Chapter 1153 - 670: Mutation
Looking at the approaching enemies in the distance, the players from the Huaxia District all had serious expressions.
They knew this was the final showdown, and if they could win, they would achieve ultimate victory.
If they couldn’t occupy Rad Island this time, they wouldn’t have enough time to gather so many ships again.
"Boom!"
With the sound of a cannon, the massive fleet of over two hundred ships, formed by a coalition of foreign players, began to move slowly, charging towards Rad Island.
Han Xing, Zhao Zhao, and the others also had grave expressions, immediately leading their warships to meet the enemy.
With this number, no matter how quickly they could destroy with their dozen or so warships, it was impossible to completely block them outside Rad Island.
All they could do was try to eliminate as many enemy players as possible in the naval battle to buy time for their teammates on the island.
With a command, the players on the warships swiftly took action.
The fuse was lit, and instantly the sea seemed to be ignited by Hellfire. The deafening roar of cannon fire erupted continuously, with blazing fireballs tearing through the sky, pouring towards the sea area where the coalition was located with a momentum to destroy everything.
Zhao Zhao and the others, regardless of ammunition consumption, poured out all reserves.
Explosions followed one after another, and the sea was blasted into huge waves.
Water columns shot into the sky, then fell heavily, splashing countless crystalline water droplets, refracting a rainbow of colors in the sunlight, yet failing to conceal the pervasive smell of gunpowder and sulfur in the air.
Faced with the terrifying artillery fire, the advancing fleet of the coalition felt as if they were in an inferno of raging flames.
They couldn’t find any effective shelter, and could only rely on the number of their fleet, gritting their teeth to withstand the torrential downpour of gunfire as they pressed forward.
The first wave of cannon fire felt like thunder from heaven, with the deafening explosions and searing flames instantly tearing apart the calm of the sea.
The larger ships became easy targets for enemy cannonballs at this moment, and several large ships, under the ravage of the artillery, were hit as if torn apart by a giant hand, with hulls breaking and wooden planks flying.
Small boats, like fragile leaves, bobbed and swayed in the massive waves stirred by the bombardment.
Waves rose like mountains, carrying the residual power of the artillery, repeatedly crashing against the small boats.
The small boats teetered under the battering of the giant waves, seemingly ready to be torn to pieces at any moment.
The players on the boats gripped the rudder tightly, their faces pale as paper, unable to hide the fear and despair in their eyes.
Though not afraid of Death, the scene was too real and terrifying.
Their bodies swayed with the rocking of the small boats, with each roar of the cannonfire causing their hearts to race, and each impact of the waves keeping their Life hanging by a thread.
Curses and screams of terror intertwined, forming a symphony of Death.
"There’s too much cannon fire from the other side. Should we retreat for a bit, change direction, and then advance again?"
[Barbarians] team commander Napoleon X said hesitantly, his face a bit pale.
"No way!"
[Heavenly Sword] commander Peanutton slapped the table, his face somewhat grim as he said:
"I don’t believe these Huaxia people have that many cannons. At this point, we absolutely can’t retreat."
"As long as we reach Rad Island, their warships will be useless."
"Moreover, we still have backup plans and opportunities."
"Let’s hold on a bit longer!"
[Heroic Spirit Hall] team captain Odin nodded in support of Peanutton’s decision.
Indeed, things went as they thought; shortly after, the warships from the Huaxia District ceased their bombardment.
Seeing this, everyone quickly organized to continue their Charge.
In fact, Zhao Zhao and the others still had some cannonballs left, but these were reserved for emergencies at the final critical moment.
They commanded the warships to spread out and accelerate towards the enemy.
The warships, like an enraged beast, charged fearlessly with overwhelming battle spirit towards the enemy fleet.
A dozen or so warships charged into the remainder of the enemy fleet of over a hundred ships with unstoppable force.
In that moment, it seemed as though an unprecedented Storm was unleashed on the sea, with continuous collisions and roaring sounds resounding through the skies.
The enemy’s ships appeared fragile and feeble in front of the specially reinforced strong warships, having no ability to resist.
The ramming bows of the warships, meticulously designed and reinforced, shattered the enemy ships in front like a sharp Sword.
Each collision was accompanied by the sound of enemy ship planks shattering and the screams of enemies, sending countless splashes and debris into the sea.
The allied warships ripped through the enemy fleet like wolves among sheep, unstoppable and indomitable.
They maneuvered nimbly through the enemy fleet, as if entering an unoccupied zone.
The enemy ships, under the fierce assault of the allied warships, sank one after another, leaving a trail of wreckage and driftwood on the sea surface.
Of course, faced with such results, Zhao Zhao and the others remained vigilant.
They didn’t slow down at all in killing those enemy players struggling in the sea.
If the warships’ speed slowed, they would easily be surrounded by the enemy.
In such a situation, the enemy could easily overwhelm them with sheer numbers.
Therefore, Zhao Zhao and Han Xing split up to assault the enemy fleet, focusing more on the smaller ships to eliminate as much of the enemy’s living Strength as possible.
Just as Zhao Zhao and the others maneuvered the warships through the enemy fleet, an unexpected twist occurred.
