Chapter 1045: The Obstinate Bo Chengxin
From the words of both Bo Ruijie and Cheng Xinlan, it wasn’t hard to deduce that the Bo Family had been more than generous with her, yet she remained unsatisfied.
Unsatisfied with not having married into the Di Family, unsatisfied that her adoptive parents did not help her, did not assist her in marrying smoothly into the Di Family.
Even when she implicated the Bo Family and felt no remorse, she still persistently complained and resented them, resenting the Bo Family for not being supportive enough to fulfill her wishes.
Such people were indeed rare, but they definitely existed.
These people, no matter what they did or thought, always believed themselves to be right, forever placing their own interests first.
If things didn’t go their way, they would resent blindly, blaming everyone around them, hating everyone around them, even cursing God and fate.
Bo Chengxin must have had psychological issues, perhaps it was paranoia, which made her become this way.
And so, people began to talk, "This Bo Chengxin must be sick, right?"
"I think so."
"Most likely."
"A mental illness, perhaps? Delusions? Paranoia?"
Bo Chengxin, of course, heard these remarks and in an instant, her eyes burned with a scarlet rage as she screamed uncontrollably, "You’re the ones who are sick, all of you are sick!"
Her extreme emotional reaction only made people more certain that she was ill.
Bo Ruijie was so frustrated that he felt a headache coming on and couldn’t help saying, "Hurry up, call security to get this woman out of here."
His reference to her had become ’woman’.
Bo Chengxin was deeply hurt.
But this wasn’t Bo Ruijie’s fault, nor anyone else’s; if blame were to be placed, it should be on her. She ostracized herself first, refusing to acknowledge her family, viewing everyone with enmity.
This included Bo Chengyan; she had always stubbornly believed she was entirely in the right.
From a young age, she liked Di Mingjue, what was wrong with that?
What was wrong with liking someone?
In pursuit of him, she tried everything, but he never once looked at her properly.
She wrote him many, many love letters, but he always rejected them, never even glancing at them.
She had always thought that as long as she pursued persistently and tirelessly, she would eventually gain love.
However, that one time she gave him a love letter, he still rejected her, pushing her hand holding the letter away mercilessly.
Her feigned stumble was to garner his sympathy and pity, but the price she paid was far more severe than she could have ever imagined.
She was hit by a car and lost the use of her legs, becoming disabled.
That year, she was at an age as beautiful as a blooming flower, yet received such a harsh blow.
However, fortunately, at least her sacrifice of her legs had won her the long-desired love.
At least Di Mingjue felt guilty towards her, would take care of her, would speak to her, even if not much; but their distance had indeed gotten closer.
Later, she gave up the chance to heal her legs, asking for a title in name only, even a fake one would suffice, for which she was willing.
She thought, perhaps with time Di Mingjue might get used to her, slowly it could turn into love, and then she could heal her legs.
But the appearance of Gu Qibao disrupted all of her plans, stripping her of the happiness she was about to grasp completely.
As a result, everyone blamed her, everyone said Gu Qibao was right, and she was wrong.
She wanted to ask, where exactly had she gone wrong?
Was it wrong to defend one’s love, to fight for one’s rights?
She, on the other hand, went from being the ’legitimate’ party to an outsider, only able to watch their happiness.
How could she be reconciled to this?
Never reconciled.
