Chapter 1062: He Wants to Find an Opportunity to Pretend to be Drunk!
Everyone nodded in agreement, indeed feeling hungry.
Nangong Jin felt particularly aggrieved at this moment. While everyone hadn’t eaten yet, he had already filled himself up with liquor and had no room for food.
Feeling slightly dizzy, Nangong Jin shamelessly leaned on Di Jinxuan’s shoulder, "Wifey, I’m drunk."
He really had drunk a substantial amount, which made Di Jinxuan somewhat worried too.
His wound on the waist hadn’t yet healed, and she wondered if drinking so much was truly wise!
Would this mean that his waist injury might take even longer to heal?
What about the promise to teach her to dance?
Di Jinxuan held her forehead, unable to help scolding, "Serves you right, who told you to drink with an injury?"
And to drink so recklessly, at that.
Feeling wronged, Nangong Jin actually just wanted to pretend to be drunk, but truly, he was unlucky to have ingested such an excessive amount.
As Nangong Jin was scolded, everyone else was amused by the spectacle, but he wasn’t angry. He playfully said, "Wifey!"
Di Jinxuan: "..."
"Time to eat, time to eat," Mingchen stood up, uninterested in attending to the whining and coquettish Nangong Jin.
In fact, everyone knew it was time to leave the couple alone, so they all left to eat. They were so hungry and definitely planned to eat extra this time.
While everyone left, Nangong Jin still clung to Di Jinxuan’s shoulder, refusing to get up.
Di Jinxuan pushed him, "Hey, stop faking it. Time to get up and eat, I’m starving."
After all that commotion, her stomach was truly growling with hunger.
"Husband is drunk," Nangong Jin looked at her as he stood up.
His handsome face, unable to hide its stunning beauty, became even more enchanting with the drunken fuzziness in his eyes. The naturally charming peach blossom eyes seemed even more captivating, like a deep vortex capable of sucking one in without care.
The cheeks on his pale face were also somewhat flushed, looking attractively inviting. His lips, as beguiling as ever, were a vibrant red as if coated with lipstick, but far from being off-putting, they held an arresting beauty.
Di Jinxuan averted her gaze silently, "But I’m hungry."
Seeing Di Jinxuan’s petty appearance suddenly made Nangong Jin feel a pang of heartache mixed with love. Yet, he slyly smiled and said, "I can’t eat anything; I just drank a lot. You go ahead and eat. I’ll take a nap here."
With no other choice, Di Jinxuan nodded, "Alright then, I’ll go eat first."
"Go ahead, go ahead." Nangong Jin waved his hand, unconsciously sticking out his tongue to lick his lips—it was a gesture that seemed straight out of a thousand-year-old soul-enticing fox spirit.
Rakish, unrestrained, soul-stirring.
Di Jinxuan felt a tingle on her scalp and immediately stood up and ran off. Nangong Jin’s eyes followed her bouncy little figure, his eyebrows rising in amusement.
Cough cough, the thing is this.
He had seen Di Xiaxia’s social media update about someone getting drunk...
And he couldn’t resist the urge to try it himself. What happens when one gets drunk?
Is it true that a drunk person can speak without consequence, act without responsibility, shamelessly take advantage, and seize the opportunity to make a move without any issues, right?
So he contemplated finding an opportunity to feign drunkenness.
He wouldn’t mind playing drunk if there were perks involved.
However, his tolerance was notoriously high, and everyone in his circle knew this, so pretending to be drunk was far from easy.
He couldn’t very well have three or five drinks and then exclaim, "Oh, I’m drunk," as that would be far too unconvincing.
To avoid making his aim too obvious, he had no choice but to discuss it with Alvin in the lounge beforehand.
He asked Alvin to engage in a drinking contest with him. Alvin being a visitor from afar, and the two of them not having seen each other for many years, this excuse was the best one available.
