(Description: A creation of the Immortal Corpse Witch, unacknowledged by the God of Undead, this hero cannot be promoted, nor advanced.)
After all, being a Dark Gold hero, its attributes are certainly not disappointing.
In traits, it possesses ‘Innate Scale Armor’ and ‘Amphibious.’
This is also a characteristic of the Living Corpse.
If, hypothetically, it was made into a Skeleton Hero, ‘Innate Scale Armor’ would definitely not be retained.
Legion talents, two are related to underwater troop bonuses, and another, ‘Temple Guard,’ relates to fixed location enhancements.
The best choice would be for the ‘Ancient Blood Servant’ to command the Merfolk legion, guarding some structure in the deep sea.
Skills are mainly divided into two categories:
Close-combat and magic.
For close-combat, he uses his huge dual-bladed battle axe, with three close-combat skills.
Water Poison includes water toxins in close combat attacks, making wounds difficult to heal.
The remaining two increase damage, enhancing his close-combat prowess.
Magic, actually only one ability ‘Innate Casting’ was elaborately introduced.
He can release numerous water-elemental spells, and during the battle, Fang Hao saw several AOE (Area of Effect) spells.
Magic, truly, is where the ‘Ancient Blood Servant’s’ real power lies.
On the battlefield, it’s various magics that cause massive damage.
The last is [Fury of the Sea], with 500% magic damage.
This is his ultimate move.
Fang Hao was also not sure, whether it was cast during their battle.
The scene was too chaotic, with various water elemental magics flying around, so he didn’t notice.
In any case, a Dark Gold hero once again greatly enhanced the overall strength of the territory.
“Gulrukubagu, this is the Lord, come up and pay your respects,” Nelson said, looking up.
The Ancient Blood Servant bowed its enormous head.
He bowed to Fang Hao, “I’ve seen you, the exalted Lord; ‘Gulrukubagu’ is at your service.”
His voice thundered overhead.
Fang Hao looked up at him and said, “Alright, welcome to the team, ‘Gulru… Gulrukubagu’.”
The name was a bit long, Fang Hao checked the attribute prompt before pronouncing it.
“Thank you, my lord.”
Perhaps due to its size, his speech was very slow.
Not as fluent as a normal human.
Fang Hao nodded, then told Nisbit who followed behind, “Arrange for some men to bring over his weapons and armor.”
“Yes, my lord,” Nisbit quickly departed.
Fang Hao sat down to introduce the Ancient Blood Servant to the city’s situation.
The main city areas, what races were there, and what he was supposed to do.
The Ancient Blood Servant, huge as a small mountain, sat cross-legged nearby.
Listening to Fang Hao’s narration, continuously nodding.
“I understand, my lord,” the Ancient Blood Servant pondered for a moment, then asked, “My lord, what are my next tasks?”
“Start by guarding the main city. If there’s any important action in a few days, I’ll inform you,” Fang Hao thought for a moment and replied.
“Alright, my lord,” the Ancient Blood Servant agreed.
At that moment, Nisbit returned with several Skeleton Warriors.
Several Skeleton Warriors came carrying a huge battle axe and various armor pieces.
Nisbit reported, “My lord, the previous armor has been melted by the blacksmith, and we have found armor from a Bone Giant.”
Fang Hao looked at the Ancient Blood Servant, “Your armor is damaged, wear these for now, and we’ll replace them with better defense gear later.”
“Yes, my lord.”
The Ancient Blood Servant, extending its webbed hands, began to don the equipment.
Then, holding the giant axe, he stood up imposingly.
“Good, Ancient Blood Servant, head over to the east city wall first and find ‘Frederick’, he will assign you tasks,” Fang Hao added, “Be careful when walking, don’t damage the surrounding buildings.”
“Yes, my lord.”
Having said this, the Ancient Blood Servant, took strides towards the east city district.
With every step he took, the ground around him trembled slightly.
Fang Hao watched his leaving figure.
Somewhat worried, he wondered how to arrange his accommodation.
…
Lyss Port.
Several wooden chairs were placed on the coast.
The Human Clan and the Sea Tribe were positioned at opposite ends, engaged in a fierce standoff.
“Have your Humans come to a decision yet? Meet our demands, and the Sea Tribe will immediately withdraw their troops, and your fishing boats can continue to go out to sea, otherwise…, heh! Those cities of yours that rely on the sea, just wait to starve!” The half-human, half-snake ‘Hirosh’ scoffed.
The Sea Tribe were not the least bit afraid of the Human Clan.
