Elias said nothing. He didn’t want to believe it. But these emails were hard to ignore.
For the first time, the doubt Vivian had tried to plant in his mind began to take shape.
"Recently, Noah signed a partnership agreement with a mid-cap company," Vivian continued. "That company is actually controlled by Orion Holdings."
Elias’s gaze hardened.
"Noah is actually working with Victor. They were partners. They are working together against you. And Elena..."
Vivian looked at him with feigned reluctance. "That’s where things become complicated."
She took a breath. "I don’t think Elena ever truly accepted you."
Elias’s eyes turned cold. "Choose your next words carefully."
Vivian immediately lowered her gaze. "I’m not trying to hurt you. I’m trying to make you see the truth."
She looked up again.
"Elena was raised by the Sinclair family. She loved Noah for years. Do you really think someone can simply erase that kind of love overnight?"
Elias didn’t answer.
"She may have married you, but that doesn’t mean her heart ever belonged to you."
"Enough." Elias’s voice was cold and deep.
But Vivian didn’t stop. "She pretended to fight with Noah. She made everyone believe their relationship was over. But what if that was only an act? What if it was all carefully planned so she could get close to you?"
Elias’s jaw flexed. He was losing his cool.
"She may have been using you." Vivian softened her voice, making herself sound sympathetic rather than accusatory.
"She knew the Sinclair Group was desperate for an opportunity to work with Novacrest Global. She also knew you refused to even give Noah an appointment."
She paused deliberately. "Perhaps getting close to you was simply another way for the Sinclair family to gain your favor."
Elias’s face became rigid.
Vivian watched him carefully. She knew she had to be cautious. One wrong word could make him shut her out completely.
"And when you refused to help Noah, they changed the strategy. They approached Victor Kane instead. Noah joined hands with Victor, and Elena became their inside source."
Elias looked down at the encrypted emails again. His heart felt strangely heavy.
He remembered Elena stopping him from destroying the Sinclair Group.
At the time, she had explained that the Sinclair family had raised her. She didn’t want Richard and Catherine to suffer because of Noah’s mistakes.
Elias had accepted her explanation. He hadn’t questioned it. But now, another possibility crept into his mind.
’What if that wasn’t the real reason? What if Elena had been protecting the Sinclair Group and Noah all along?’
"She fed him information from inside," Vivian said. "She wasn’t helping you build the project. She was helping your enemy steal it."
"No." The word came out of his mouth quietly.
"She is a spy, Elias." Vivian didn’t pause. "She betrayed the company. She betrayed you. Stop trusting her."
Elias refused to believe it.
Elena? Betraying him?
The woman who had stood beside him through everything.
The woman who had held him when he was vulnerable, smiled at him, loved him, and promised to stay by his side.
How could she deceive him? Could everything have been an act? Could their marriage have been nothing more than a carefully calculated move?
"She should be removed from the company immediately." Vivian’s voice cut through his thoughts. "And you should divorce her."
Elias remained silent. The doubt was visible in his eyes.
That was exactly what Vivian had wanted. The corners of her lips twitched with satisfaction, but she quickly concealed it beneath a sympathetic expression.
She crossed the distance between them and gently took his hands in hers.
"You deserve someone who loves you sincerely." She gently took his hands in hers. "Not someone who married you for her family’s benefit while secretly helping the man she truly loves."
Elias didn’t want to believe a word she said. But his mind was already in chaos.
He remembered Elena meeting Noah.
Elena had explained everything. She had told him she had no feelings left for Noah. She had insisted that she had only met him because she wanted to understand what he was planning.
Elias had believed her. He had trusted her completely.
But now...
He wasn’t sure what to believe anymore.
If Elena truly had no feelings left for Noah, why had she gone to meet him? Why had she stopped him from destroying the Sinclair Group? Why had Noah remained in contact with her? And why were they apparently communicating in secret?
The questions came one after another.
He hated every single one of them. He wanted to believe Elena without hesitation.
But the evidence was becoming harder to ignore.
’What if these emails are fake?’ The thought suddenly struck him.
Something flickered in his eyes.
’No. I can’t start suspecting Elena based on this alone. I need to know if these emails are real first.’
"Why are you silent?" Vivian asked. "What are you thinking?"
Elias didn’t reply to her.
"Elias... You shouldn’t be upset over someone like her." Her fingers tightened around his hand. "She isn’t worthy of you. You shouldn’t waste your emotions on a piece of trash like..."
Elias suddenly shoved her hand away.
Vivian stumbled backward.
"You should leave now." His voice was frighteningly cold.
Vivian froze.
The dangerous look in his eyes sent a shiver through her.
"Are you still going to defend her after all this?"
"I said leave," he roared.
Vivian flinched, her heart shaking. She could see nothing but anger in his eyes, and it frightened her.
She quickly picked up her composure.
"Remember these emails. She has never gotten over Noah. If you continue keeping her by your side, she will hurt you."
With that, she turned and hurried out of the office.
The door closed behind her.
Silence returned.
Elias’s eyes fell once again on the encrypted emails. He stared at them for a long moment before picking up the phone and calling Owen.
He needed answers. Not assumptions. Not manipulated evidence.
He would find out the truth himself.
And if the emails were fake, whoever had created them would pay dearly. But if they were real...
Elias tightened his grip on the phone. He couldn’t bring himself to finish the thought.
The call connected.
"Find out what Noah has been doing recently," Elias ordered in a cold, commanding voice. "I want to know whether he has any connection to Victor Kane or Orion Holdings."
"Sure, sir." After a moment of pause, Owen asked seriously, "What is the matter? You sound strained."
"I need you to investigate something. And I want you to be extremely thorough."
"What exactly should I look for?"
Elias held the file. "Come to my office, and you will know."
