Season 4: Chapter 218. Chikicha (1)
Thud.
Maid Black Tea’s knee hit the ground.
[Incapacitated]
She was furious. Even with Treeana’s relic, she couldn’t win. No, more than that, losing the relic midway had been the real blow.
“Haa... ha... Th-That annoying bastard...”
She knew ForeverAlone was strong.
‘He was this strong?’
However, she hadn’t expected it to be this bad.
‘What the hell is that chakra?’
Kuuooh...!
After swallowing Zelu’s worm, the promise had been fulfilled. ForeverAlone had inherited an enormous amount of chakra, especially when fighting against the Knights.
— Time to smash the Knight~
— Nice recruitment, damn
— ForeverAlone really can fight
— Almond’s rival and Zelu’s sword
Ding, ding, ding...!
[Random Buff Generated!]
[Random Buff Generated!]
[Random Buff Generated!]
Ten-thousand-won donations popped up faster than the chat messages.
Even after collapsing, Maid Black Tea snorted. “Hey, Lackey ForeverAlone, how long do you think you can last on chakra from betraying people?”
“Not long,” ForeverAlone replied as if it was obvious.
“What? If you know that, why the hell are you doing this?”
ForeverAlone glanced toward Zelu. “Zelu told me we should take back the forbidden technique, Chikicha. I got tempted when I heard that.”
“What? What even is that?”
— Holy shit LOL
— What is that, you nerd? LOL
— Maid Black Tea confused LOL
— Forbidden technique Chikicha, my ass LOL
“It exists. Think of it as... paying off karma.” ForeverAlone smirked and turned away. “You can’t even stand up, so just stay right there.”
He sprinted toward where Zelu and Almond were fighting.
“F-Fuck, we’re screwed. I’m supposed to be the one going over there...!” Maid Black Tea struggled desperately to move, but couldn’t.
***
The duel between Zelu and Almond continued. In many ways, it was completely one-sided.
Almond had slit Zelu’s throat over and over again, yet couldn’t deal any damage.
Zelu, on the other hand, could end it the moment he landed a single hit. However, he couldn’t land even one. By anyone’s standards, Zelu was supposed to win because all it took was one clean hit.
That one hit never happened. Little by little, the audience grew frustrated.
— What even is this? LOL
— Three magazines, zero kills, this is that vibe LOL
— Ugh... this is maddening
— Is this for real?
— If it’s Zelu it’s “Boring,” upvote
— This is embarrassing, Lord Zelu...
Zelu panicked because of more than just the audience.
‘Th-This...’
The brutal, overwhelming gap between them shocked him.
“Th... this much? My lord?”
The difference was far greater than he’d expected, and it shook him. Had he ever really fought Almond at full power?
Shraaaak!
“Died again.” Almond cut Zelu’s neck again.
It didn’t deal any damage.
“Cough!”
Still, it felt like the pain had reached Zelu.
‘M-My viewers...!’
To a streamer, no pain felt worse than losing viewers.
Thud.
His knee hit the ground.
“Hhk... huff...!”
And his body trembled.
— Why’s he acting like it hurts? LOL
— My lord showing real skills!
— Watching this hurts more, Zelo
— What is this acting? LOL there’s no damage
— I’m just gonna go watch Almond
— He’s getting demolished, for real
— No damage, though. What is he even doing??
Viewers who wanted Zelu to win felt even more disappointed because he was supposed to win. They had expected it, yet Zelu’s knee hit the ground with his health still full at 100%.
“D-Damn it...”
Pure mental despair made him lose balance. After all, virtual reality was a world made real by the mind. If the mind wavered, the body couldn’t remain steady.
“Z-Zelu! You can’t lose!!” Choco Shroom shouted from behind.
“Get up!! Y-Your mother is watching.”
— “Mother” LOL what even...?
— LMAOOOOOO
— Awww
— Holy shit LOL
— He’s joking on purpose, right? He’s gonna get up, right?
Zelu collapsed for only a moment before forcing himself up again. He grabbed at the ground and pushed himself upright. All he could grasp was the sand slipping through his fingers.
“Ah...” He reminisced. “Right... I remember now.”
— ?
— What is that tone? LOL
— He knows Almond can’t kill him, so he’s doing lines again LOL
— LOL
— Can’t win by fighting, so now he’s building up again?
“When I first came here... I farmed on this sand.”
Almond corrected him. “That was your dad.”
— He won’t play along LOL
— LMAOOOOOO
— For real
— Holy shit LOL
— This conversation is insane LOL
“A-Anyway... I crawled through hell here! No matter how much the world screws me over! I’m not the kind of man who breaks here!”
Whoom!
Zelu swung his red hammer again.
Almond dodged.
“Over here too!”
[Onion]
Somehow, an Alliance member had shaken off the servants and closed in on Almond.
— Onion LOL
— What a persistent bastard LOL
— Onion, it’s you again?
‘Got it.’
Zelu smiled. Talking to draw Almond’s attention had worked.
Almond swung his sword to deal with the attacker who suddenly rushed him.
Clang!
Even Almond, once he committed to an action, had to give something up.
“Hup!” Zelu cast his fastest instant stun.
Gwoong.
He slammed his hammer into the ground.
[Hell Quenching]
Every ore in the area trembled violently. Even Adamantium wasn’t an exception.
Bwoooong...!
For a moment, Almond stopped moving.
[Unable to Act]
Anyone wearing armor would freeze if hit by this.
