Wen Xishu already vaguely understood the nature of the game.
First round, second round, third round... Ultimately, it all comes down to letting "me" understand other "me."
These "me" are not monsters and can’t simply be seen as enemies.
They have a connection with each other. During the understanding process, no matter how powerful they are, they inevitably fall into contemplation and confusion—
Should I sacrifice myself to fulfill "me"?
So in the game, it often happens that I go to the world of another me and encounter the people of that place.
At this moment, Wen Xishu also strongly suspected that this Scorpio was not the Scorpio he knew.
"Brother, you’re truly sharp. I wish I could travel to your world. By the way, in your world, we must have a great relationship, right?"
"You seem to be a really great game partner."
Scorpio looked at Wen Xishu and said with a smile.
Wen Xishu frowned:
"So you’re the Scorpio of my universe... No, you’re the Scorpio of Universe 001."
Wen Xishu reacted swiftly. Scorpio’s response seemed to indicate he was the Scorpio from Universe 001, but Wen Xishu’s first instinct was whether this guy was probing him about something.
In your world, our relationship must be good. It feels like he’s trying to get me to answer a certain question.
Thus, Wen Xishu immediately realized this might be the Scorpio of his world.
But just at that moment, Scorpio couldn’t suppress his smile at the corner of his mouth.
"Hahaha, I haven’t seen such a friendly version of you in a long time, brother."
Scorpio finally shook his head slowly:
"Alright, I come from Universe 001, I’m speaking the truth, brother. Because of my schemes, you killed someone who shouldn’t... Oh, no, it was him who killed someone who shouldn’t have been killed, so we became archenemies. Every time he sees me, he destroys my game realm, trying to kill me directly."
"Hmm... I’m one of the few surviving constellations, counting... Gemini. In total, there are still four constellations alive."
"Do you want me to tell you the order of death?"
Wen Xishu now believed this should indeed be the Scorpio of Universe 001.
"I actually had a premonition that there would be an Otherworldly Me, a world so unique, unique as if that world was just like mine..."
"But after truly meeting you, I believed it."
"How similar is Universe 001 to my world?"
Wen Xishu couldn’t help but ask again.
Scorpio squatted by the campfire, casually tracing in the dirt with his fingers.
"Almost exactly the same. The difference lies in the different trajectories of many events."
"The remaining constellations all desire to kill each other. Because the killing has already started, the correct answer has already been missed, so they can only choose the seemingly second correct answer as much as possible."
Wen Xishu asked:
"What is the correct answer?"
Scorpio actually shook his head, shrugged, and pursed his lips.
"Who knows?"
Wen Xishu asked:
"Can you tell me anything? Universe 001’s Wen Xishu is your enemy, right? If he’s your enemy, shouldn’t you help me?"
Scorpio replied:
"Brother, I call you brother, but you can’t really take me for a younger brother; if he dies, wouldn’t I die as well?"
Wen Xishu said nothing. That’s quite true.
Scorpio quickly donned a sly smile again:
"Calm down, since I’m your reward for fixing bugs, I’ll naturally help you."
"Brother, considering you might survive, I’ll tell you some things you should pay attention to."
"First, I’m a character who can gamify many things, which is extremely powerful and worth recruiting."
"Because only I can change the form of battle and gamify it. Without me, the battle becomes straightforward and pure."
"But my relation with him is too bad, there’s no possibility for cooperation, and I also long to kill him."
Wen Xishu, having come this far, felt that Scorpion Knife had helped him accomplish many things.
If possible, he certainly hopes Scorpio can be friends with him.
Though indeed, he always felt manipulated by Scorpio.
"What about the second?"
Scorpio said:
"Don’t be hasty. The second is to strive to climb the tower. Climb as much as possible and achieve the best possible ending."
"But you must survive."
Wen Xishu laughed in exasperation:
"Are you performing level ten nonsense?"
Scorpio seemed somewhat aggrieved:
"Brother, Deceit Tower desires to kill you."
"Deceit Tower also wants to fulfill you."
"Your performance in Deceit Tower is the game between God and Outer God."
"Most people... are merely nutrients for the Outer God. But if you don’t climb the tower, many bad things cannot be changed, many secrets cannot be obtained..."
"The war becomes even harder to win."
"The Three Towers are conflicting, providing you Bunker People with strength, yet simultaneously desiring to kill you."
"It will also mislead you, planting some conspiracies, such as some items being crucial, yet it seems you went through considerable hardships in acquiring them..."
"But if you think carefully, you’ll find their heaven-defying nature doesn’t match the difficulty of acquiring them; it’s still far too easy to obtain."
"Some things might be Outer God’s means of recruiting you."
"And during the tower climbing process, many people are actually assisting Outer God, only a few are making the world better."
"So, my only advice to you is—climb the tower more, but don’t die, and achieve a high completion rate as much as possible."
"That’s not wrong, dear brother."
Scorpio appeared quite innocent.
