Chapter 1025: She Must Be Dreaming
Alvin turned his head to give a gesture to the sound and lighting technicians.
Soon, the light and playful music filled the air, making everyone feel joyful and pleasing to the ear.
Gu Qibao held her face in her hands, "Wow, Brother Jin is so amazing."
Everyone else thought the same, and it was at this moment that Di Jinxuan realized that almost all eyes were on Nangong Jin.
Meanwhile, Nangong Jin shamelessly leaned on her shoulder, causing Di Jinxuan a slight embarrassment.
The profound sounds of the cello and the clear, tinkling tones of the piano merged together, lyrical and sentimental, yet lively and playful.
On the stage, Alvin seemed unconcerned with the gazes directed at him. He tapped his thigh to the rhythm of the music, and at just the right moment, he began to sing.
"Beautiful, you are so beautiful, like the angel, My angel" (You are so beautiful, just like an angel, my angel.)
"Beautiful, you are so beautiful like the moon, you are a girl, you are my woman" (You are so beautiful, just like the moon, you are a girl, you are my woman.)
"Beautiful, you are so beautiful like the sun, lighting my heart" (You are so beautiful, just like the sun, setting my heart on fire.)
"Beautiful, you are so beautiful like the star, illuminate my life" (You are so beautiful, just like a star, illuminating my life.)
"You are so, so beautiful, like, like my angel, you are my, my girl. Am loving you" (You are so so beautiful, just like just like my angel, you are my girl, I love you.)
"Am loving you" (I love you.)
"You are, you are so beautiful." (You are so so beautiful.)
"You are, you are my angel." (You are, you are my angel.)
"Am loving you" (I love you.)
Alvin’s voice was crisp and pleasant, incredibly sweet with not a hint of impurity. Such murmured singing coming from his mouth was shockingly lovely.
As he continued to sing, Alvin stepped down from the stage and approached Gu Qibao, bowing like a gentleman and offering his hand, "beautiful, you are so beautiful, like the angel, My angel." (You are so beautiful, just like an angel, my angel.)
Gu Qibao felt somewhat embarrassed and smiled shyly, glancing at Di Mingjue.
Di Mingjue nodded to indicate that she needn’t worry, and Gu Qibao, in a friendly manner, extended her little hand.
Alvin sang tenderly as he lifted Gu Qibao’s hand, "You are my angel." (You are my angel.)
After finishing the line, he politely kissed the back of Gu Qibao’s hand with graceful elegance.
Being watched by everyone, Gu Qibao was somewhat embarrassed, but the people didn’t find it awkward; they were rather envious.
As the second verse repeated, Alvin sang as if whispering to a lover, sweeping across the audience and passing by the girls without pausing.
That tender tone, combined with the playful music, left many young maidens utterly infatuated, unable to resist humming along.
Then, to everyone’s surprise, he came beside Di Jinxuan and knelt down on one knee, gazing at her with deep affection.
"Wow..." Many women covered their mouths, screaming in sheer envy.
They wished they could shout out, "Di Jinxuan, step aside, let me do it!"
Of course, Di Jinxuan was also a little startled.
Kneeling on one knee is a fairly significant gesture in the Empire, but in foreign countries, it’s simply an expression of gentlemanly etiquette.
Di Jinxuan understood this, but she was still taken aback, feeling a rush of surprise.
During her previous competition abroad, she had the fortune to learn that Alvin was a judge. She had wanted his autograph but only managed to chase after his silhouette before being sent back by his bodyguards.
But now, he was kneeling before her, singing "My angel" with such heartfelt emotion. Was she dreaming?
