Chapter 1181 - 684: Legendary Longsword [Red Flame Dragon Spine]
Iron Hammer Workshop,
When Lis was forging large items, Tomun stayed by Lis’s side.
This time, Tomun, who had been offering guidance, remained silent, closely watching Lis’s actions.
Unlike before, this forging process went smoothly for Lis, even Tomun couldn’t find any faults or issues.
This indicated that Lis’s feeling for the craft was quite good this time, making success a real possibility!
And when Lis truly succeeded and picked up that Fire Attribute Legendary Long Sword, Tomun shook his head, full of emotion.
This lad, he actually succeeded!
It’s not easy!
Tomun stroked his beard, feeling somewhat pleased.
Although he had confidence in Lis’s abilities, he only truly relaxed after seeing him successfully forge a piece of legendary equipment in person.
Such capability actually exists!
You must know, how old is Ris now!
Having such abilities now, could he really become a Master Forger in the future?
A Forging Master can succeed in crafting legendary-level weapons and equipment, but above that, Half-God Artifacts and even Divine Artifacts can only be attempted by a Master Forger.
Unlike other races, the Dwarf Clan has been immersed in forging for countless years, and the related records are certainly the most thorough.
Most believe that Divine Artifacts can only be crafted by divine beings, and at least demigods can craft Half-God Artifacts.
This statement has some basis but is not entirely accurate.
If this were true, any divine being would be able to craft a Divine Artifact.
But in reality, the number of Divine Artifacts is not large,
many weak divine beings have only one Divine Artifact.
Because not all weapons and equipment possessing divine power are called Divine Artifacts.
If divine beings want to forcefully create a Divine Artifact without any foundation, they can only forcefully divide their own authority to condense it.
And doing so would undoubtedly diminish the divine being’s own strength.
This is a difficult decision for divine beings.
Even if they succeed in owning a Divine Artifact, whether it’s worth it is hard to say.
For those weak divine beings, giving away too much power and authority might even cause them to fall from their Divine Throne.
So, most Divine Artifacts owned by divine beings are created by first crafting embryo artifacts, then nurturing them with the power of their own authority through divine power over a long period.
In this way, the cost for divine beings to create Divine Artifacts is much lower.
And more acceptable to the divine beings.
For divine beings, infinite life provides them ample time to study and learn forging to craft Divine Artifacts.
Of course, for those divine beings who have no way to learn forging, they can only use the first method to create Divine Artifacts.
Therefore, this also provides an opportunity for those below divine beings to create Half-God Artifacts or even Divine Artifacts.
A craftsman with exceptional skills can completely rely on their own strength to reach the level of divine beings in this aspect.
A Master Forger can successfully craft embryo artifacts and then have divine beings enlighten these artifacts to become Half-God Artifacts or Divine Artifacts.
However, perhaps other races’ Master Forgers might have succeeded in creating Half-God Artifacts.
But Divine Artifacts, historically, only the Dwarf Clan has successfully forged two.
They are the Divine Artifacts successfully forged by gathering the power of the entire Dwarf clan: the Storm Hammer and Storm Armor.
Now these two Divine Artifacts belong to the Dwarf Main God Moradin.
Therefore, within the Dwarf Clan, becoming a Master Forger and forging Half-God Artifacts or even Divine Artifacts has always been the highest ideal!
However, for most dwarves who love forging, it’s just a legend.
But now, Tomun has truly seen the possibility of realization in Ris.
Over the past few days, Tomun learned that Ris is only 50 years old!
He’s just a young lad who barely reached adulthood!
With such abilities, is he the illegitimate son of the God of Forging, Sarmekhal?
Thinking of this, Tomun’s mood became even more excited.
Perhaps he is already old, just waiting to ascend to Moradin’s Divine Country, but if he can witness the pinnacle of the forging path in Ris, it would be the greatest happiness for Tomun.
Thinking of this, Tomun nodded with satisfaction, stepped forward to Lis’s side.
"This is your forged Long Sword, indeed remarkable."
"What name have you planned for this sword?"
Tomun looked at Lis, and asked with a smile.
For a craftsman, successfully forging an outstanding work entitles them to name it.
Lis heard this, nodded slightly, then gazed at the treasure sword before him.
This Legendary Long Sword gave him a very good feeling, and the handfeel during the forging process was also quite good.
This should be his most exceptional creation yet.
Lis pondered for a moment, nodded and said:
"Let’s call it ’Red Flame Dragon Spine’!"
Feeling the residual warmth from the blade and the slightly reddish hue of the edge, Lis named the Legendary Long Sword.
The main material for this Legendary Long Sword was the legendary red dragon’s Dragon Bone brought by Tomun, which is an extremely precious material.
Of course, successfully forging this sword relies more on Lis’s exquisite skills.
Lis could already feel his forging skills had improved a bit.
After speaking, Lis handed the Long Sword in his hand to Tomun beside him.
Over the past few days, the materials Lis used to forge weapons were all provided by Tomun.
And noticing Tomun’s inexplicable look, Lis could certainly guess what this old dwarf was thinking.
