The lands of the Legendary Plains stretched far and wide, but few were as bewitching and perilous as the vast dominion that spread beneath skies of shimmering dusk, where air carried both fragrance and venom.
Rolling plains turned to jagged ridges, rivers flowed like silver serpents across endless valleys, and strange flora pulsed with faint bioluminescence beneath the never-ending twilight.
Every breath here carried an allure, yet also a hidden sting, for this was the Great Cosmic Continent of Libra. A land where balance was law, yet poison was its secret tongue.
Deep within Libra’s heart lay a forest feared by many, whispered of by travelers, and avoided even by the Legendary Kings—an ancient and venomous domain known as the Serpent Abyss Forest!
Here, the trees towered like emerald giants, their roots gnarled and dripping with toxic dew. Vines glistened like serpents coiling in wait, and the very air was thick with invisible mists of venom.
To those who did not belong to serpent-kind, each step was a sentence of death—bitten by unseen fangs, pierced by countless ambushes, or poisoned by the forest itself.
Yet within this nightmare of fangs and toxins, treasures bloomed. Rare herbs, whose petals shimmered with lethal beauty, grew only in the Serpent Abyss Forest.
Alchemists across the Legendary Plains dreamed of these poisonous marvels—flowers that could grant power, leaves that could cure or kill, and roots that carried venom potent enough to melt the bones of Legendary Kings.
But such wonders were guarded by the rulers of this forest as numerous tribes of serpent races—scaled warriors, viper-blooded shamans, and Nāga clans—fought endlessly for dominance.
Yet none could escape the shadow of the apex rulers of this forest...the Lamia Race!
Half woman, half serpent, as they were one of those rare races that worshiped the Zodiacs, and Lamia worshiped none other than the Libra, and believed that they embodied the dangerous beauty of Libra itself!
From the waist upward, they bore the ethereal elegance of elves, their faces captivating, their gazes enchanting. From the waist downward, they carried the powerful coils of serpents, their scales gleaming with venomous luster.
Their dual nature made them unrivaled—the grace of maidens fused with the lethality of serpents. No tribe, no race in this forest, could rival them and revered them without any expectation, not to mention the fabled Lamia Queen, who was rumored to be as strong as any faction leader.
Moreover, there was a legend that once the Spirit Poison King, known as the most potent practitioner of poison, attempted to infiltrate the Serpent Abyss Forest to claim all its poisonous riches.
Yet, he fled in a sorry state because he seemed to have encountered the Lamia Queen and never dared to return!
At the center of the Serpent Abyss Forest, the Lamia’s domain stretched in splendor. Emerald groves intertwined with crystalline pools of venom, where the Lamia danced and sang beneath the canopy of giant trees.
Their laughter once carried through the mists, their voices like the chiming of bells, blending eerily with the rustling leaves and distant hissing of their kin.
But now...that vibrancy seemed to have gone, where once songs and laughter rang, silence reigned like a shroud. The air was still, heavy with a deathly calm.
The Lamias stood in their thousands, their flawless forms coiled in eerie stillness, faces devoid of expression. They moved only when commanded, every gesture precise, every step identical—as though bound by unseen strings.
It was not the forest’s venom that now ruled them. It was a will, a single, overwhelming will.
Even the trees seemed to recoil, the creatures of the forest gone silent, as if the Serpent Abyss itself acknowledged a new master.
At the very heart of this suffocating calm lay the Lamia Queen’s residence—a palace grown of living vines and crystalline scales, glowing faintly with the green-blue sheen of venomous light.
There she sat...the Lamia Queen.
Once a figure of awe and kindness, her people had beloved her, her beauty radiant like moonlight, her gaze gentle and warm, her laughter the heart of the Lamias’ joy.
But now... her beauty was no less breathtaking, yet it had undergone a transformation. Her eyes, once soft, now gleamed with cold calculation, devoid of any emotions.
Her lips, once curved in warmth, now rested in a cruelly perfect line. She exuded a majesty laced with poison, as though every glance could enslave, every smile could kill. Where there had been kindness, now only icy ruthlessness remained.
The Lamia Queen no longer seemed like a mother to her kin. She seemed like a sovereign who viewed her people not as daughters and sisters, but as pawns—pieces on a board she would not hesitate to sacrifice for victory.
At this moment, the Lamia Queen’s serpent eyes shone with a sharp light as she sent a mental command, "Continue to capture all the Legendary Rank beings from the Viper Shaman Race, and gather all the materials and treasures they have accumulated.
"Also, send everyone else who surrendered into the poison Sky Wyrm Nest, it’ll surely evolve into a Sky Lindworm, just need more ’nutrition’ as the Nāgas weren’t enough."
"Yes, my lord!" An emotionless voice sounded in acknowledgment right after the Lamia Queen had given her order.
The Lamia Queen’s expression didn’t change at all as she shifted her focus to the Soul Star Watch, which was quite strange because previously, anything related to the Star Network was forbidden within the Serpent Abyss Forest.
Everyone hates the Star Network, especially Lamias, because they believe that the Star Network is the enemy of the Libra.
So, if someone saw the Lamia Queen personally using a Soul Star Watch, they would be shocked and think the Lamia Queen was an imposter.
At this moment, the Lamia Queen didn’t enter the Virtual Star World; instead, a projection appeared in front of her. It was a projection of an inbox, and within it was only one name filled with multiple messages.
Suddenly, a rare trace of confusion flickered in Lamia Queen’s eyes as she started writing the same message to the same star ID owner.
"I’m waiting for your order, Sir!
