Chapter 1042 - 978: The Best Way to Make Money?
Under Sona’s guidance, Da Fei and his party arrived at the city’s advanced trading post. A hall filled with various jewels and corals, glittering with treasures.
Sona quickly introduced, "Sir, here you can use Night Light Pearls to purchase local specialties like Sea Emerald, Blue Amber, Crystal Shining Stone, and Crystal Light Coral. Transporting them to nearby cities will yield at least a 10% profit, and the further you transport, the higher the profit. As for the Sea God’s Tribute you need, our city produces 10 to 20 units weekly to meet the needs of surrounding tribes for offering to the Sea God, the price per unit ranges from 3 to 10 Night Light Pearls..."
Da Fei couldn’t help but feel surprised, "A city’s Sea God’s Tribute has a production limit?"
Sona quickly said, "Exactly, other cities may produce only a few units of Sea God’s Tribute weekly, so if you need a large amount, the normal way is to purchase along every city route, and you must rely on luck to buy quickly!"
At this moment, the Naga trader in the trading post sighed and said, "Very sorry, the guests came late, this week’s Sea God’s Tribute was bought by queued traders! If you urgently need it, you can queue every Monday."
Queue! Da Fei looked at the group of Lobstermen outside the door, astonished! It turns out that Sea God’s Tribute is so hard to buy? NPCs will also compete with me? Not only is it hard to buy, but the key is the small output, only a few units to several dozen units per city. How long will it take to gather the 1000 units of tribute?
Now Da Fei finally realized that completing the tribute collection task through normal peaceful means might not be as easy as imagined, it would have been easier to just rob originally. But no matter, I have enough time.
Da Fei then asked, "If I have a batch of very good wine and weapons, where can I sell them for the best price?"
Sona quickly replied, "Good wine and weapons should of course go to Thunder Spear City, which is the largest island city on the surface of the Naga Empire, with a population of nearly 100,000, 50,000 of whom are humans. Influenced by human culture, the Thunder Spear City Lord highly regards good wine."
Da Fei then asked, "If I want to transport a batch of goods to the Siren’s territory, what goods should I transport?"
Sona said solemnly, "The goods in Siren’s territory are very unique and rare. Their goods can be sold for a good price here, but they might not afford our high-end goods. What they urgently need is a large number of ordinary pearls and slaves."
Da Fei was surprised, "They also need ordinary pearls?"
Sona hurriedly said, "Yes, apart from basic fishery resources, ordinary pearls are an important resource for the growth of the Sea Race’s population. All along, our Naga Clan has suppressed the Siren Clan’s pearl acquisition space, making it difficult for their population to grow. Although the other side may have found a pearl substitute, it’s still insufficient for development. So if the Master wants to enhance trade relations with the other side, sending a large amount of ordinary pearls in the initial stage is enough, but I don’t recommend exchanging Night Light Pearls for ordinary pearls."
So that’s it! Pearls for the Sea Race are like honey to Flower Demons. But Da Fei couldn’t help but ask in amazement, "You’re telling me this, doesn’t it indirectly help your enemy Siren Clan develop? No problem with this?"
Sona shook her head lightly and said, "My task is to fully assist the Master. I only need to demonstrate my value. As for whether the Siren Clan maintains their efforts to rival us or wisely submits, it’s not my concern."
Da Fei couldn’t help but laugh out loud, "Such an effort to rival without knowing themselves! Well said! Alright, I’ll start dealing with the Siren side’s goods!"
So Da Fei put 167 units of Deep Sea Ice Crystal Stone on the trading list, and the trader immediately quoted a price: 11 Night Light Pearls per unit, total price 1837 Night Light Pearls!
It truly deserves to be the Siren Clan’s exclusive premium goods! Da Fei was suddenly delighted, "1837 pearls! Equivalent to over a thousand temple warrior souls in price? How’s the sale price?"
Sona was also moved, "An excellent selling price indeed! However, if the Master is committed to cross-region reselling between the Siren and Naga, simultaneously boosting reputation, I personally suggest the Master sell ordinary pearls. Although 1 Night Light Pearl = 1 unit of ordinary pearls, it’s not practically the case in real transactions, it’s very likely they sell for over 3000 units of ordinary pearls!"
