing to oppose."
After speaking, Fang Hao looked towards Di Yan, "Right?"
Di Yan nodded, his expression growing more serious, "Yes, there are just two conditions I have, but they’re not urgent, we can discuss them once you succeed in your pursuit. However, one condition I must state now is, cough, no fooling around."
Nangong Jin blinked, not quite understanding what no fooling around meant.
It wasn’t until Di Yan gave him a knowing look that he realized.
He immediately felt it was rather awkward.
But he still nodded, "Yes, I understand."
Cough cough, whether or not there’s fooling around, Di Yan and Fang Hao wouldn’t really know.
As long as Di Jinxuan agrees, then it wouldn’t be called fooling around.
Yet Nangong Jin was not in any hurry, for he cherished this wonderful feeling.
To guard a girl untouched by the world, with not a speck of dust in her heart, would he care about when she gives herself to him?
He was willing to treasure this special bond, so in fact, even without the Di Family needing to say it, he was willing to wait until their wedding night to experience that beauty together, beginning a new, beautiful, and shy Chapter of life.
Surely that experience would surpass all others.
In fact, if he were to win Di Jinxuan’s heart, he would be the luckiest and most pure love in this entire situation.
Because both he and Di Jinxuan were each other’s first love.
Naturally, Di Yan and Fang Hao were delighted with Nangong Jin’s response; Fang Hao, in particular, was thrilled—my goodness, she was about to gain a son-in-law.
Moreover, he was so considerate, and both families were familiar with each other and were aristocratic families; naturally, the closer the bond, the less she would have to worry about her daughter’s future mother-in-law relationship.
Instead, she might have to worry about Li Hui spoiling Di Jinxuan rotten, as Li Hui was such a formidable woman.
Li Hui and Nangong Tiancheng of course were also overjoyed—my goodness, their son had finally experienced the awakening of love and was taking something seriously, and a daughter-in-law might soon be a part of the family, which was undoubtedly a happy event.
