Chapter 1032 - 971: The Elf Kingdom of Japan Requests Aid
At precisely 4 PM, the battlefield was cleaned up, and the Golden Spearfish had been temporarily repaired, but could only be towed. Selvia’s Sea Soul Staff added 234 Naga Mage souls and 234 Sea Ray Battle Rider souls, a tremendous harvest.
However, upon seeing this bounty, Da Fei was reminded of the hundreds of Blood Demon bosses absorbed during the defense of the Pool of Radiance. It had already stuffed the Sea Soul Staff to the brim. In other words, the Sea Soul Staff is stuffed again (to capacity). Normally, it would have been fine to wait slowly, but the problem now is that Da Fei wants to research the Lilim Sea Soul. Waiting would really mean a significant delay.
Moreover, the Mermaid Priest Heliana had warned before that when the Sea Soul Staff becomes this obese, it would probably drop upon death, which is really not a good thing.
Thinking of the long road ahead, with Flying also having exhausted its energy and unable to perform instant teleportation in the short term, Da Fei, who had just calmed down from a great victory, couldn’t help but feel uneasy. Anyway, let’s set off. Next time, if confronted by enemy troops and peace can be achieved through dialogue, do so. If surrender is the only option, then surrender. After all, it’s Catherine’s Epic Quest. As long as no mission failure notice has been issued, there’s definitely a fallback for the players, and the system won’t trap us to death.
...
At this time, at the Star Guild Headquarters, the sound of ordering takeout for dinner was continuous.
Eternal Star was also in an exceptionally good mood. On the wall, the large screen was displaying live progress in the Vine Demon Village, the Great Wilderness, and the Divine Domain Space.
Although Star Guild has developed to the point of being one of the top three giants in the China Region, advocating cooperation for progress with pompous slogans, behind the scenes, competition takes precedence over cooperation. The mentality of hoarding resources has deep roots. Unless the current unfavorable circumstances in the China Region, with uncertain prospects for Star Guild, Eternal Star would never have come to a true cooperation.
From the current perspective, this step turned out to be right, whether it was the guilds offering manpower, effort, or money, or, despite the dislike for Da Fei, using his intel, the sense of stability from combined efforts and smooth advancement is truly reassuring. So Eternal Star ordered a rice dish early.
At this moment, a team member reported: "Chairman, latest news from the European Union Zone is that the Japan Zone has assisted the European Union Zone in capturing a Crystal Ore in the depths of Divine Punishment Hell!"
Eternal Star’s eyebrows furrowed, his good mood instantly shattered: "Crystal Ore? Japan Zone is dead set on helping the European Union Zone? Are the Japanese really that selfless?"
The team member continued the report: "Now the Japan Zone and the European Union Zone are posting photo posts and live videos of the post-battle scenes in international forums, stating that their cooperation’s sincerity will not be swayed by any rumors."
This realization made Eternal Star aware of the problem’s severity. So far, no player team has claimed a mine. If the European Union Zone could claim a mine this early, especially a Crystal Ore from Hell, assumed to be of high quality, it would be an immeasurable boost for them.
More importantly, the main force of the European Union Zone’s Crusader army uses Blazing Angels, which rely on Crystal Ore as ammunition. This implies that Japan Zone has provided the European Union Zone with an unlimited ammunition source. Wouldn’t the European Union Zone’s future battles just be smooth an onslaught?
Eternal Star quickly asked: "Were there any battle losses in capturing that mine?"
The team member reported: "It’s said that a small number of Melee Angels were lost, but whether they were revived in time is yet to be known."
The main Blazing Angels didn’t suffer losses? This situation is indeed very troubling! With growing concern, Eternal Star immediately consulted other guilds for their opinions in the United Team chatroom.
Royal Dominator coldly said: "Anyway, I don’t believe the Japanese are that loyal. Even if they were, there’s no way they would go to such lengths for the European Union Zone unless it were the United States."
Ma Yinglong sternly commented: "Well said. From a screenshot, I noticed a few Japan Team members whose appearances seemed slightly larger than that of ordinary Hell Race players, and this is quite unusual."
Eternal Star exclaimed in surprise: "Slightly larger build? Brother Ma, are you sure?"
Ma Yinglong confirmed sternly: "Yes! This conclusion comes from our expert team’s professional visual proportion analysis. Changing body size has nothing to do with level or profession, it probably indicates a racial evolution. I suspect these 15 National War players from the Japan Zone are an advanced demonic race. If they are advanced, then they are surely the prime focus of Japan Zone. Why would they sacrifice merit and reputation to help the European Union Zone?"
Royal Dominator laughed: "Chairman Ma is right, although I don’t believe the Japanese are that impressive, whether they are or not, we’ll use this as a breakthrough point to continue spreading rumors!"
Bloodrose Rosa chuckled: "Exactly, the more they post in forums to clarify something, the more it shows what they fear. We should never relent, continuously sow discord and create psychological barriers to their cooperation!"
Eternal Star laughed heartily: "As expected of a beauty, it’s a pity you never became a consort in the palace, or you’d be a master at palace intrigue!"
