Chapter 144: I can fulfil all your wishes.
After putting Leo to bed, Elena made her way to the master bedroom.
She stopped in the doorway.
Elias had just stepped out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped low around his waist. Tiny droplets of water traced slow paths down his sculpted chest and broad shoulders, catching the soft light of the room.
His damp black hair was slightly tousled, a few strands falling carelessly over his forehead, making him look even more devastatingly handsome.
His sharp jawline, straight nose, and perfectly sculpted features carried an effortless elegance, while his dark eyes remained fixed on her with unmistakable intensity.
The corners of his lips curved into a slow, knowing smile—confident, dangerous, and irresistibly seductive. He looked like temptation itself.
Elena paused in her tracks. This wasn’t the first time she had seen him like this. Yet every single time, her heart refused to behave.
His flawless physique made warmth spread across her cheeks, and every nerve in her body awakened. Unbidden memories of his warmth, his lingering kisses, and the comfort and passion she always found in his arms flooded her mind.
Before she realized it, her gaze drifted lower, lingering over the defined ridges of his abdomen before settling on the narrow V leading beneath the towel.
He was unfairly attractive and handsome.
Catching her lingering stare, Elias chuckled softly. Running his fingers through his damp hair, he raised a brow.
"Enjoying the view?" he asked in a husky voice, sounding seductive.
Only then did Elena realize she had been openly staring.
Heat rushed to her face.
"I..." No words came.
Elias closed the distance between them and gently caught her wrist.
Before she could react, he pulled her toward him.
Elena stumbled forward, both palms landing flat against his warm chest. She gasped while amusement flickered in his eyes.
His arms slipped naturally around her waist. Leaning close, he brushed a featherlight kiss on her neck right beneath her ear—the very place he knew always weakened her resolve.
A delicate shiver ran through her.
"You were thinking about something in the car," he murmured near her ear. "What was it?"
Elena’s cheeks grew even hotter. She remembered exactly what had crossed her mind then, but there was no way she could admit it aloud.
"I wasn’t thinking about anything," she whispered.
Elias smiled knowingly. He wasn’t convinced.
"I don’t believe you." His fingertips slowly traced along her arm, sending tiny sparks through her skin. "You kept looking at me as though you wanted to say something. Maybe..."
He paused deliberately, checking her expression. "You were thinking about touching me. Or..."
"No, I wasn’t." She shoved against his chest, trying to get away from him.
Elias, however, had no intention of letting her go. He kept her holding firmly.
"The way you looked at me," he murmured, lowering his forehead until it almost touched hers, "made me wonder what was going on inside that beautiful little mind of yours. I can fulfil all your wishes. You just have to tell me."
Elena’s heartbeat quickened. Could he really read her thoughts?
"Let me go."
She twisted free, but in her haste, her hand accidentally brushed against the knot of his towel.
The towel loosened. Before either of them could react, it slipped to the floor.
Elena’s eyes widened. For a heartbeat, she simply froze.
Then realization struck. A startled gasp escaped her lips as she spun around, covering her burning face with both hands.
"P-Pick it up," she exclaimed, mortified. "Wrap it around yourself."
Instead of doing as she asked, Elias laughed quietly. He stepped closer, not bothering about his naked self.
"You wanted this," he drawled with a mischievous smile on his lips. "You wanted to see me like this, didn’t you?"
As he spoke, he slipped his arms around her waist. The warmth of his embrace surrounded her.
Elena stiffened. Her heart was pounding like a war drum.
He pressed a kiss on her nape.
A wave of sweet shudders crashed throughout her. Every inch of her skin tingled.
Resting his chin lightly against her shoulder, he whispered teasingly, "You are the one who started this. If this is what you were thinking all the way, I’m ready for it."
"Elias..." Her voice came out embarrassingly soft.
He smiled against her hair. "You have no idea what you do to me," he whispered. "Every time you are close, it’s harder to think about anything else."
His hand found hers, their fingers naturally intertwining.
"You don’t even have to try," he continued quietly. "Just one look from you is enough to steal every bit of my self-control."
Elena’s whole body went rigid as she sensed his hard phallus pocking her back.
He wanted her, and she knew she couldn’t say no to him.
"I’ve fallen for you completely, Elena. Every day, I find another reason to love you even more."
The sincerity in his voice melted away the last of her hesitation.
Elena’s breathing grew uneven. How could she resist him when he looked at her like she was the only person in his world?
She dropped her head back against his shoulder, giving him access to her neck.
Seeing she was giving herself to him, Elias smiled. Without another word, he lifted her effortlessly into his arms and carried her toward the bed.
In just a few moments, Elena’s clothes were on the floor, scattered messily.
"Elias," she sighed, his name escaping her mouth as a whisper. "Right there. Don’t stop."
The next moment, her pleasure cries mingled with his groans.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
When Elena opened her eyes again, golden morning sunlight streamed through the curtains.
Elias was still asleep beside her.
She studied his peaceful face for a moment before a gentle smile spread across her lips.
"Good morning," she whispered, careful not to wake him.
’I need to get Leo ready for school.’
Moving quietly, she slipped out of bed.
She reached into the bedside drawer and picked up the strip of contraceptive pills she had always taken afterward.
But this time, her fingers paused.
She looked at the pills for a long moment before smiling softly.
’I don’t need these anymore. I want a baby... our baby.’
She dropped the strip into the trash bin before heading toward the bathroom.
A loud ringtone shattered the silence.
Elias stirred awake and blinked sleepily.
Elena was no longer beside him.
He reached for his phone and saw Owen’s number.
"Hello?"
"There has been movement," Owen reported. "Victor is meeting Cedric. We’ve confirmed it."
The warmth disappeared from Elias’s expression. He had long suspected the two were secretly working together, but until now, he had lacked concrete proof.
Now they had finally exposed themselves.
"Keep watching them," Elias ordered calmly. "Don’t lose them."
The call ended.
As he climbed out of bed, something in the trash bin caught his eye. Frowning, he bent down and picked it up.
It was the strip of contraceptive pills Elena always used.
His eyes widened slightly. The realization hit him almost instantly.
"She threw them away..." A broad smile spread across his face. "So... she is ready for a baby."
An overwhelming sense of happiness filled his chest. His family would be finally complete. At the same time, a fierce determination settled in his heart.
He would protect his family with everything he had. His gaze turned cold with resolve.
"I won’t let anyone threaten my family again. Anyone who tries will be removed before they ever get the chance."
