Chapter 1148 - 667: Cooperation with the Church of the Ocean Goddess (Part 2)
After all, this is a cost-free venture, definitely worth it for Lis.
If he can truly unite the Fishman Tribe of the Blue Sea Mini World with the Treasure Pearl Merfolk Tribe, the power of faith Lis could obtain would undoubtedly be greater.
It’s an entirely untouched land!
Of course, Lis can’t do this sort of thing by leading the Pearl Tribe alone.
Even if he can defeat the Fishman Legend in the Blue Sea World, that doesn’t mean he can consume all of the Fishman Tribe’s faith.
This already falls into the category of vying for faith and believers; even if Lis can handle it, it would be too conspicuous.
Gaining more benefits discreetly is what Lis intends to do.
Hence, Lis plans to involve the legendary priest O’Neill from the Treasure Pearl Merfolk Tribe and the Church of the Ocean Goddess.
Originally, the Church of the Ocean Goddess already occupied most of the Fishman Clan’s faith and was most enthusiastic about expanding Fishman followers.
However, since the Blue Sea Mini World has just opened, they aren’t yet aware of the situation inside the world.
In this case, if Lis delivers this intelligence to O’Neill and the bishop of the Ocean Goddess Church, he will undoubtedly gain an advantage.
Moreover, once O’Neill and the others intervene first, they will undoubtedly establish their proactive position.
Even if others from the Church of the Ocean Goddess want to intervene, the richest spoils will still belong to Lis and O’Neill.
Of course, the most important thing is to bring the Church of the Ocean Goddess into the open to prevent other churches from becoming envious.
After all, with more and more small worlds opening through the Phillips Crystal, there are truly too many places for all the gods’ churches to cultivate followers.
In the short term, it’s not worth it for the churches of all gods to start conflicts over the scramble for followers.
As for Lis, he can take advantage of the situation as much as possible.
At that time, Lis might even indirectly influence the direction of the world server war through the Fishman Tribe of the Blue Sea Mini World.
This is simply killing multiple birds with one stone!
Lis planned in his heart and soon arrived before the Coral Fishman Tribe.
...
In the blue shallow sea stands a mysterious and majestic Church of the Ocean Goddess, like a radiant pearl in the underwater world, exuding a soft and enigmatic light.
Sunlight gently strews from the sea surface, penetrating the layer of crystal-clear water and unfurling slowly upon the light-blue dome of the church.
The play of lights and shadows weaves and twists in the sea, creating wavy paintings, mottled and surreal. Every beam of light seems like the gentle fingertips of the Ocean Goddess, tenderly caressing every inch of the church, draping this undersea temple in a translucent and mystical light film.
This light film not only isolates the external hustle and bustle but also makes the church’s interior appear both clear and vague, filled with a sense of holy detachment from the mundane world.
In front of the church stands an extraordinary and heroic statue of the Ocean Goddess, seemingly the guardian of this sea, standing unwaveringly with an intrepid posture. The goddess exudes an upright and powerful aura, her face solemn and profound, eyes glowing with wisdom and courage, seemingly able to perceive every secret of the underwater world.
She holds a long spear, which gleams with a chilling light in the sunlight, its tip pointing straight to the sky, revealing an unassailable majesty and aura.
Surrounding the church are groups of colorful sea fish.
They are as red as flames or as blue as the deep sea, vibrant and colorful, intermingling brilliantly. They move freely around the church, sometimes gathering in schools, other times swimming individually, adding a touch of vitality and vigor to the silent church, making it a unique sanctuary of harmony and peace in the ocean.
At this time, within the church,
O’Neill looked at Lis and said somewhat unexpectedly:
"You’re saying there are Fishman Clans existing in that newly opened small world?"
"Of course."
Lis nodded, his gaze shifting to Ashton, the bishop of the Ocean Goddess Church nearby.
