Watching Elizabeth's face suddenly lose color, followed by anger welling up in her blue eyes, Skyler felt bored and stood up.
"If there's nothing else, I'm leaving."
Skyler had barely taken a step when he sensed Elizabeth rising from her seat.
His eyes narrowed. If she dared to attack him, there was only one fate awaiting her.
Death.
A white glow gathered at his fingertips.
But the attack he expected never came.
Instead, a heavy thud sounded behind him.
Skyler paused and turned around.
Elizabeth was kneeling on the floor.
The cold composure she had maintained was gone. Her dignity, her pride, everything she had carried had been cast aside. Her eyes were red-rimmed as she looked up at him, her voice trembling with desperation.
"Please... I beg you, save him."
"I know you can..."
Skyler froze for a split second.
He bent down slightly, bringing himself closer to her eye level as he stared at her.
"This scene feels so familiar. I've seen it happen so many times... But why are you behaving so similarly to what I have seen?"
He put his hand under his chin.
His gaze was a bit out of focus.
"This is reality, right?"
Elizabeth couldn't understand what he was talking about. None of his words mattered to her right now. All she knew was that he was the only one who could save Damien.
So, she continued to beg.
Her voice growing increasingly desperate.
"Please... save him. I'll give you anything you want. Anything. Even my throne."
Skyler remained silent.
He stared at her for a long moment.
"So, someone as heartless as you would really go this far just to save one person. I almost thought I was still inside the trial."
His eyes slowly regained their clarity.
"That almost gave me a scare."
Standing up, he straightened his clothes.
"Stand up. I won't give you my heart's blood, but I'll save him. But there's a price. When he wakes up, all of his power will be gone."
Elizabeth immediately scrambled to her feet, her eyes finally lighting up with hope.
"That doesn't matter! As long as he wakes up, that's enough for me. Please, save him!"
Skyler started walking toward the door.
"Let's get it over with."
As he walked, he clicked his tongue, finally noticing the shabby attire he was wearing.
"Oh, and also give me all the money you have on you. I'm quite poor right now. It's a pity everything I acquired in the trial wasn't real. I'll need to buy a good house and a few other things if I want to live comfortably."
Elizabeth agreed without hesitation. As long as he could save Damien's life, she would give him anything he asked for.
They soon arrived at their destination.
However, Skyler didn't even spare the tall man on the bed a glance. He had seen the same scene far too many times before.
Damien's skin was covered in cracks, like fragile glass on the verge of shattering.
Skyler simply raised a hand.
A faint ripple of power swept through the room as he effortlessly stripped away the force sustaining Damien's condition. The moment the divine power in Damien's body vanished, so did the source of his suffering.
Immediately, the cracks spreading across his body stopped expanding. The old ones didn't heal, but Elizabeth could see that his worsening condition had finally stabilized.
Tears welled up in her eyes as she rushed toward the bed, quickly grabbing his hand.
Skyler didn't linger any longer.
After getting the money and storage ring that an elderly servant had brought him, he left the Royal Castle without looking back.
505 floated over and settled on his shoulder, forgetting its previous grudge.
The system remained silent for a while. Then, finally, it couldn't hold itself back.
"Host... you're still too kind."
"No, I'm not. I took his power."
In response, 505 sneered in disdain.
"Yeah, yeah. I believe you. If you are not, then why didn't you just kill him? Why save him? You didn't even kill Jenny. Not even Max! Why are you leaving just like that?"
Skyler's gaze remained completely calm.
"Too much hassle. I have killed them so many times in the trial. Now it's boring."
505 fell silent, then let out a sigh.
"Host has a point. They're far too weak. None of them could even compare to my pinky finger. It's really boring. Tsk, tsk."
Skyler ignored the little dragon. The two of them rented a luxurious suite in one of the city's best hotels near the Royal Castle and settled into a life of comfort and leisure.
Or rather, only the little dragon was truly enjoying it. While 505 lounged around and indulged in food and luxury, Skyler spent nearly every day exercising and running.
The body Skyler found himself in after returning to the real world was almost identical to his original one. There were only a few minor changes—he was taller, and his facial features had become more refined than before. By normal standards, he was already quite handsome. But to Skyler, they were still far too plain.
He couldn't accept that.
After all, his wife was so beautiful.
How could he possibly remain so plain?
With that thought in mind, Skyler worked even harder, very determined to transform himself into someone worthy of his wife.
Ahem... future wife.
While Skyler and 505 were immersed in their own lives, news of the Battle Royal's disappearance spread across the entire planet. The revelation shocked everyone.
Some celebrated the news. To them, the Battle Royal had always been a place of death and despair, forcing so many to risk their lives. With it gone, they finally believed they could live without constantly worrying about being dragged into a deadly place.
But not everyone was happy. Those who had relied on the Battle Royal to find rare resources, treasures, and opportunities to gain power and status were furious. The Dark Lights, especially, who had so many hidden bases within the Battle Royal, were going crazy with anger. They even tried to incite the public. It was just that no matter how much they protested, they possessed no power to undo or reverse the situation.
The crystals that had once linked their planet to other realms had vanished long ago, following the end of the Divine War.
Now, the Battle Royal was also gone.
Their world would soon change.
Deep down, everyone understood that.
The Battle Royal had been their greatest source of resources and opportunities for growth. Without it, advancing in strength would become far more difficult. Future Lights would have to rely entirely on what remained within their own planet. And that raised an even more frightening question.
What would happen when the resources within Eldoria were eventually exhausted?
If Eldoria could no longer provide enough energy or treasures to support the Lights' awakening, perhaps one day, the entire power system would gradually decline.
The powerful Lights who once stood above those without elemental power might grow weaker with each passing generation, until eventually, their strength faded entirely and everyone returned to being ordinary people.
It was a terrifying thought.
But that was a problem for the future.
For now, Eldoria simply had to accept the truth that the Battle Royal had ceased to exist and learn to move forward without it.
Still, amid the uncertainty, there was also plenty of celebration. The youngsters who had survived and returned from the 100th level of the Battle Royal were all hailed as the pride of Eldoria. After everything they had endured, their return became a symbol of a better future for Eldoria. Max, Austin, and the others quickly became famous.
Their names spread across the planet, praised by countless people who admired their strength, courage, and determination.
