Europe is just like this, unlike America and later China, with vast land space and large, spacious buildings.
Here, every inch of land is precious, the rooms are very small, even smaller after putting in an extended bed, you could say there’s nothing but the bed.
The floor heights are not high either, soundproofing is mediocre, and everyone can hear the sounds from upstairs and downstairs in their own rooms.
After settling the family, everyone was already worn out from the day, those who need to rest should go rest.
If you want to play, there’s still almost a week to play well and relax.
At this moment, Gan Guoyang heard a commotion downstairs, he guessed it was definitely Barkley causing a ruckus.
Looking down from the window, sure enough, Barkley was leaving the hotel with a group, off to play somewhere unknown.
Gan Guoyang was in the room playing cards, gambling, and chatting with Jordan, Ewing, Johnson, and others.
This scene reminded Gan Guoyang of his experience as a training partner on the Olympic team in 1984, it’s been 8 years now.
They’ve gone from fresh college graduates to family men and basketball superstars.
When it was time to sleep at night, there was suddenly a commotion upstairs, followed by a chaotic noise.
Gan Guoyang and Wang Fuxi both woke up startled, Gan Guoyang heard the sound of guards, their footsteps were heavy, along with the sound of firearms rubbing.
Gan Guoyang asked Wang Fuxi to look after the children, and asked Quentin and Feng Peiyu next door to come out and guard the door while he went out to check the situation.
Honestly, with athletes from America and Israel out competing, there’s always some concern.
Gan Guoyang somewhat regretted staying with the Americans, if anything happens, he doesn’t want to get caught in the mess.
Once he learned what happened, Gan Guoyang was dumbfounded.
It turns out, after Stockton and his wife arrived in their room, they took out laundry from this period to rinse in the sink.
Stockton, the old miser, didn’t want to send clothes to the hotel for washing and drying as the expense was not reimbursable, he had to pay himself.
Just as it happened, his wife Nada specifically brought a clothesline, she crawled out of the window onto a small platform between buildings, hung the clothesline and dried the clothes on it.
As a result, Drexler’s family next door heard someone crawling on the platform and immediately reported to the guards, worried about thieves or even criminals invading.
Thus, a fully armed squad surrounded Nada who was drying clothes, only after clarifying the situation did they realize it was a misunderstanding, a false alarm.
Gan Guoyang was completely speechless at Stockton, and Nada too, aren’t these two a family? In a luxury hotel, you still wash and dry clothes?
"John, can’t you send clothes to housekeeping for washing and drying? You... you even brought a clothesline!"
Stockton laughed awkwardly and said, "Nada wanted to bring it; I think... I think this way is more economical. When the sun comes out tomorrow, the clothes will be dry, and it can disinfect..."
"Is this a disinfection problem? You... never mind, how about I pay for your laundry expenses?"
"Oh no, no, Sonny, let us dry the clothes, otherwise this line would be wasted."
Gan Guoyang knows that Stockton isn’t short on money, he just enjoys being miserly.
Living with the Dream Team really is a bunch of chaotic matters, each person has utterly different temperaments and personalities.
