"The intense emotions and obsessions of the living, the soul resonance of the dead, and the energy imprint of major historical events all leave lasting ’ripples’ in the Spirit Realm.
These ripples carry rich information, waiting for capable observers to interpret them."
The connection between Spirit Realm perception and the three major laws of necromancy has also become clearer:
First, the Law of Soul Immortality:
Because the souls of intelligent beings enter the Spirit Realm after physical death and continue to exist in some form, they can be ’perceived’ and ’interacted’ with.
Spirit Realm perception is the first step in detecting these soul seals.
Second, the Principle of Life and Death Conversion:
The essence of necromancy is to open a temporary ’channel’ between the material world and the Spirit Realm through specific rituals and energy frequencies, achieving energy and information exchange between these dimensions.
Without Spirit Realm perception, it is impossible to locate the opening points of these channels.
Third, the Hypothesis of Memory Materialization:
In the Spirit Realm, memories and emotions will condense into semi-physical existence similar to ’energy crystals.’
Spirit Realm perception enables the observation of these ’crystals’ and the interpretation of their contained information through special techniques.
"Therefore, ’Spirit Realm perception’ is the foundation of the entire necromancy system."
Ron summarized the importance of this skill in his mind:
"It’s like giving a Wizard eyes to see the Spirit Realm and ears to hear the whispers of the dead.
Only by first ’seeing’ and ’hearing’ can further communication, extraction, and manipulation occur."
......
After mastering this basic skill, a bold idea suddenly emerged in Ron’s mind:
"Since the pocket watch can devour ’books,’ which are dead objects carrying information, can it also devour the ’pheromone mark,’ an energy imprint attached to me?"
This possibility made his heart begin to race.
The tracking mark left by the Time Hound squad leader has always been a thorn in his side, like a time bomb ready to explode at any moment.
Whenever he uses time-related powers, he worries whether those terrifying predators will detect him.
If he could completely eliminate this hidden threat...
He immediately started to take action but soon faced a technical challenge:
How to ’hunt’ a mark that is invisible, intangible, and exists purely conceptually?
Traditional hunting targets are always tangible objects.
However, the pheromone mark resembles an abstract ’imprint,’ deeply ingrained in his very essence.
Ron closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and began to mobilize all available perception methods.
He first activated the ’Eye of Observation,’ allowing those virtual pupils that could perceive real fluctuations to meticulously scan every detail of himself.
Then he employed the recently acquired ’Spirit Realm perception,’ extending his consciousness’s tentacles to deeper dimensional levels.
Finally, he triggered the silver pocket watch’s ’devouring’ ability.
At the same time, he concentrated his mind entirely on the concept of ’that damned tracking mark on me.’
Under the collaborative effect of multiple perception methods, Ron’s consciousness entered an unprecedented state of introspection.
He seemed to become a floating observer within his body, able to examine the structure of his existence from a higher dimensional perspective.
In this state, he finally ’saw’ the long-hidden mark.
It does not exist amidst the physical layers of flesh nor within the surface magic circuits.
Instead, it is like a tiny grey toxic thorn emitting malevolent red light, deeply rooted in his soul aura.
This toxic thorn is finer than a strand of hair.
Yet it emits a disturbing pulse, like a living parasite writhing in his spirit essence.
Most horrifying, Ron can sense the faint ’gaze’ coming from the other end of the thorn.
That is the indifferent scrutiny from the Time Hound group.
"No wonder they don’t need other tracking mechanisms."
He suddenly realized within his heart:
"This establishes a direct ’tether line’ to the soul level.
No matter where I flee or what methods I use to hide, this line will expose my exact location."
The pocket watch sensed his intention, and the dial once again manifested that profound vortex.
But this time, the vortex did not appear on the material level but deep within Ron’s consciousness.
A phantom pocket watch image constructed from silver light slowly approached that soul toxic thorn.
At the moment of contact, the phantom pocket watch suddenly opened an invisible ’gigantic mouth’ and took a fierce ’bite’ towards the thorn.
Ron felt a sharp but slight pain from the depths of his soul, like pulling out a stubborn thorn that had been lodged for a long time.
Though brief, the pain carried a liberation-like delight.
As the thorn was completely devoured, an unprecedented feeling of lightness spread from the depths of his soul.
The oppressive feeling of being spied upon like a looming thorn vanished entirely, replaced by a refreshing breeze of freedom.
Ron knew he had temporarily disappeared from the Time Hound’s tracking list.
Though it only provides short-term safety, it at least buys him precious development time.
......
And at this moment, the pocket watch once again provided energy feedback.
This time, it not only digested the time energy contained in the mark but also reverse-engineered the structural principles of the pheromone mark.
["Pheromone Mark" has been extended: Concealed Imprint]
[Concealed Imprint:
Based on the deep analysis of the Time Hound tracking mechanism, you can now create pheromone marks that are almost undetectable.
