Riyala bowed her head as she continued.
"I... I don’t really have anyone else I can connect to emotionally. You’re everything to me, Jason. My father, my brother, my lover, my friend. Your opinion is the only one that matters to me. So I thought that maybe if I took Radagan to the next level and revolutionized it, then I could also have something you would be proud of. I want to make you proud of me."
Jason’s brows were furrowed in complete disbelief as he listened to everything Riyala said, and when she was done, Jason spoke in a voice that reflected the sheer disbelief inside him at that moment!
"But I love you, Riyala."
"I-I know. I just—"
Jason reached down to hold Riyala’s shoulder, and Riyala looked up at him in surprise as he continued.
"No, you don’t know. I said I love you, and I mean that. It doesn’t matter what sort of achievements you’ve had, or how many battles you’ve been in. The person I fell in love with is the girl who risked her life over and over again to save her people. The girl who ran into a dragon-infested forest and gave up all her worldly emotions to preserve her people’s future. That courage is what makes you who you are, and I would love you for that whether or not you have any achievements. Do you think I love Gina and Hesabeth just because of their achievements?"
"N-No! I never said that!"
Riyala immediately waved her hand desperately, and Jason let out a calm sigh as he reached out and ran his thumb over her cheek. Riyala had a guilty expression on her face like she had done something wrong by feeling this way, and Jason didn’t like that look at all. Jason spoke up.
"What you’ve done with Radagan is already amazing, Riyala. In less than a year, you’ve taken them from the brink of collapse to one of the fastest-growing economies in the sixth domain. You did this all on your own, and I don’t want you to lose sight of what you’ve accomplished while chasing after some perfect ideal. I’m proud of the you that’s in front of me right now. I always have been, and I always will be."
Riyala looked into Jason’s eyes, and in them she saw absolute sincerity. Jason was opening his heart to her right now and telling her how he truly felt, and Riyala felt her eyes getting wet as they swelled with tears. Jason smiled as he ran a thumb over Riyala’s cheek, and he exclaimed in mild surprise as Riyala jumped forward and tackled him in a hug!
"Thank you, Jason."
Riyala’s voice was filled with emotion, and Jason smiled as he held her close to him. Jason didn’t mind Riyala doing her best to try to make him proud, but Jason also didn’t want Riyala to damage her body by not resting properly. Riyala needed to find a balance somehow.
"Just try not to do everything by yourself from now on. Trust the people around you a little more."
Riyala placed a soft kiss on Jason’s lips before she sat on his lap and looked down at him with a smile while speaking.
"You know, it’s funny that you’ll say something like that. The last time I spoke to Gina, she said that you’ve been working nonstop for months now. You even went to deal with a problem in Hondura recently, didn’t you? That’s where you’re coming from, right?"
Jason clicked his tongue before reaching up to tickle Riyala softly. Riyala laughed while hugging Jason tighter, and Jason spoke with a playful smile.
"That’s completely different. The Hondura situation was causing problems for many merchants in the domain. I had to do something."
Riyala shifted on Jason’s lap so she was straddling him, and Jason couldn’t stop his eyes from travelling down towards Riyala’s exposed cleavage. Jason stared at the milky flesh with perverted intensity, and he nodded internally. Yeah, those definitely got bigger. Jason had seen those breasts many times, but for some reason, it felt like they had grown in the time since he last saw her! Jason was pulled out of his thoughts as Riyala leaned forward and took his face in her hands before speaking in a soft voice that showed genuine concern.
"You need to find time to relax as well, Jason. I understand that you’re the overlord and there’s a lot you have to do both for your world and the domain, but you’re still a man. Don’t let your strength blind you to your mortality."
Jason was actually surprised to hear something so deep from Riyala, and it was at that moment that Jason seemed to finally see the wise priestess that everyone had always been talking about. Whenever she was around him, Riyala was always so childlike and excited, so it was rare for Jason to see this side of her. But Jason’s grin just widened as he said:
"Doesn’t that mean I just have to become immortal?"
"Jason."
Riyala gave Jason a pouty look since she thought Jason wasn’t taking her seriously, but Riyala was surprised when she didn’t see any amusement in Jason’s eyes! Jason wasn’t joking!? Riyala felt another thrill of excitement go through her as she stared down at her mate! Jason was already one of the most powerful men in the known world, and Riyala knew that he could take over an entire domain with force if he wanted to! If Jason planned to become an immortal, then the only way to do that was by gaining the power of the Celestials! Riyala couldn’t even imagine how powerful Jason would be then!
A heat began to gather in Riyala’s stomach as she thought about her mate being that powerful, and Riyala slid herself forward on Jason’s lap before looking down at him with lidded eyes.
"You’re serious, aren’t you?"
"Of course I am."
Riyala smiled when she heard this, and she spoke softly.
"You’re the greatest man I’ve ever known, Jason. If anyone can do it, it’s you."
Riyala leaned forward and placed a deep kiss on Jason’s lips! Jason’s hand immediately went to Riyala’s behind, and he squeezed her ass through her mini skirt, and Riyala moaned as she pressed her breasts against Jason’s chest! Riyala felt something poking her ass through Jason’s trousers, and a thrill went through her body as she rubbed herself against Jason’s member! Jason’s hand travelled up from her ass to her back as he pulled her close, and Riyala gasped as Jason loosened the strip of cloth around her chest and allowed it to fall to the floor! The hot air rubbed against Riyala’s nipples, and Jason pulled back from their kiss before going down and taking a nipple in his mouth!
"Mmmh~!"
Riyala wrapped her hand around Jason’s head and moaned in pleasure, and Jason grabbed her other breast in his hand and squeezed while sucking! The sensations flowing through Riyala at that moment were almost enough to overwhelm her completely, and she began to rock back and forth on Jason’s lap as she humped his erect member! Jason’s other hand was on the curve of Riyala’s back, and he used it to guide her to go even faster as her breath started coming out in large puffs! Riyala put both hands on Jason’s shoulders and pressed her face into his hair as Jason’s member suddenly rubbed against a sensitive part of her crotch!
"Nnnghh~!"
A min orgasm shot through Riyala’s body as the sensations became too much for her, and Riyala let out harsh breaths as she slowly pulled back from Jason’s embrace.
