1042 Bombardment
Powerful lifeblood suddenly exploded!
Red lifeblood ripples visible to the naked eye began to spread out from the phantom of the Vampire King!
“Bang! Bang Bang Bang!!!”
The spreading lifeblood instantly exploded when it came into contact with the black, rhombus-shaped spikes that were still in midair!
What kind of power was that?
Han Lu was shocked to the extreme, and an extreme sense of danger rose in his heart. Suddenly, fine black rhombus-shaped spikes grew on the surface of his body, and he used his hands to block in front of him, wrapping his entire body in the spikes.
“BOOM!!!”
The phantom of the Vampire King raised his massive fist and smashed it toward Han Lu.
“THUMP!!!”
As the blood-red phantom’s fist struck him head-on, the rhombus-shaped spikes on Han Lu’s body exploded one after another, and he was sent flying backward. The black cuticles on the surface of his body were covered in fine cracks.
Bang!
Han Lu fell heavily to the ground, completely losing his ability to fight.
Eh?
He didn’t even die!
Fang Heng was even more surprised after taking a glance at the game hint.
How could a Tier 2 barbarian’s defense be so amazing?
“Chi Chi Chi…”
The surrounding Lickers immediately began to surround the fallen Han Lu.
They kept leaving wounds on Han Lu’s body with their sharp claws.
More than a dozen vine zombie clones behind him also staggered up under Fang Heng’s control, picked up the sample collectors and began to stab at Han Lu.
[Hint: You have collected 12 live samples of a Tier 2 barbarian, Han Lu.]
In the beginning, Fang Heng wanted to capture the barbarian alive and bring it back for Qiu Yaokang to dissect.
However, after the tough battle, Fang Heng had completely given up on this idea.
His combat power and vitality were too terrifying.
Even with the help of the phantom of the Vampire King, he could not kill a Tier 2 barbarian directly!
It was very risky to bring him back by force.
It would be troublesome if there were any mishaps during transportation or research.
After extracting more than a dozen live samples, the group of Lickers completely emptied Han Lu’s HP.
[Hint: You have killed the barbarian’s elite team captain, Han Lu. Your reputation in the human Empire has increased.]
[Hint: In the human Empire, you can cut off the ears of the barbarian team captains as spoils of war and exchange them for various rewards from the major human cities in the Empire.]
[Hint: As you have defeated the barbarian team, the barbarian’s attack on the player’s village will be delayed.]
[Hint: It is estimated that the barbarians will attack the village in 70 minutes.]
After confirming the game hint of Han Lu’s death, Fang Heng heaved a sigh of relief.
The barbarian leader didn’t drop anything after his death. His ears should be considered a compensation reward in the game.
Fang Heng thought about it and looked up at the battlefield behind him.
He reached out his hand, and the large patch of pale blue mutation crystals left on the battlefield was sucked into his palm.
[Hint: Player has obtained Tier 1 mutation crystal*347 and Tier 2 mutation crystal*31.]
Harper and the others in the dense forest were shocked to see Fang Heng kill a Tier 2 barbarian.
There was no vampire in this world. They regarded Fang Heng as a powerful necromancer. The move using the aura of the dead just now was naturally a powerful spell of the necromancer.
Harper noticed Fang Heng’s gaze and walked out of the forest with his men.
“Thank you for your help. I’m Harper, a sentry guard from the Empire.”
“Yes.” Fang Heng nodded and said, “I’m a necromancer from a nearby village. Captain Ao Cang is in charge of guarding the village.”
Harper heaved a huge sigh of relief when Fang Heng mentioned Ao Cang.
Fang Heng didn’t look like an enemy.
Necromancers were too strange, and the Empire guards were rather wary of Fang Heng.
Fang Heng also felt it, but he didn’t care.
This time, he did not disappoint. He finally got a Tier 2 barbarian’s live sample and body. He had to send the body back as soon as possible. Hopefully, Qiu Yaokang could find something useful.
Fang Heng looked at the dead bodies of the beasts around him, then turned to Harper and said, “If you don’t mind, do me a favor. I need to collect these corpses. Are there any carts or transportation tools in the outpost?”
“Alright, alright. The outpost has all the means of transportation. No problem.”
Harper agreed and immediately ordered his men to return to the outpost to collect the carts and help Fang Heng load the savage beasts’ corpses.
Some of the materials could be collected from the bodies of savage beasts and sold for a good price.
Harper did not think that Fang Heng would sell the items for money at this critical moment.
Evil necromancers.
Corpses were the best spellcasting material for them!
“Thank you,” he said.
“The barbarian invasion will continue,” Fang Heng continued. “Are you going to stay here or go back to the village with us?”
“Ah, this..”
Harper was stunned for a moment. He did not expect Fang Heng was going to transport so many savage beast corpses back to the village.
“Are you going to send these savage beast corpses back to the village?”
“Yes.”
Harper was bewildered.
The village’s defense facilities were backward, so shouldn’t it be safer to stay at the outpost?
Noticing Harper’s hesitation, Fang Heng nodded and said, “It’s fine. We’ll return to the village immediately after we’re done loading the savage beast corpses. You can continue to stay at the outpost.”
Harper thought for a while and immediately realized the meaning of Fang Heng’s move.
“No, that’s not what I meant. I’ll go back with you.”
The outpost was the Empire’s military defense facility and the number one target of the barbarian’s attack. It was foreseeable that the barbarian troops would come in waves later. Without Fang Heng, how long could they hold out by themselves?
It would take at least half a day for the Empire’s reinforcements to arrive.
Staying here was definitely death!
It would be better to follow Fang Heng’s team back to the village.
After all, the barbarian’s current attacks were carried out in small teams. The village where Fang Heng was located was at the edge of Hani City. If he was lucky enough, the barbarian teams might ignore the village and attack Hani City directly after the village resisted a few waves of barbarian teams.
At that time, they might still be able to survive.
Protecting a village was also a form of protection, and it was the same as contributing to the Empire.
Harper would have led his men back to Hani City to defend the outpost if not for the fact that the outpost was too far away from the city and might be attacked by the barbarians on the way.
“However…”
Harper turned to his men, who were helping to collect the savage beast corpses, and asked, “With so many corpses, wouldn’t it be a little inconvenient to transport them?”
“It’s fine. I’ll take care of the transportation. I have a way.”
Hearing that Harper was going to leave with him, Fang Heng was overjoyed. He couldn’t help but look at the outpost halfway up the mountain.
Not bad, not bad. Harper and the others would return to the village with him. In that case, he could take all the iron equipment, tools, and other supplies in the sentry tower with him.
After smelting, they could be used to forge many tools.
After all, there was a lack of iron ore resources around the village, and the materials for making iron could only be recycled.
Taking everything into account, taking the initiative to attack was definitely not a loss.
“Eh…”
As Harper looked at Fang Heng’s eyes which were looking around the outpost and seemed to be filled with greed, he felt a little weird and sensed that something was not right.
