It was only after the "advancement rules" were released that some people targeted the Wen Xishu who were particularly easy to kill, but they were slow to take action.
The reason is simple: this is not a competition among a hundred strangers; it’s a competition among a hundred versions of "me." No one would easily underestimate "my" intelligence.
Of course, some have thought about it. For example, 046, the Bunker Wen Xishu, has thought about whether a perfect pass means the hundred versions of me will survive and collectively overcome all difficulties...
But clearly, he must give up such fantasies.
Because the first victim has already appeared.
Moreover, the first victim’s appearance has brought information about the second reward for killing "me."
At this point, everyone starts observing each other.
And 007 Wen Xishu has also gained insight through death.
"Overtime, staying up late, fatigue—my behavior must be related to these, but this behavior must be alive."
"Then I’ll perform sudden death."
Suddenly, 007 clutches his heart, a slight expression of pain crosses his face, he breathes rapidly a few times, then suddenly bangs his head on the table with a thud.
Sudden death.
007’s logic is simple: if I really died suddenly, then I’m already dead, does the behavior on my head matter anymore?
Thus, the answer definitely wouldn’t be sudden death.
Yet sudden death fits the answer from the interviewer.
So, 007 Wen Xishu smoothly passes the test.
The word "yawning" vanishes from the top of his head.
[Universe 007 Wen Xishu advances successfully.]
Agent Wen Xishu merely smiles elegantly, then approaches 001 Wen Xishu.
Gradually, other Wen Xishu begin choosing to interview, while many others continue selecting targets.
Some Wen Xishu belong to the zone of concentrated glances because their behaviors are easily triggered, naturally making them easy targets.
But everyone is a Wen Xishu; no one is easy to deal with.
These Wen Xishu whose fatal behaviors are easily triggered also realize their situation. They completely retreat into a closed state.
They choose the most rational response, a silent stance of no socializing and inactivity.
Thus, the difficulty in killing these Wen Xishu actually increases.
It’s as if there’s some self-correcting mechanism in the market: when originally easy tasks become difficult, more interviewers show up.
After all—interviewers’ requirements will provide some clues.
This is the competition among Wen Xishu, as if they all come from the same master and can’t break each other’s moves.
Even the happy fool 045 gradually acclimates, realizing that he’s barely noticed and knowing his behavior is hard to trigger, choosing to be interviewed seems best.
At this moment, 046, the Bunker Wen Xishu, unleashes his formidable five senses. Despite most powers being stripped away, the sharpness of Wen Xishu’s senses remains.
He’s very curious about what the Eye of Tragedy actually is.
What does the drunkard 061 plan to use to surprise 001?
This answer is finally revealed.
"Could you please tell me what level of power you obtained from the Eye of Tragedy? At face value, it sounds like some kind of eye that can see the future?"
"Let me guess—it’s hard for me to understand why someone like me would drown in alcohol, even when facing various hardships."
"Human beings have tenacity, an inherent hope for life. Life is unknown, but if someone could foresee the tragedies that would happen to them and always sees them but can’t change them... wouldn’t they become depressed?"
"Start to enjoy drowning sorrows in alcohol?"
Excellent, 007’s deduction is identical to mine, even faster. Wen Xishu can’t help but admire—not just another worldly me.
Facing 007, 001 unusually hasn’t resisted, hasn’t seemed extremely aloof, the dangerous air subdued:
"Yes, I can see a tragedy."
and Wen Xishu both experience a jolt inside.
often faces various puzzles, while Wen Xishu must solve puzzles in Deceit Tower or die... Thus, although the worlds they live in are different, if their brains have combat power, the combat values of both are probably closest.
Thus, both simultaneously consider a certain possibility.
"Does the tragedy you mention include us?"
replies:
"I will kill all of you. The gap between us is too vast."
shrugs:
"I can only hope the Eye of Tragedy isn’t particularly accurate, at least in this singular universe stage, it doesn’t need to be as precise as in universe 061."
"Otherwise, I somewhat want to drink. After all, I really have no way to defeat you."
Just like Wen Xishu, 007 Agent Wen Xishu also believes 001 Wen Xishu is the toughest to deal with.
Wen Xishu’s feeling at this point is far more precise than 007’s. Because from the start, Wen Xishu can clearly feel the pressure from 001 Wen Xishu...
It seems not under the old principal’s constellation.
Among many Otherworldly Me, 001 Wen Xishu is as powerful as a deity.
"So, is it because you’re too powerful that the rules can’t limit the acquisition of your information?" 007 Wen Xishu asked.
During 007 Wen Xishu’s interview, he’s actually observing all directions, and the drunkard’s death deeply impacts him.
"Yes. I am different from you all. I don’t look down upon myself, so I won’t look down upon you either, but everyone’s experiences are entirely different. Different worlds shape different versions of us."