‘Huh? He had something like this.’
Zelu grinned. “I saved this one for an ambush.”
He had hidden this skill for this exact moment.
“Leader, nice shot!” Onion swung at Almond’s neck.
— Nice
— Finally!
— Zelo wins!
— Damn
— Wish granted, now quit Survival Craft
— That was insane
Thunk!
[Wisdom of the Black Turtle]
Almond activated his skill and blocked the strike. Fortunately, the cooldown had ended just in time.
“Guhk... N-Now of all times...?!” Onion flew far away.
Zelu remained and raised his hammer. He waited patiently for the Wisdom of the Black Turtle to end.
“My lord, you’re stubborn. I’ll give you that, but it’s over. Do you not understand what it means that Onion Worker is still here? Give up!”
Zelu pointed toward the battered Servant Duo and Lemon Servant. They had cut down countless Alliance members, but barely remained standing. They would collapse at any moment.
— Oh no!
— damn
— help...
— our Knights...
— there are too many...
The Wisdom of the Black Turtle faded.
“Those knights you’re so proud of are finished. And now, so are you!”
Whoom!
Zelu swung his hammer.
Clang!
This time, Almond deflected it with his sword.
“It’s not over yet.”
After Almond’s skill ended, his frozen status also disappeared. Almond blocked again.
“Y-You insane...!”
— WOW
— What is this?!
— No way
— My lord!!
— Damn it...
“You’re staggering. Even if you block my hammer, the damage still stacks!”
Blunt weapons dealt accumulated damage even when blocked. Almond was clearly wavering, yet he still didn’t fall.
“You walking corpse!”
Whoom!
Zelu swung again.
[White Tiger Stance]
Fwaaat.
Almond blinked away.
Slash.
He reappeared behind Zelu and thrust his blade forward. “Another death.”
His sword passed straight through the back of Zelu’s neck.
“That broken-ass skill!” Zelu lashed out behind him in frustration.
The Hellsmith had overwhelming power, but poor mobility.
Whoom!
“Aaaaargh!”
Again, Zelu missed.
“Damn it! Then here too!”
Even Onion joined in. It didn’t matter.
Almond could easily read their intentions.
Whoosh!
He brushed aside Onion’s blade as well.
— LOL
— Again?
— He’s basically a dodge master
— Just give up already
— Says the one swinging
— Please die just once, Almond!
“Even if you keep this up, you’ve got no hope, Almond!” Zelu shouted as if calling it quits. “Just die already! Huh?! You’re killing my stream!”
— LMFAO
— hahahaha
— He’s begging now LOL
— This is insane
— LMAO
Almond checked his health.
[HP: 12%]
Even with all the blocking and deflecting, the damage had piled up.
‘Hmm...’
Still, he shook his head.
“It’s not over. Maid Black Tea will come and kill you.”
In fact, someone was running in from a distance.
“What? Maid Black Tea?”
Almond thought it was her. It was supposed to be her from that direction.
[ForeverAlone]
However, it was ForeverAlone.
“Are you seeing things, my lord? Must be about time for you to die.” Zelu burst into manic laughter.
Onion shouted beside him, “Ahahaha! He’s completely lost it, leader! To not even recognize ForeverAlone, the White Reaper of the Rebellion!”
“ForeverAlone?”
“Yeah. That’s ForeverAlone coming, not Maid Black Tea.”
Almond looked again. It really was ForeverAlone.
“But why would ForeverAlone kill me?” Almond tilted his head.
He knew nothing about the worm.
— @#$&@(&*
— @$(@(!!
— #@&(*
The filtered chat exploded. Almond sensed that something was wrong.
Fwoosh!
ForeverAlone kicked off the ground and charged in like a bullet.
Zelu grinned widely. “Why else? ForeverAlone is now...”
His smile grew even wider.
Shraaaak!
— ?
— ?
— OMG
— Huh?
— ...?
The instant ForeverAlone landed, Zelu’s viewer count dropped with him.
Thud.
A moment of absolute silence followed.
[Zelo has been killed.]
“Y-You insane bastard! Lackey ForeverAlone, you piece of sh...!” Onion screamed in disbelief.
ForeverAlone ignored him and aimed a finger-gun at Almond. “Chikicha.”
That was his final word.
‘Huh?’
Almond looked at him in confusion.
Ba-ba-bam!
[RageWorm has donated a whopping 1,000,000 won!]
[Die.]
Bang!
ForeverAlone’s chest exploded. His pupils dulled, and he collapsed with his body soaked in blood. His very name had been stained red.
— ????
— What
— Huh
— omg
— ?
— DAMN
— What the hell??
...
Thud.
Onion dropped to the ground in shock, and so did everyone else on the battlefield.
“What... was that...?”
“H-How did that happen?”
“No way...”
One of the war’s central pillars had instantly vanished, slain by the right hand he trusted most. That right hand had killed his master, then died himself. Those who didn’t know the circumstances couldn’t even begin to understand what they’d just seen.
Almond was no different. He scratched his head and asked his viewers, “So... ForeverAlone made a super play and got a donation for it?”
— Maybe?
— Now that it’s over... yeah, kinda LOL
— No, it’s just... sigh... there was something like that
— This is insane LOL
— LMAOOOO
— When you put it that way, it almost makes sense
— It’s better if you just think of it like that......
— ForeverAlone would probably want it that way too...
With that, the Cheese Village Civil War came to a complete end.
