Chapter 1140 - 663: The Ultimate Treasure - World Magic Rune_2
However, there hasn’t been any news of World Magic Patterns in the Gaia World for a long time.
After all, such powerful existences must have been collected early on by those mighty Divine beings.
If there’s any place where World Magic Patterns are most likely to exist, it would be within the Divine Countries of those Divine beings.
So, in his past life, Lis did not receive any relevant information and could only glean some hints from the Magic Book.
For all spellcasters, World Magic Patterns are the most precious treasures, equivalent to having the mysteries of the world laid out before them.
Even Mr. Stephens had never seen a World Magic Pattern in person and was quite regretful about it as a legendary arcanist.
Previously, when Lis was creating the [Self-Charging] Magic Rune, he thought it would be great to have a World Magic Pattern.
But at that time, even if a World Magic Pattern appeared before Lis, he wouldn’t have had the capability to master it.
However, things are different now.
In fact, after becoming a disciple of the [Judgement Flame], Lis obtained more information about World Magic Patterns.
The [Judgement Flame] was quite interested in World Magic Patterns for a time and gathered a lot of information, even expending effort to specifically search for them while traveling in the Star Realm.
But in the end, nothing was found.
However, it left Lis with a lot of valuable data.
When Lis curiously examined those materials, he discovered a location in his memory that matched the characteristics of a World Magic Pattern.
That was in a small world opened by the [Phillips Crystal], a place known as the [Ortega] small world.
This small world was extremely desolate; the entire world was nothing but a barren desert with no special resources worth developing within.
After simple investigation, many powers of the Gaia World gave up on this small world and focused on the struggle for other small worlds.
Later, some players who refused to give up remained in this small world, searching for possible extraordinary resources.
But later, they did not find extraordinary resources; instead, they discovered why there was no life in the [Ortega] small world.
It turns out that in this small world, once a month, terrifying thunder would fall from the sky, sweeping through the small world and attacking everything indiscriminately.
The terrifying power estimated that only a Legendary Strongman could survive it.
This phenomenon, once spread by the players, quickly attracted the attention of those extraordinary forces, which dispatched Legendary Strongmen to find the source of this phenomenon.
Afterwards, players didn’t know much about what happened.
It’s only known that later, those legends seemed to discover some treasure in the depths of the sky of the [Ortega] small world, leading to a legendary battle involving dozens of legends, with some even falling.
The purpose was to seize that treasure deep in the sky.
Because the site of the legendary battle was shrouded in terrifying thunder, players couldn’t get close and could only capture some blurred photos from afar.
After learning more about World Magic Patterns, Lis believed that the treasure in the [Ortega] small world that was contested by many legends was very likely a World Magic Pattern.
It could very well be a World Magic Pattern representing the [Thunder] rule!
That’s why such terrifying thunder appeared in that small world.
Only in a small world could a World Magic Pattern go undetected by the gods and not be collected early.
At the same time, because it’s in a small world, even if the gods knew about the World Magic Pattern’s existence, they couldn’t personally take action to seize it.
The battle of Legendary Strongmen in the small world could cause world shattering and breaking, let alone the gods.
If they forcibly intervened, they would only directly destroy that small world and cause the World Magic Pattern to vanish in the spatial breakage brought by the small world’s destruction.
Moreover, after knowing the existence of the World Magic Pattern, Lis could completely withdraw that World Magic Pattern in advance!
For this reason, Lis certainly had to make preparations.
Undoubtedly, the power contained in a World Magic Pattern is at least at the Divine Level of existence.
Even if its power isn’t fully activated, a legend like Lis would definitely find it troublesome to control the World Magic Pattern.
Therefore, Lis must quickly enhance his strength.
This is an extremely precious treasure in the Gaia World. If one mastered a World Magic Pattern, it’s like having a fast-track ticket to the apex when comprehending this world rule.
Lis doesn’t want to miss this opportunity.
However, the [Ortega] small world opens in the later stages of version 3.0, and before that, Lis has quite a few things to do.
Such as the small worlds about to be opened by the [Phillips Crystal].
In those small worlds, the connection is no longer just one [Phillips Crystal].
Two or even more [Phillips Crystals] have opened space channels to these small worlds, which means that players from the Huaxia District are finally going to face players from other servers.
For players, this is a competition and contest about honor.
But for Lis, he sees several fresh and tender fields of leeks waving at him.
Almost saying, "Sir, come and harvest me!"
How could Lis hold himself back?
Previously, Lis never considered venturing to other continents.
After all, at that time, even if Lis went to other continents, without the support of the White Dove Chamber of Commerce, how many leeks could he harvest by himself?
But things are different now!
Even though the situation remains the same, and Lis still has no way to open the White Dove Chamber of Commerce on those continents, he can instead let those leek fields come to him!
Come to his domain!
By then, whether it’s the White Dove Chamber of Commerce or the Gaine Floating City, wanting to harvest the players’ wallets will be a piece of cake!
After the launch of version 3.0, Lis didn’t gain much experience from the players, not even enough to level up several levels.
That’s something unavoidable.
After all, the new version hasn’t been out for long, and even the most relentless players need a considerable amount of time to reach the current version level cap of level 75.
In this situation, even though Lis’s newly launched Silver Rank Skill Store is quite tempting, players aren’t overly enthusiastic about spending Experience Points to learn skills.
When quality falls short, quantity makes up!
Anyway, for Lis, any leeks that he can harvest are good players.
He doesn’t care what color the leek is.
Plus, his own players have already received his strong support.
If they still lose in this situation, there’s nothing Lis can do.
In fact, the main storyline of version 3.0 isn’t divided by players’ servers; rather, it depends on the extraordinary forces players join.
The more small worlds the extraordinary force they’ve joined occupies and develops in the version 3.0 small world exploration, the more rewards the players will get.
This means that those who join powerful extraordinary forces, like the Dawn Church, might even be allies with players from other servers.
However, this situation is a minority compared to the overall player base.
Overall, players are still more willing to compete and collaborate based on servers.
As the fourth calamity, expecting players to fully obey orders is overestimating them.
But the main questline of version 3.0 isn’t limited to just that.
From version 3.0 onwards, Chaos forces represented by Evil God believers officially appear, beginning their struggle with the forces like the Church of the Gods of the Gaia World.
In this process, players can also choose to join the Evil God believers.
Or rather, those Evil God believers particularly favor these undead subordinates.
They can be recklessly used as cannon fodder without any worry of issues arising.
Whoever uses them knows the benefit of cannon fodder that can be resurrected after use!
Lis definitely doesn’t want his own home to be blown up by those players who join the Evil God believers by then, so he needs to make more preparations to minimize the threat.
Thinking of this, Lis couldn’t help but sigh.
I’m really too exhausted~
Where is Risa, I want to study together!