Bloodrose Rosa scoffed: "A consort? Sharing one man with so many women? Isn’t that disgusting!"
Everyone burst into laughter. Through this conversation, Eternal Star’s mood improved a bit. Indeed, as long as everyone thinks together, there’s always a strategy to be found.
At this moment, Eternal Star received a message from a friend’s list, and upon opening it, it turned out to be from the guild’s darling eldest miss, Bu Feiyan.
Bu Feiyan: "Chairman, I triggered a very strange quest at the Elf Staff Department. You have to take a look."
Eternal Star chuckled, surprised: "Live video!"
Although Bu Feiyan is the image spokesperson for Star Guild, her activities are quite free. She doesn’t have to work at the headquarters with other professional members, nor does she have to participate in guild actions. In short, it’s the privilege of a famous gaming beauty. Eternal Star can’t do anything about it. After all, if she’s not happy staying with Star, she can totally join another guild, and those guilds would love to offer her a million-dollar annual salary.
Now, Eternal Star received a shared video.
It’s still the wooden house of the Kingdom Staff Department, still that hot-tempered Great Druid Chief of Staff, who is now showing a worried expression: "Warrior, our World Tree has received a cry for help from our elf brothers in the Japan Plane. Demon Alliance—"
Bu Feiyan was surprised: "Japan Plane?"
The Great Druid rolled his eyes and said grumpily: "It’s the Japan Zone! Do I have to spell it out so clearly? Do you think the names of all planes are as fancy as the Europe Plane, Yameilia Plane?"
Bu Feiyan replied with an "Oh": "Please continue!"
The Great Druid shook his head grumpily: "I don’t even know what to say. The brother races there are already besieged by the Demon Alliance. All the allied forces in that zone are held up by the Demon Army and unable to provide help. The situation is already extremely dire, which is clearly a sign of the impending Solar Eclipse War foreseen. Last time during the Solar Eclipse War, the demons ravaged the world; we barely managed to win in the end. Although a thousand years have passed, we still haven’t fully prepared for the next Solar Eclipse War. So warrior, you’re one of the best warriors of our Elf Kingdom; you have the responsibility to stop them!"
Bu Feiyan was shocked: "You mean I have to cross-region for national war?"
The Great Druid sighed: "That’s what it means. I know this is a very difficult and daunting request, and I have to apologize for the incompetence of our brother races in the Japan Zone, but we can’t let the World Tree in that zone perish! If you’re willing, the power of the World Tree will teleport your army to the Japan Zone."
—System Prompt: The Kingdom’s Great Druid Chief of Staff offers you a cross-region national war quest "Rescue the Japan Zone’s Elf Kingdom World Tree!" Do you accept?
—Task Hint: This quest has a one-month in-game preparation buffer period. You can use the month to prepare.
Eternal Star was shocked on the spot! Is this the tempo to attack the main territory of the Japan Zone? Eternal Star hurriedly asked: "Hold on, will other planes’ Elf Kingdom warriors help? How many warriors does this quest require?"
Bu Feiyan conveyed the question, and the Great Druid solemnly said: "Of course, this is the shared responsibility of all elf brothers and even all warriors of the Bright Alliance. Everyone is obliged to help, but the World Tree’s energy is limited, so it can only send the most elite and excellent few warriors to the rescue."
Bu Feiyan asked: "Chairman, shall we accept it?"
Eternal Star gritted his teeth and made an immediate decision: "Accept! Anyway, there’s a one-month, three-day preparation time, right? We’ve been sick of the Japan Zone, and such a good opportunity to attack them is not to be missed!"
Bu Feiyan sighed with a smile: "You know how things are in the Japan Zone. Once I appear in the Japan Zone, all the Japanese players of the Bright Alliance will definitely PK me!"
Eternal Star said in a deep voice: "Don’t think about it too much yet. We can take on the quest that Korea District surely also took on. Korea District will definitely go. I’ll negotiate with a few teams from Korea District later."
Bu Feiyan smiled: "Then I’ll accept it, and for the next three days, can I trouble the guild to train my account?"
Eternal Star laughed: "Of course, go ahead and do whatever you need to do."
...
As Eternal Star expected, the Korea National Team also received the national war quest at this time, and many members are qualified to participate. The Korea National Team is currently in a heated discussion.
Go or not, there’s no suspense; they’re definitely going. The question is, who to send? With the National War Zone about to open, if main players of the national team enter the Japan Zone and get held back by the Bright Alliance’s spies in Japan Zone using dirty tricks, getting bogged down, it would be a significant loss.
So main players absolutely can’t go. That leaves only second and third-line players, or even substitute players. Soon, upon the old captain’s recommendation, three young stars from Korea District, Hong Xiuying, Zhao Shizhe, and Li Yinzhu officially made their debut.
Especially Li Yinzhu, who, after being eliminated by Chinese player Da Fei in the recent international competition preliminaries at Ancient City Ruins, improved drastically in mindset and technical skills almost reaching the level of top professional experts, gaining a lot of admiration. The task now is to further enhance their equipment and troops within three days.
