Chapter 1097: Chapter 704, Marine Forces
Silver Wing City.
In the empty hall.
Dordy’s angry roar echoed.
“Rebecca, who gave you the permission to declare war on the Sea Tribe on your own, this is a significant matter, how can you mess around like this!”
Even with the door tightly closed, the whole corridor could hear the bellow.
The guards standing watch were also startled.
What’s happening, why is Dordy so furious?
Rebecca declared war on behalf of the council, against the Sea Tribe?
Damn, this woman is fierce, even the council can’t restrain her.
Inside the room.
After his roaring, Dordy angrily sat down, waiting for a response.
Negotiations at Limat Harbor had ended by the coast.
That’s when he received the news.
Upon learning that Haber had declared war and ordered an attack on the Sea Tribe within three days.
He was also taken aback.
Is declaring war something to be decided so casually?
Moreover, such a decision was made without going through the council, how could it not infuriate him.
After a long while.
Dordy almost wanted to use a scroll to go to Lyss City at that time.
Only then did the Sound-transmitting Shell send back a message.
The tone was unusually calm, “They’ve bullied us to our doorstep, should we not be tough and simply welcome them in with open doors?”
Hearing this, Dordy’s fury surged again.
What an attitude!
He continued to shout, “Is this the reason you decided to attack on your own, without even discussing it with the Senate?”
“Dordy, what do you mean? Wasn’t it you who insisted on Lyss City arranging someone? You said they’d have on-the-spot decision-making power, and now that we’re being tough, you’re backing down.”
Hearing Rebecca’s reply, veins were throbbing on Dordy’s forehead.
An aide by his side quietly wiped off sweat.
Too wild.
This Rebecca, is she insane?
“The Senate just had a show of hands vote, you immediately order ‘Haber’ to stop subsequent actions and prioritize negotiation.” Dordy didn’t want to waste words with her, speaking directly.
“Can’t stop!”
“What did you say?”
“Can’t stop, and why should we stop, did the Sea Tribe bribe you? That’s why you’re backing off.”
“Rebecca, watch your language. The Federation isn’t your Lyss City, it’s not your place to create chaos,” Dordy said loudly.
He felt like she was going to be the death of him.
Last time, the reason for letting Lyss City arrange someone to go to ‘Limat Harbor’ was mainly because she had an Aerial Ship, which could be a legitimate reason to transport troops along the coast.
Now it seems, they made a fatal mistake.
They couldn’t control this woman.
The Federal Conference was ineffective, once she has an idea, it’s hard to stop her.
“I have the confidence and ability to attack Giant Claw Island, winning this battle could deter the Sea Tribe from further wanton provocation.”
“What confidence and ability do you have, is war a joke? You must stop.”
“Three days later, we must attack the Sea Tribe, if you have doubts, come over, I’ll explain my plan to you,” Rebecca continued.
“I am the leader, you are just a member of the Senate.”
“Don’t want to listen? Fine then.”
…
Evening.
In the hall of the lords.
Lying in bed, enjoying a massage from Eira and Little White, while explaining the special abilities of the ancient blood servants.
In simple terms, strong on land, even stronger in the water.
The three chatted back and forth.
The private chat notification sounded again.
He picked up the Book of Lords to open it.
It was Bai Xuan’s private chat.
“Fang Hao, leader Haber is too bold, today he directly confronted the Sea Tribe and ordered an attack on them in three days.”
“Tell me in detail.”
Bai Xuan immediately explained everything about today’s negotiations with the Sea Tribe, from beginning to end.
Then asked, “Is the council so bold? Daring to fight the Sea Tribe at sea?”
Uh…
The council, might not be that bold.
But this time the council representative was appointed by Lyss City, so it was possible.
As a later addition to the Senate and an undervalued member.
Lyss City needed a battle that others dared not fight, to establish their own prestige.
And, treating the Sea Tribe this way was the best opportunity.
“Let’s fight then, dragging this on wouldn’t benefit the Federation either,” Fang Hao thought for a while and said.
“No, dude, fighting the Sea Tribe at sea, isn’t that a joke? The Sea Tribe could just breach the sea vessels along the way, no matter how strong the hero, it wouldn’t help,” Bai Xuan explained again, fearing Fang Hao wasn’t familiar with the Sea Tribe.
“Hmm, Haber will arrange it well, when do you have time? Let’s discuss the subsequent plans too, some things need to be made clear in advance,” Fang Hao continued.
Seeing Fang Hao’s confidence in Haber, Bai Xuan didn’t know what else to say.
She could only reply, “Tomorrow morning? The earlier the better, then I need to report to leader Haber.”
“Okay, 7 a.m. then, still in the tavern’s private room.”
“Okay, see you then.”
…
The next day, at the Trade Alliance tavern.
“Brother Fang Hao, thank you for your help this time,” Bai Xuan expressed her gratitude once again.
