Chapter 1060: She Actually Did Something Like This!
For so many years, this kind of love had cut deep into the bones, and letting go was anything but easy.
Even without love, there ought to be some affection left.
Thinking this, Bo Chengyan’s eyes suddenly darkened, but he no longer felt any pity for her.
He hated her, hated her to the point that he did not want to think of her, did not want to care about that affection.
It was at this moment his phone rang. It rang for a long time before he finally took it out.
It was Cheng Xinlan calling.
He just looked at the screen, never answering, for a long, long time, the phone kept ringing.
In the end, Bo Chengyan still picked it up.
"Mom..." As the word "mom" left his mouth, his voice was already hoarse, as if squeezed from his throat, utterly devoid of any vitality.
Cheng Xinlan was incredibly worried and felt heartache, wiping away tears as she asked, "Son, where are you? Come home, please, don’t let us worry."
"I’m fine," Bo Chengyan’s eyes reddened as he looked up at the blue sky, slowly saying, "I just need to walk around by myself for a bit."
Cheng Xinlan kept crying relentlessly, sobbing violently until she finally said earnestly on the phone, "Son, mom knows the pain in your heart, all your efforts have been wasted, your father and I also feel pain, we very much regret adopting her, bringing such harm to our family.
But mom tells you, such a person is not worth any remembrance from you, if you still have her in your heart, even your mother will look down on you."
Bo Chengyan’s throat choked up, and after a long silence, he grunted in agreement.
Cheng Xinlan bit her lip and steeled her heart before directly saying, "After you left, you wouldn’t know. Do you know what she did?"
"What did she do?" asked Bo Chengyan, furrowing his brow.
Cheng Xinlan laughed, a laugh filled with scorn, "She actually had poisoned the juice long ago, attempting to make Gu Qibao have a miscarriage!"
"What?" exclaimed Bo Chengyan, alarmed, and hurriedly asked, "How is Qibao?"
"She’s fine," Cheng Xinlan replied, "Di Mingjue anticipated it, Gu Qibao didn’t drink that glass of juice, Di Mingjue had the juice tested, there’s solid evidence, and she was taken to the police station, the Di Family will sue her for premeditated murder."
Bo Chengyan’s face turned pale in an instant, premeditated murder.
Yes, a child is also a life, before it’s formed, only the parents can decide its fate, if someone else causes the loss of that child, isn’t that premeditated murder?
If there’s evidence, Bo Chengxin could indeed be prosecuted, and the prosecution could be successful, her charges of murder could be established.
He was a doctor, he knew about the matters concerning babies still in the womb.
Once, his hospital had such a medical malpractice case where someone injured a pregnant woman causing the fetus to miscarry, to become deformed.
In the end, the culprit was convicted, giving the pregnant woman’s family justice.
He never imagined Bo Chengxin would do such a thing, Bo Chengyan was instantly furious beyond measure.
Seeing that Bo Chengyan did not respond, Cheng Xinlan hastily added, "Son, mom is telling you this so that you would know just how toxic and viperous this woman is, not sparing even an innocent unborn child. Such a woman does not deserve a single moment of your sorrow. If you are still a man, then pick yourself up and come back home with your head held high, you are still a renowned doctor, still the pride of the Bo Family.
If because of this woman you fall into despair and act irrationally, let me tell you, our Bo Family does not need a son who lacks such backbone."
