1039 Construction
Near the brick kiln area divided by the village, a large blood altar was built by Fang Heng.
Fang Heng nodded in satisfaction.
In most cases, the size of the blood altar did not affect the effect of the altar.
The main purpose of the expansion was for the blood pool.
A large blood altar’s blood pool could contain more blood, which slightly increased the smelting efficiency.
A large amount of blood transferred from the temporary stronghold in the forest was poured into the blood pool in buckets.
In addition, brick walls and quick-drying cement were also in the process of being produced.
Based on an improved formula specially customized by Victor, the brick wall was made with a large amount of shrapnel given the existing conditions. Although the defense was much weaker, it was extremely efficient.
Now, they just had to wait for the first batch of bricks to come out and let the zombie clones go out to reinforce the outer wall of the village.
By then, the wooden fences at the entrance of the village would all be torn down and replaced with brick walls. The defensive capabilities of the village would be greatly improved.
The only problem was that there were several mines near the village, but there were no iron ore resources.
In order to solve this problem, the only way was to collect iron weapons from the village and reforge them into iron blocks.
Fang Heng turned his head and saw Mo Jiawei walking toward him with Qiu Yaokang.
Qiu Yaokang’s face was filled with displeasure. He was not in a good mood after his research was interrupted. He was a little reluctant when he was brought here.
The research lab in this place had not been fully built!
Fang Heng knew Qiu Yaokang’s character, so he rushed to speak before the latter, “Qiu Yaokang, you’re just in time. I’ve made a huge discovery!”
Qiu Yaokang, who was about to complain to Fang Heng, was immediately attracted by the discovery.
“Eh? What did you discover?”
“It’s the barbarian race.”
Fang Heng then explained in detail what happened during the battle with the barbarians, emphasizing the Tier 2 of the barbarian race and the strange black rhombus-shaped spikes that extended from the barbarian’s body.
After listening to Fang Heng’s detailed explanation, Qiu Yaokang frowned, his fingers rhythmically patting his pants, deep in thought.
“Interesting.”
Qiu Yaokang was very interested in the barbarian race that could enter Tier 2.
“It sounds like a transformation of a life form. Mo Jiawei’s demon hunter bloodline has a similar ability. Have you found a live sample for research? If it’s possible, I’d like to dissect and study it in detail.”
Qiu Yaokang said as he glanced at Mo Jiawei.
At the side, Mo Jiawei noticed Qiu Yaokang’s emotionless eyes on him and shivered for no reason.
“Ah, it’s also related to me, a demon hunter?”
Mo Jiawei suddenly wondered if he would see himself on Qiu Yaokang’s dissection table when he went online one day.
“It’s nothing. It doesn’t matter much.” Qiu Yaokang continued, “From what you just said, the strength mode of operation of Tier 2 demon hunters is very different from that of Tier 2 barbarians.”
“The method that demon hunters use is to stimulate their senses to change the activity of the body’s cells, thus achieving an enhanced effect. The barbarians are different. After Tier 2, they can extend black, rhombus-shaped spikes from their bodies. The spikes not only have poisonous effects, but they can also control explosions. This physical change is really interesting.”
“I’m afraid it’ll be a little difficult to bring back live samples…” Fang Heng smiled bitterly and explained, “When I first encountered such a troublesome creature, I did manage to get some barbarian corpses, but they were all ordinary barbarians.”
“It’s not comparable. It’s best if we can get a Tier 2 barbarian.”
“Alright, I’ll try my best later.”
“Yes, the laboratory has to be completed as soon as possible. Otherwise, a lot of research will not be able to be done.”
“Alright, alright. We’ll be quick.”
Speaking of research, Qiu Yaokang suddenly forgot about his complaint and focused his eyes on the pile of dead beasts and barbarian corpses not far away.
Without saying anything, he walked straight forward and took a few tubes of samples from the barbarian’s body. Then, he ran to the area where the experimental equipment was piled up and started to study and analyze it in the open.
On the other side, the zombie clones also started to drag the bodies of the savage beasts and barbarians into the blood pool to be melted.
“Chi Chi Chi…”
When the corpses were placed in the blood pool, a green flame that was several meters high immediately rose up.
Since Fang Heng was only controlling the modified zombies, they couldn’t simply extract the blood essence from the corpses like the high-tier vampires. Therefore, they could only use the stupid way to transport all the corpses back and pour them directly into the blood pool to refine the blood essence.
Fang Heng’s eyes lit up at the sight of the rising flames.
That’s amazing!
The higher the flame, the stronger the blood.
This meant that the blood of the barbarian race contained a great amount of blood power!
If everything went well, Qiu Yaokang would have found a way to deal with Tier 2 barbarians when the city wall was completed. By then, many barbarians would come to attack the village and end up dead. Then, wouldn’t he be able to collect blood essence without limit?
Level up and soon he could awaken the sacred tree!
Thinking of this, Fang Heng was excited.
On the sentry tower not far away, Ao Cang and the other mercenary groups turned even paler when they saw Fang Heng holding an evil ritual in the center of the village.
“What are the undead doing? Is that a sacrifice?”
“Necromancers do things unscrupulously. No wonder they will lead to disasters.”
“You can’t say that. Necromancers might be evil and eccentric, but they are helping us.”
As everyone was discussing, one of the guards’ eyelids twitched. He pointed to a place not far away and shouted, “Hey, look over there!”
In the eastern area of the village, the zombies took out the freshly baked bricks from the brick kiln.
Bricks?
The zombies loaded the bricks into the trucks one by one.
Soon, the fusion Tyrant forms dragged the brick trucks toward the east side of the village.
“This…”
Everyone couldn’t help but swallow their saliva as they looked at each other.
The brick wall had really been created!
If there really was a city wall, the village’s defensive capabilities would be greatly improved! It would also increase their chances of resisting the barbarian attack.
However, could he really do it?
Building a city wall required a lot of manpower, material resources, and financial resources.
Besides, in such a short time…
With just these undead?
Outside the village, a large number of zombie clones followed Fang Heng’s instructions and began to build brick walls in full swing.
Very good!
Victor was supervising from the side. He picked up a stone brick from the ground and checked its various attributes, nodding in satisfaction.
Mo Jiawei asked, “How is it? Victor? Can we guarantee that it’ll be completed?”
“Yes, the strength of the bricks has met the standard. It is guaranteed that they will have a preliminary defensive ability in three hours, their hardness will reach 70% of their peak in ten hours, and they will reach the best state of hardness in 48 hours.”