This bishop was a dark-skinned, rough-textured male, dressed in a simple gray robe, seeming somewhat out of place with the church, more like an ordinary fisherman.
The bishop previously in charge of the Ocean Goddess Church had been recalled and punished after offending Lis once he achieved legend status.
Ashton, standing here, was the newly appointed bishop who visited Lis during the celebration of his legendary feat, representing the Ocean Goddess Church and bestowing generous gifts.
Currently, Ashton was patiently listening to his conversation with O’Neill.
Even though he was the bishop of the Ocean Goddess Church, he had to give these two Fishman Legends sufficient respect.
Moreover, he was quite interested in the intelligence Lis brought.
He was well aware of the channels to Phillips Crystal’s opened small worlds, and had dispatched the Ocean Goddess Church’s personnel for exploration, yielding substantial harvests.
Yet, even he hadn’t received any information about the Blue Sea Mini World, so how could Klaus be so well-informed?
Ashton was somewhat curious, but he didn’t inquire actively.
The Klaus before him was no simple character; according to his knowledge, O’Neill had suffered quite a severe defeat in battle against him.
This indicated quite a lot.
Ashton didn’t want to provoke his displeasure by probing into the opponent’s secret.
"You needn’t worry about the authenticity of my intelligence. Just arrange for someone to check it out when the time comes, and you’ll know."
Lis looked at the two in front of him, revealing teeth in a somewhat grim grin and said:
"Besides, the portal to that small world doesn’t restrict entry; we could even go ourselves."
"It’s just that not too many people are aware of this intelligence; we’d better capitalize on the time."
"If those from the Storm Church find out about it, it’ll be somewhat troublesome."
"Indeed, that’s the case."
Ashton nodded in agreement at these words.
He was quite familiar with the people from the Storm Church, perhaps because the Lord of Storm had always been planning to achieve powerful divine power, so the Storm Church was always very interested in expanding faith.
Although the Ocean Goddess Church and the Storm Church were allies, there wasn’t much amiability when it came to faith.
Not to mention, the Storm Church had long harbored interest in the Fishman Clan.
"Under the crown Klaus, what do you intend to do?"
Ashton looked at Klaus, pondered, and then asked proactively.
"I’m thinking O’Neill, a legend from the Ocean Church, and I should visit the Blue Sea Mini World’s legend together."
"I reckon with the allure of Gaia World, it should be quite simple to persuade him."
Lis nodded and said.
Indeed, that’s the case; a more powerful small world can spawn legends, but it’s absolutely impossible to produce divine level beings.
As long as that Fishman Legend is made aware of matters concerning divinity, everything else becomes quite straightforward.
After all, who could resist the temptation of becoming a god?
By then, even if a portion of the power of faith needs to be shared with the Fishman Legend, the remaining part would be enough to satisfy all present.
"I have no objections."
Upon hearing this, O’Neill stated proactively.
In fact, his current desire for the power of faith was no less than Lis’s.
He realized painfully that after Lis "took" his totem pillar, he seemingly had no intention of returning it.
He didn’t dare to ask for it back proactively, and this feeling was truly uncomfortable.
Reluctantly, he had no choice but to prepare to cultivate a new Totem Spirit.
Therefore, he also needed a lot of power of faith now.
"I will report this intelligence to the Pope as soon as possible."
Ashton nodded, looked at Lis and O’Neill, and said:
"I also wish to ask the two of you to make a trip to the Blue Sea Mini World first, and communicate with that legend. I believe inviting that legend here would be more persuasive."
"I will also communicate with Lord Li Si from Kane Floating City to avoid any misunderstandings."
"Okay."
Lis nodded in agreement.
Rest assured, while working for myself, I will not cause any trouble!
The matter with the Fishman Tribe proceeded as per his plans, soon expanding the harvest of power of faith.
Similarly, when the time comes to intervene in the battles of the Blue Sea Mini World, there would be a new direction.
The rest is just a matter of waiting patiently.