Fang Hao smiled and waved his hand, indicating that she should not worry about it.
Transmigrators and natives still had their differences.
Haber really did need a transmigrator to provide some assistance.
For example, a transmigrator’s ability to manufacture could even directly produce ships, which greatly enhanced efficiency.
And the ability to record maps was also very practical.
Rather than saying Fang Hao was helping her, he was also finding a good assistant for Haber.
“Brother Fang Hao, what is the plan you mentioned? How are we going to compete for that treasure?” Bai Xuan asked eagerly.
Fang Hao paused for a moment and then asked, “How did you get to know Ma Tianyi?”
Hearing this, Bai Xuan was puzzled.
Why suddenly bring up Ma Tianyi?
After a moment’s thought, she answered, “We both formed an alliance, so we had some contact, but I wouldn’t say we’re very familiar.”
“Right, do you know about the demon appearing in Ma Tianyi’s territory?”
“Yes, when it happened, Alliance Hierarch Ma even asked me for help. Unfortunately, we were too far apart to be of aid, but fortunately, with your support, there was no significant loss…”
At this point, Bai Xuan paused in her speech.
Suddenly, something clicked in her mind.
Her brows furrowed slightly.
She suddenly remembered that Ma Tianyi had later announced the dissolution of his alliance and had directly joined Fang Hao’s territory.
This…
“Brother Fang Hao, do you have something else to say?” Bai Xuan asked directly.
Fang Hao nodded and continued, “Let me put it this way, for certain reasons, I need to keep the military situation of my own territory confidential.”
“Oh!” Bai Xuan nodded.
“So, you can choose to cooperate with me, but you would need to join my territory, becoming a subjugated City Lord, or alternatively, you can sell me that treasure map and continue to fight against the Sea Tribe with Haber.”
Ah, this…
Bai Xuan was stunned.
So, that was the situation. It appeared that Ma Tianyi had been presented with the same terms.
If she wanted to accept Fang Hao’s help, she had to become a subjugated City Lord under him.
Her situation was slightly better; she had a second option to sell the treasure map.
“Brother Fang Hao, this is quite sudden; I need to think it over carefully. After all, this isn’t just about me.” Bai Xuan said with a serious expression.
Selling the treasure map was a way to preserve the Alliance.
But, the more she interacted with Fang Hao, the more she felt the difference between him and a common transmigrator.
A man who could sway the Federal Conference, casually placing her by his side as a deputy.
That was a tremendous amount of power.
Perhaps even Xu Haide, who was often talked about in the channels, didn’t have this capability.
Thus, she was hesitant.
Given the current situation, was it better to cling to Fang Hao for support, or to preserve her own Alliance, continuing as Alliance Hierarch?
Fang Hao nodded, “That’s fine, but I need your decision within two days, before Haber officially launches an attack on the Sea Tribe.”
“Yes, that’s certainly not a problem,” Bai Xuan acknowledged, then asked, “Is Haber really going to attack the Sea Tribe? The Sea Tribe can attack underwater, and ships simply cannot pass.”
Even though Haber had already issued the orders,
Bai Xuan was still somewhat reluctant to believe that humans could attack the Sea Tribe.
“He’s an old general; he wouldn’t issue orders lightly.”
Bai Xuan pouted.
She felt that Fang Hao was brushing her off.
You definitely know something, but if you don’t want to say it, fine.
…
That afternoon, upon returning to the main city.
Fang Hao went straight to the Skeleton Conversion Field.
“Demitrija!”
“My lord,” Demitrija replied softly.
“Go to the Troop Hiding Cave and check how many fishman undead we’ve transformed recently, just give me an approximate count.”
“Yes, my lord.” Demitrija took the order and headed for the Troop Hiding Cave outside the city.
Fang Hao then stood in front of the conversion field, checking the available sea creature troops.
He recalled, during his last visit to the Trade Alliance’s undead shop, that he had bought quite a few fish bones.
[Skeleton Bottom-Dwelling Giant Fish (Tier 4)][Skeleton Pincer Fishman (Tier 5)][Skeleton Sawfish (Tier 6)][Skeleton Steel-toothed Shark (Tier 6)][Skeleton Wyrm Guardian (Tier 8)].
Except for some ordinary fish bones thrown in by someone unknown.
The available underwater combat troops were the five types in front of him.
The first, Bottom-Dwelling Giant Fish, was the monster fish that had guarded Rolana’s underwater silver sarcophagus, which Demitrija had slain and then transformed into a skeleton.
Pincer Fishman was transformed the day before yesterday, determined to be a Tier 5 troop.
The remaining three were bought from the undead store last time.
Back then, he hadn’t even thought about waging war against the Sea Tribe; he just thought that, since he had made the trip, buying them counted as expanding his troops.
Now, it seemed they could really be used.