Firstly, Humans couldn’t reach the sea, so there was no fear of their territory being threatened by war.
And these coastal cities of Humans relied on the sea for their livelihood.
Thus, in a situation of conflict, Humans were the first to likely compromise.
But this time, it seemed the other party was holding out a bit longer.
Leading the Human camp was an old general with an imposing presence.
Haber, the appointed general from Lyss City.
The sea breeze howled by his ears as Haber surveyed the Sea Tribe before him.
He spoke calmly, “The Federation’s stance is very clear, there will be no concessions. If the Sea Tribe wants to continue this strife, they may proceed.”
The Sea Tribesmen were slightly taken aback; this old man was indeed resilient.
“Heh! You’re quite spirited, but how long can you Humans last? It’s just a matter of compromising sooner or later. The Sea Tribe remains firm on the previous terms, fifty million resources; just agree to it, and the Sea Tribe will immediately withdraw its forces, and will not disturb the borders for three years,” Hirosh said as his serpent tail swayed.
“Shameless!”
“A bunch of robbers.”
The Human camp began whispering, cursing as the Sea Tribe started their blatant demands again.
This was no different from robbery.
The only difference, if you insisted, was that they were still negotiating, allowing for some bargaining.
Haber extended his hand backwards, and Bai Xuan, clad in shining silver armor, handed him a piece of parchment from the satchel.
“For the losses of life and ships caused by the Sea Tribe in this incident, the Federation formally demands that the Sea Tribe hand over the troublemakers and the seventy-two mentioned transmigrators, and also pay a compensation of thirty-five million Warfire Coins,” Haber read from the parchment.
The Sea Tribespeople were all taken aback; confusion and incomprehension were apparent in their eyes.
Swoosh!
Hirosh snatched the parchment, tore it into pieces, and threw it on the ground.
He angrily said, “Old man, are you out of your mind, thinking we are joking with you?”
Haber responded, “If the Sea Tribe is unwilling to compensate, the Federation will consider defending the dignity of the Human Clan through war.”
The Sea Tribespeople were briefly stunned.
Then they all burst into laughter.
Launching a war against the Hundred Cities Federation by the Sea Tribe might be plausible.
After all, they could also land and attack.
But how could Humans wage war against the Sea Tribe?
Attack the islands by boat?
What a joke.
“Old man, since you don’t know better, there’s no point in discussing any further. I can tell you clearly, any Human ship that goes to sea will be attacked, whether it’s a civilian or a government ship. Let’s see how long you can last,” Hirosh stood up, his eyes cold like a beast’s, staring at Haber.
Haber nodded and said, “On behalf of the Federal Conference, I give the Sea Tribe three days. Once the time is up, we will immediately attack Giant Claw Island!”
Giant Claw Island was ‘Hirosh’s’ territory.
Hearing this plan, Hirosh’s expression grew even uglier, feeling insulted.
But on land, the Sea Tribe was not necessarily stronger than the Humans and had to suppress the urge to start a direct conflict.
Coldly, he said, “Fine, I’ll be waiting, but remember, today you made the Federation lose a chance for negotiation. The coastal Humans will never again sail to the sea.”
Finishing his statement, he didn’t wait for a response from the Humans.
He turned around and led the Sea Tribespeople, diving directly into the sea.
…
Haber, with a unchanged expression, stood up and walked back.
Other accompanying officials also rose and followed.
They were all local officials or delegates from the conference.
Some weren’t quite clear about Haber’s intentions.
But it must have been a decision by the conference.
Flattery and boasting were naturally forthcoming.
“Commander Haber, you were truly imposing just now. In the several rounds of negotiations, this was the most humiliating for the Sea Tribe.”
“Yes, the Federation has made its stance clear. Once they go back, they will surely lower their demands.”
“Then, we will simply make some minor compensations.”
“That’s all we can do, whether it’s the coastal fishermen or the maritime trade, if stopped for too long, the Federation will suffer greater losses.”
The officials, gathered together, discussed in low voices.
To them, Haber’s performance was just a bargaining ploy with the Sea Tribe.
They didn’t believe Humans would actually go to sea to battle the Sea Tribe.
Haber glanced sideways at the people behind him.
He said to an adjacent deputy, “Issue the command, the entire army to prepare. We attack Giant Claw Island in three days.”
Whoosh!
The previously chatting officials stumbled.
All nearly fell over.
Are they really going to fight?
At sea against the Sea Tribe?
“Commander Haber, we shouldn’t speak lightly of this matter!”
