This mission is also an immersive storyline, with Tianmiao becoming the new Emperor’s mother. And the original persona? This time, the original persona is quite formidable.
In the past, many of those original personas in immersive missions chose to disappear themselves due to accidents or heartache. This time, the original persona is completely different. Back then, her sister’s act of opting to abandon the mother and keep the child utterly broke her heart; later, after being rescued by her family, she finally came out of it with their care. And then what did she do? She secluded herself at home and devoted herself to Buddhism.
So now she has become a Buddha...
She has become a minor deity in today’s world and is now advancing her training.
Therefore, Tianmiao has become the new Emperor’s mother to complete this task and restore this world.
Tianmiao has never been a mother in previous missions, but it’s the first time being the mother of someone with such strong luck. This new Emperor, who is now her son in identity, has luck so strong it reaches beyond the clouds.
It’s also the first time Tianmiao has seen a human with such potent luck.
The Emperor cheerfully brought his own mother back to the Imperial Palace, giving her the largest and finest palace in the harem to live in. The palace that belonged to the previous Emperor was always reserved for the favored concubine, but the new Emperor declared, "My mother has suffered, been wronged, so I must properly compensate her. As for the concubines? Can they eat? If not, they can step aside."
When the new Emperor was a Prince, he didn’t even have a Princess. Not to mention a Main Wife, he didn’t have a Concubine or even a simple room maid.
Don’t ask, if you ask, he’s stingy.
The new Emperor not only likes to eat but is also very stingy.
Marry a Princess? That’s impossible! The food, clothing, and expenses of a Princess are such a significant cost—enough to feed oneself for many meals—a whole month’s worth. Can’t have a Princess.
Now becoming Emperor, ministers advised the Emperor to hold a selection to fill the harem. After the Emperor confirmed that the stipends and expenses for these concubines wouldn’t come from his personal treasury, but rather the national treasury, he promptly agreed.
The food and expenses for his mother are also handled by the national treasury, but the Emperor, feeling he has freely enjoyed life for so many years while his mother endured so much, finds that too heartbreaking. Hence, the Emperor is particularly generous towards his mother.
"Mother, mother." Tianmiao was sitting on the chair, eating the tribute grapes, when the Emperor’s voice arrived before he appeared.
"Emperor, just finished court?" Tianmiao stood up, looking towards the Emperor jogging in through the door, revealing a kind smile, "Come quickly, I’ve already peeled the grapes and chilled them, have some."
"Here I am, here I am." The Emperor joyfully jogged in, feeling even happier inside, ah, my mother truly loves me. The Emperor first helped Tianmiao to sit before sitting down next to her, "Mother, did you sleep well last night? Is it comfortable living here?"
"Comfortable, finally acknowledging each other with my son, of course I slept well." Tianmiao’s current appearance was naturally not her original appearance, but that of the new Emperor’s real mother. Her appearance looks only in her thirties, as the new Emperor is nearing twenty, and the original persona gave birth to him at just sixteen or seventeen.
"That’s good, that’s good. Mother, later I will have them send you the honeydew melons that were tributed today. They should have been sent early this morning, but those ministers were arguing again in court." Hearing Tianmiao say this, the Emperor relaxed, "By the way, mother, the ministers were arguing about the selection matter. This matter, requires your assistance. After all, there’s no one in my harem."
