Chapter 1192 - 689: The War God Church’s Purpose (Part 2)
However, this legend has never been confirmed because only the Dwarves are allowed to enter there.
Kelleb was once curious about the "Heart of Molten Fire" as well, but knowing that the Dwarf Royal Court and the temple would never allow him entry, he did not mention it to Richie.
"If that’s the case, no wonder you all are so nervous."
"But after all, we’re dealing with a Legendary Crown, and it’s quite possible he has already left Lonely Mountain City after such a long time."
Despite his surprise, Kelleb had no intention of comforting his friend.
"I know, but His Majesty is so angry, we can’t just do nothing, right?"
Richie said somewhat dejectedly.
In fact, the ministers of the Dwarf Royal Court were well aware that the chances of finding this Legendary Day Elf were almost nonexistent.
But not finding is different from not searching.
He did not want to bear the brunt of the Dwarf King’s wrath alone.
"Can we continue discussing the matter I came for this time?"
Kelleb suddenly remembered his purpose for coming to Lonely Mountain City and quickly asked Richie.
"About that matter..."
Richie thought for a moment, hesitating, and said:
"Regarding that piece of ’Phillips Crystal’ in the Jianuo Mountain Range, in fact, we’re not really that interested."
"Why is that, weren’t we getting along well earlier?"
Kelleb was somewhat surprised and continued to ask.
"Previously, His Majesty was not very familiar with these matters, so we had to discuss it ourselves."
"But it’s a fact that instead of exploring those small worlds, we prefer buying the gains from the adventurers."
"Although the costs will be much higher, we don’t lack money."
"Whether it’s exploring small worlds or managing that piece of ’Phillips Crystal’, many ministers are not very interested."
Richie shook his head and said honestly.
Since Kelleb represented the War God Church and came specifically to Lonely Mountain City, many things did not need to be hidden from him.
Listening to Richie, Kelleb frowned, feeling a bit of a headache.
In fact, that drop site of the ’Phillips Crystal’ in the Jianuo Mountain Range is one of only three such places on the Fanor Continent, and it is the most chaotic among them.
The other two places, one managed by the World Tree Favored Lis Kain outside Danerluo Port, has the best order.
As far as Kelleb knew, that World Tree Favored under the crown had established a relatively complete order by collaborating with the Churches of the Gods, especially the Dawn Church, allowing various forces to follow his rules to explore the small world.
The other is at the edge of the Elf Forest and the Southern Human Kingdom, where the Elf Kingdom seems to be prepared as well, allowing human kingdom adventurers to explore the small world through a passage there to a limited extent.
There are conflicts between them, but they are all controlled within a relatively reasonable range.
But the Phillips Crystal drop site in the Jianuo Mountain Range is different.
It has completely fallen into a lawless zone.
After the news spread that the ’Phillips Crystal’ could lead to small worlds and endless wealth could be obtained, a considerable number of adventurers flocked to the ’Phillips Crystal’.
Among them were all sorts of people.
Compared to exploring small worlds painstakingly, it was much quicker and more convenient to directly rob others.
And the Dwarf Kingdom, as the landowner, turned a blind eye to this.
As long as no one provokes them, it doesn’t matter from whom they purchase extraordinary materials.
The Dwarves are not very keen on exploring small worlds, and the majority of those adventurers are humans.
This situation has caused the order around the ’Phillips Crystal’ in the Jianuo Mountain Range to become increasingly chaotic, and the impact has even spread out, affecting the western Endless Desert.
The War God Church cannot control the Jianuo Mountain Range, but the Endless Desert is the domain of the War God Church.
Originally, not many people lived in the desert, and now with such disturbances, it has become quite troublesome for the War God Church.
Therefore, the War God Church decided to have Kelleb come to Lonely Mountain City to negotiate with the Dwarf Royal Court,
But now, Kelleb suddenly felt that his visit might end up in vain; how could he accept that?
"Is there really no room for negotiation?"
Kelleb looked at the Dwarf Richie, asking somewhat in distress.
"...Let’s head back to Lonely Mountain City first, and I’ll ask about it for you afterwards."
Richie also felt a bit embarrassed, as he might have caused his friend to make a pointless trip.
"Can I have an audience with His Majesty the Dwarf King Preston?"
Kelleb followed up with a question.
If there was any chance, he still wanted to try to fight for it.
To be honest, the War God Church is not very concerned about the interests of controlling the ’Phillips Crystal’ location.
No one dares to provoke the War God Church’s exploration team.
But without the support of the Dwarf Kingdom, the War God Church would have difficulty maintaining order there.
Moreover, according to the War God Church’s investigation, that ’Phillips Crystal’ has already become a gathering place for many Evil God believers.
Compared to the other two places, here is simply devoid of any danger.
And the atmosphere there is more suitable for the activities of the Evil God believers.
Truly allowing the Evil God believers of the Fanor Continent to gather there, Kelleb didn’t care about the Dwarf Kingdom’s situation.
But surely, it would be quite troublesome for the War God Church.
By that time, it wouldn’t be something that the Dwarf Kingdom and the War God Church could prevent together.
These concerns were also taken into consideration by the War God Church, but how much impact could the always reclusive Dwarf Kingdom have was unclear.
Kelleb sighed, following Richie into Lonely Mountain City.
...
In the Iron Hammer Workshop,
In the forging room filled with scorching heat, a massive forging furnace burned fiercely, inhaling and exhaling intense flames at will.
The fire within the furnace was a strange gold-red color, different from the usual orange-red flame; it was the distinct color of flames infused with magic power.
Every leap of the flames seemed to carry a mysterious power, distorting the surrounding air into a blur, continuously removing impurities from the molten metals in the furnace.
The heat emanating from the forging furnace was like a surging tide, nearly transforming the entire room into a scorching kiln.
The walls were baked to a stark red, with dark seams between the stones occasionally letting out wisps of hot vapor, as if the room itself was panting in pain.
In this scorching room, Lis stood before the forging furnace.
Now, he was short yet incredibly robust, with muscles coiling around his body like twisted steel cables, each possessing explosive strength.
His skin was reddened by the furnace fire, and sweat streamed down his sharply contoured chest like broken pearls.
As soon as the sweat hit the floor, it rapidly evaporated in the sweltering environment, turning into faint wisps of vapor, disappearing without a trace.
However, Lis was completely oblivious to the scorching torment and the flow of sweat.
His eyes were fixed on the magic metal being smelted in the furnace, his expression of concentration suggesting that nothing else in the world mattered at this moment, only the metal in the furnace was his entire focus.
Lis knew very well that smelting magic metal was an extremely critical step in forging.
If there were any mistakes, the valuable magic metal could be rendered useless, turning into worthless scrap.
Only through smelting at such extremely high temperatures could Mithril, Refined Gold, Red Copper, and other precious magic metals fully integrate and achieve the best effect.
Each magic metal requires different smelting temperatures, and when smelting multiple magic metals simultaneously, the temperature and smelting technique requirements become even stricter.
Every forging master has their unique method for smelting metals.
And now, behind Lis, two forging masters were guiding him.
Dwarf Forging Master Jeffries marveled as he watched Lis, smiling quietly and saying:
"He’s truly my disciple, such high talent."
"He’s grasped my Flaming Gold Melting Technique so quickly!"
And beside him, Tomun, wanting to retort to Jeffries, remembered Patterson’s advice and could only hold back.
Just wait!
In the end, only my name will be remembered by Lis!
