Chapter 1193 - 690: Legendary Clash in Lonely Mountain City
Lonely Mountain City, Iron Hammer Workshop,
Lis ignored the two old dwarves whispering beside him, fully immersing himself in the forging and smelting before him.
In fact, these past few days, under Tomun’s arrangement, he followed several Dwarf Forging Masters at the Iron Hammer Workshop to learn.
Basically, the Forging Masters at Iron Hammer Workshop are all elderly dwarves.
It’s not that the Dwarf Clan doesn’t have younger Forging Masters, it’s simply because Iron Hammer Workshop is somewhat special.
In fact, every few years, a new Forging Master emerges at Iron Hammer Workshop.
But under the arrangements of the Dwarf Royal Court, Iron Hammer Workshop prioritizes the development of the entire Dwarf Clan over its own interests.
Therefore, Iron Hammer Workshop does not restrict those forging masters for profit.
As long as the forging masters are willing, they can leave Iron Hammer Workshop without any cost to establish their own exclusive forging workshops.
This is also why many people are curious why Lis, so young, achieved the title of Forging Master but chose to join Iron Hammer Workshop.
Although this makes Iron Hammer Workshop appear like a school for training Forging Masters, it indeed provides considerable support for the development of the entire Dwarf Clan’s forging techniques.
Moreover, it also inspires more and more dwarves to aspire to join Iron Hammer Workshop, making it one of the most desired places for forging prodigies in the Dwarf Kingdom.
In Iron Hammer Workshop, what is most respected is not status, but the strength of forging skills.
This is the tradition cultivated by Iron Hammer Workshop over countless years.
Similarly, any Dwarf Clan Forging Master can join Iron Hammer Workshop and receive quite generous treatment.
This has also made Iron Hammer Workshop become a "retirement home" for the Dwarf Clan’s Forging Masters.
The reason these forging masters join Iron Hammer Workshop is not only to make remaining contributions to the Dwarf Kingdom by utilizing their residual heat but also to nurture the younger generation.
Therefore, Lis’s appearance indeed brought considerable surprise to these forging masters at Iron Hammer Workshop.
Under Tomun’s arrangement, these Dwarf Masters are quite willing to guide Lis.
Several even expressed their willingness to teach Lis all their life’s work, as long as he can inherit it.
Thus, those Forging Masters at Iron Hammer Workshop, despite their old age, are indeed a huge asset for Lis.
The masters’ unique skills and knowledge also allowed Lis to benefit greatly, absorbing the wisdom of the Dwarf Masters like a sponge.
In the process, Lis also continuously corrected the issues in himself.
In a sense, Lis was a "wild route" trained Forging Master, lacking a lot of understanding in many aspects.
However, this did not cause Tomun and the others to doubt him; rather, they thought it was natural.
Wasn’t it normal for someone so young to have deficiencies as a Forging Master?
Moreover, Lis had not truly followed any teacher for systematic learning before, which actually increased those forging masters’ desire to guide him.
Therefore, these days, Lis has been extremely busy, eagerly learning the forging techniques of various forging masters.
This opportunity is indeed rare, an unexpected joy brought about by Lis’s fortuitous circumstances.
Such opportunities will be very difficult to come by again in the future.
So, Lis is very understanding of Tomun and those forging masters’ intentions and holds great respect for them.
After all, it’s as if he’s "borrowing" the untransmitted secrets of the Dwarf Clan; being a bit courteous and calling them teachers a few times is appropriate.
Just unsure if, upon discovering the truth, these dwarf teachers would regret entrusting him.
When one’s mind is fully immersed in something, time tends to pass quickly.
Once confirmed Lis had grasped everything well, Tomun left with that old dwarf.
According to them, they were headed to the tavern for a decent drink.
Initially, they wanted to bring Lis along, but he declined using fatigue as an excuse.
Tomun did not force Lis, knowing what kind of life Lis had been leading these days and the efforts he had put in.
Thus, the two old dwarves left shoulder to shoulder.
Lis tidied up briefly, turned down Nidir’s invitation for a date, and returned directly to his residence in the workshop.
After returning to his place, Lis quickly washed up and lay directly on the bed to sleep.
When night was well advanced, Lis opened his eyes.
Like when he explored the Heart of Molten Fire earlier, Lis left a lifelike avatar on the bed before quietly leaving the room.
This time, he wasn’t going to explore the Heart of Molten Fire again.
The previous experience was really thrilling; at least Lis wasn’t ready to face that Dwarf Demigod now.
He left Iron Hammer Workshop, intending to flesh out a general understanding of Lonely Mountain City.
Unlike his previous trip to the Elf Forest, Lis was not very familiar with Lonely Mountain City.
And he also intended to see if the Dwarf Royal Court and Dwarf Temple were still as before, searching for that Legendary Day Elf who actually did not exist.
In fact, the defenses at Iron Hammer Workshop had become much stricter than before.
Apart from special dwarf guards, multiple warning and protective magic arrays enveloped Iron Hammer Workshop.
Lis had tested them; these protective arrays were of Legendary level.
Presumably, they were to prevent another intrusion by the "Legendary Day Elf."