At this point, the trader very insightfully added, "If the guest intends to exchange using ordinary pearls, the current exchange rate is 3460 units of ordinary pearls! Although our trading post is limited to Night Light Pearl transactions, we’re more than welcome for guests to transact ordinary pearls, thus a special discount."
Da Fei nodded and responded with a soft ’oh’.
Sona continued, "And 3000 units of ordinary pearls will definitely purchase more good goods from the Siren clan, and garner greater reputation with them, enabling the Master to quickly accumulate initial substantial funds, thus the Master will have the financial capability to rapidly purchase Sea God’s Tribute at a high price."
Da Fei was surprised, "Rapid purchase at a high price?"
Sona nodded, "Exactly! Because each city’s trading post has limited tribute output and requires luck to queue, very unfavorable for the Master’s acquisition. Hence, another method is for the Master to offer double, even triple the price in trading posts and taverns to issue a bounty acquisition, someone will surely be willing to sell!"
"I see!" So abnormal methods aren’t only robbery, this time Da Fei deeply felt he found the right person, this Sona is simply a form of secretary in the battle, very familiar with the business and really aligns with my thoughts!
Da Fei happily said, "Alright, then sell ordinary pearls first!"
While Da Fei was about to finalize the transaction, he suddenly remembered that the first time he transported a huge sum from Fire Dragon Island, the transaction was completed by Deirdre, allowing her to gain transaction experience. Now she’s unknowingly reached level 49, one step away from the legendary level 50, all experience should undoubtedly be arranged for her!
So Da Fei then smiled at Deirdre behind him, "Deirdre, complete this transaction."
Deirdre frowned and said, "Master, this Deep Sea Ice Crystal Stone is an extremely rare high-energy resource, it could most likely be the best resource for creating Lilim Sea Demons, and Miss Saphen also mentioned that its production is very limited, these 167 units might still be their accumulation over years, are you sure you want to sell them all?"
Da Fei was suddenly shocked, "Are you sure Ice Crystal Stone can create Lilim Sea Demons?"
Deirdre said seriously, "After studying for a while, I can basically confirm that Ice Crystal Stones are formed under high pressure in the Arctic Deep Sea as unmelting frosty ice. They are completely different from ordinary frosty ice. I believe that the Lilim Sea Demons crafted from them will not only possess excellent water attributes but will also have incredibly strong defense, which is exactly the type of troops we are urgently lacking!"
Da Fei was shocked on the spot! Oh my gosh! I already negotiated the price and was ready to use this first bucket of gold to make a big mark, but seeing the situation now, it seems like I can’t sell them after all?
At that moment, Da Fei was in utter dilemma. Crap, I can’t bear selling the Hydra Soul, nor the Ice Crystal Stones. Does this mean I can only sell booze? Just booze then! I wonder if Ninth Heaven and Star have seriously managed to transport the booze and weapons over. If it doesn’t work out, I may have to disguise myself and return to the Dwarf Tavern to check on my own brewed wine.
Anyway, the next stop is home to have a look. I’ll ask them when the time comes; right now, they’re all busy.
So Da Fei sighed, "Alright, let’s not sell them. Instead, let’s go and take over Catherine’s Orca and get ready to set sail."
Just then, Sona spoke up, "Sir, in the archipelago waters, as long as the opponent is not a member of the Naga Sea Clan, you can attack and plunder anyone. This is also an effective way to accumulate funds!"
Da Fei’s jaw dropped to the ground! My gosh, why is this temple priest so fierce? Shocked and awed, Da Fei asked knowingly, "Won’t this violate the laws of the Naga Empire?"
Sona said calmly, "No."
Oh my gosh! Although I already expected it, hearing her personally confirm it, Da Fei still felt a faint sadness. Humans truly have no rights here.
However, a wave of ecstasy soon surged in Da Fei’s heart. Who among these pirates is a match for me here? I’m a man who has defeated regular armies!
And right then, Catherine, who had been gloomy, chuckled, "Plundering, eh? Let’s slaughter our way through then!"
Da Fei laughed heartily, "Yes, this indeed seems like the best money-making method!"
Now, Sona led Da Fei, Catherine, and the group to the dock, where a blood-red battleship quietly lay anchored. On its deck, a dozen or so pirates could be seen playing cards. Seeing Catherine arrive, these pirates stood up, waving their pirate headscarves and whistling. Needless to say, these were the troops left by Rock.
Then the System Prompt sounded with a ding:
