I kept walking until I reached the rescue zone.
The System had created a disaster scene. There were crashed cars, piles of broken concrete, and small fires burning on the street.
Hidden in the rubble were the dummy civilians. They were plastic mannequins. To pass the test, you had to find a dummy, pick it up, and carry it to the green safe zone at the end of the street.
The other applicants were working hard. I watched the guy in the heavy armor lifting chunks of concrete off a dummy. He was groaning, his face red from the effort. I watched the sponsored girl using her ice to put out a fire so she could grab another dummy.
Everyone was rushing. The clock was ticking.
I walked up to a crashed blue car. The front of the car was smashed into a lamppost and the engine was on fire. Underneath the back tire, a plastic dummy was trapped.
I stopped and looked at it.
Normally, a Hero would use their Strength stat to lift the car. Or they would use a water Blessing to put out the fire, then drag the dummy out. Both of those options required physical effort.
I looked at my Status Screen.
BP: 19/20.
I had plenty of gas left. I just needed to be efficient.

I pointed my finger at the burning engine. Fire needs oxygen to burn. If you take away the oxygen, the fire dies instantly.
I created a tiny vacuum right around the engine block pulling all the air away from the flames.
Cost: 1 BP.
The fire vanished in less than a second. No smoke, no water, just gone.
Next was the dummy. It was heavy, probably weighing around two hundred pounds. My Strength stat was 5. If I tried to pull it out from under the tire, I would definitely pull a muscle in my back.
I created a concentrated updraft of wind.
Cost: 2 BP.
The wind pushed up against the dummy. Slowly, smoothly, the mannequin slid out from under the car and floated into the air. It hovered right next to me, floating about three feet off the ground.
I started walking toward the green safe zone as the dummy floated behind me, carried by the breeze.
I walked past Leo who was carrying a dummy over his shoulder, sweating through his tracksuit. He was panting heavily and looked at me.
"How are you doing that?" Leo asked, out of breath.
"Magic," I said, continuing to walk.
I reached the green safe zone which was a large painted square on the road. I stepped inside and let go of the wind, dropping the dummy onto the ground.
A loud chime echoed from the hidden speakers.
"Applicant 89, Shay Fawn. Rescue complete," an automated voice announced. "Physical Exam time: Four minutes, twelve seconds. Score: Perfect."
I had finished faster than the elites and the guy in heavy armor.
I looked up at the one-way mirror high above the street and gave them a small wave.
A glowing blue portal appeared in front of me. The physical test was over so I stepped through the portal and teleported out of the Zone.
I was halfway to getting my Hero License. Now, all I had to do was pass the written test.
How hard could a written test be?
