Chapter 1064: Need a Kiss to Get Up
Who else could it be but Di Jinxuan? He shamelessly clung to her all day today, it was clear to anyone who wasn’t blind how good and passionate he was toward Di Jinxuan. He behaved exactly like a young lad experiencing the first throes of love.
In fact, Nangong Jin wasn’t a rascal at all. At least she’d never seen him being such a scalawag before.
But when it came to Di Jinxuan, he truly took rascality to the extreme, stopping at nothing.
Calling her "wife" so often that outsiders blushed, Di Jinxuan was dismissive, but he seemed even more invigorated by that, utterly shameless.
He didn’t care about face at all. There were many people there today, and they all were on the same social level.
Nangong Jin didn’t even care about his image anymore—if that wasn’t love, what was?
Feng Rao honestly hadn’t expected Nangong Jin’s pursuit to be for Di Jinxuan.
To be honest, the fifth young lady of the Di Family really did inspire affection, and her family background was impressive. Yet it seemed she barely gave Nangong Jin a second glance, it was always him shamelessly sticking to her, and she appeared utterly uninterested.
Feng Rao had never seen Nangong Jin behave this way with any girl. It was always the girls who shamelessly threw themselves at him. Now, the roles were reversed; he was the one shamelessly pursuing, and the object of his affection seemed utterly disinterested.
Feng Rao really wanted to ask, "Master, is it worth it?"
But in the end, she didn’t ask.
Whether it was worth it or not, probably only Nangong Jin knew best.
After giving it some thought, Feng Rao stood up, bowed slightly to Nangong Jin who had his eyes closed, and said respectfully, "Master, I’ll be leaving first."
Nangong Jin opened his eyes but didn’t speak. He just raised his slender fingers and moved them like playing a piano, a gesture for goodbye.
Feng Rao’s eyes were gloomy. She turned and spoke to Li Hui and Nangong Tiancheng, "Lord Tiancheng, Madam Hui, I’ll be leaving first."
Li Hui raised an eyebrow, "Have you had dinner?"
"Not very hungry," Feng Rao smiled. "I ate a lot earlier."
"Okay," Li Hui nodded and said no more.
Feng Rao respectfully bowed her head, and Li Hui turned back to continue chatting and laughing with Fang Hao.
As Feng Rao left, her heart ached. The attitude Li Hui had towards her really was as though she was someone who didn’t matter much.
Feng Rao was very sad.
No one here understood Feng Rao’s thoughts. They all ate with gusto. Gu Qibao couldn’t help teasing Di Jinxuan, "Xuanxuan, your husband over there is lying like a corpse, half-dead. Aren’t you going to show some concern?"
Di Jinxuan’s face turned red, "Sister-in-law, don’t talk nonsense!"
Whose husband? Since when was he her husband?
Even as she said this, Di Jinxuan couldn’t help but sneak a glance in that direction, where Nangong Jin was sitting on the sofa, looking a bit lazy as he half-reclined, his long legs beautifully crossed. His alluring, peachy eyelids were slightly narrowed like a noble, nonchalant, yet dignified Persian cat.
A thin cigarette swirled at his fingertips, adding a touch of roguishness.
He seemed to have had quite a bit to drink, Di Jinxuan frowned. But his tolerance for alcohol was renowned, supposedly unbeatable in the circles.
Even though she thought this, why was there a little bit of heartache? She was actually feeling sorry for Nangong Jin—what the hell?
Was she actually upset on behalf of Nangong Jin? Could that be a mistake?
Next to her, Nangong Xiao’s child-like voice said, "My little Gege is drunk, he needs a kiss to wake up. Xuanxuan, Fairy, you should quickly give my little Gege a kiss. Otherwise, what if he can’t wake up?"
Nangong Xiao’s childish words elicited laughter from everyone.
Gu Qibao teased, "Xiaoxiao, you really know a lot."
Nangong Xiao said with pride, "Of course, if the school heartthrob doesn’t take my hand after I fall, I just won’t get up."
