"Not yet," Dong Xiao replied.
Tianmiao smiled knowingly, and the scene in the Heavenly Mechanism Mirror changed again, revealing little Kong Hou hiding nearby watching Li Jiali’s family reunion.
"The little chubby girl doesn’t seem to want to come back yet," Tianmiao said with a smile.
"She really likes that human," Dong Xiao also smiled.
"Although the little chubby girl was born with the love of her entire clan, she has never felt motherly love. This human has allowed her to feel motherly love for the first time," Tianmiao said softly, smiling.
"Human lifespans are too short. If Kong Hou stays there, she’ll be sad later on," Dong Xiao said, lowering his voice.
"Yes, that’s why, it’s about time to bring her back," Tianmiao gently waved her hand, and the Heavenly Mechanism Mirror displayed an enlarged, angry face of Heavenly Dao.
"What exactly are you doing? What’s going on this time? You’re involving yourself far too much," Heavenly Dao glared in anger.
"Ah, I just saw a cute human, liked them a lot, and lent a helping hand," Tianmiao looked at Heavenly Dao’s angry face, not feeling guilty at all, and calmly replied, "Dad, I was wrong, don’t be angry."
"You’ll dare to do it again next time?" Heavenly Dao snorted coldly through his nose, glaring at Tianmiao.
Tianmiao smiled, not saying a word. Dad is just dad, he knows me too well.
"Alright, I won’t say more, I still have things to do. Don’t push yourself too hard. If you’re tired, go to a vacation world and rest for a while. If you don’t want to vacation, come back to see Dad," Heavenly Dao advised.
"Yes, I know Dad’s the best to me," Tianmiao said with a beaming smile, "I also like Dad the most."
"Alright, alright, I know," Heavenly Dao chuckled and cut off the transmission.
"Let’s go, jump to the next world," Tianmiao said, putting away her smile after Heavenly Dao ended the call, speaking to Dong Xiao. Many worlds are having issues, and although Dad doesn’t say it, Tianmiao knows this time the situation is quite tricky. By quickly repairing more worlds, she can ease her dad’s burden, so she’s unwilling to rest.
"What about Kong Hou?" Dong Xiao hesitated, then asked.
"You contact her; when she wants to come back, open the passage to receive her. Let her linger for some time on her own," Tianmiao instructed.
...
Kong Hou hadn’t shown herself, just watched Li Jiali’s family reunion silently.
Seeing the family reunite and live happily, Kong Hou felt at ease. However, sometimes she saw Li Jiali at night holding a plush bear and sighing deeply, which made Kong Hou feel a little stifled. Because that plush bear was sewn by Li Jiali for her.
So annoying, so annoying, why does this weak human care so much about me! Your daughter and husband have both returned, why are you still thinking about me? Kong Hou scratched her hair, grumbling silently in her heart.
The human life gradually returned to normal.
One night, while Li Jiali and Liang Ge were cooking dinner, their daughter was playing with toys in the attic. Suddenly, a chubby, cute girl appeared in front of her.
"Sister? Kong Hou sister?" The daughter stared wide-eyed at little Kong Hou. For some reason, her first instinct was that the person in front of her was the Kong Hou sister her mom talked about.
"What are you doing?" Kong Hou asked, looking down at the little girl sitting on the floor. Well, not really looking down from much of a height.
"I’m playing, sister play with me, sister keep me company," the little girl reached out to take Kong Hou’s small hand. Over the days, the little girl had finally regained some weight, no longer as emaciated as before.
