Chapter 1021: A Good Show
Upon witnessing such a scene, Shen Yilan and Bo Chengxin became so jealous that they panicked, not knowing it was Nangong Jin who had arranged it, and assuming it was Di Mingjue.
How could they not be jealous?
A superstar, the Dance King, who is also a prince of B Country’s royal family, was specially performing at such a private party. The impact of his presence was, needless to say, staggering.
Aside from their overwhelming jealousy, there was nothing they could do.
The emcee was blabbering on, trying to stir up the atmosphere, but people were already impatient.
They started heckling, "Stop the nonsense and get on with it!"
The emcee feigned embarrassment, "It seems this stage is no longer mine. Alright, now let us welcome our esteemed guest, Prince Alvin, to perform for us."
A prince performing, damn, that’s just awesome, the whole place immediately erupted in excitement.
But to everyone’s surprise, Nangong Jin was the first to walk on stage, leaving the audience stunned. What’s happening?
Would the young master of the Nangong Family really dance with Alvin?
Instantly, the anticipation grew even greater; oh my, this was shaping up to be a musical feast of epic proportions.
Witnessing such a performance in one’s lifetime was truly worthwhile.
But Nangong Jin walked over to the band, said a few words to the drummer.
The drummer nodded, stood up, and gave his seat to him.
There was a professional band on the scene, a very professional one, and the set of drums in front of Nangong Jin was worth tens of thousands, ensuring superb sound quality.
Nangong Jin sat down and everyone’s eyes widened, wow, could the third young master of the Nangong family also play an instrument?
Playing the drums seemed so cool and badass.
With all eyes on him, Nangong Jin adjusted the stool, then gestured an OK sign to the lighting technician backstage.
The stage lights dimmed, and since the banquet hall was quite large and relied mostly on artificial lighting, there wasn’t much natural light to begin with.
With the sudden darkening, even though the effect wasn’t equivalent to a professional concert hall, it was nonetheless impressive.
The actual performance was about to start, and people began to feel nervous, their hearts racing in anticipation of the upcoming shock.
A beam of light shone on Nangong Jin, who was dressed in a white shirt, sitting there as elegant and noble as a prince.
His extraordinarily stunning features nearly took everyone’s breath away.
People didn’t dare to blink as they stared at him.
He wasn’t the least bit nervous, he flipped his drum sticks into the air, they spun beautifully, and landed back in his hands, and he immediately struck the cymbals with a clang.
Clang, clang, clang, the sound was crisp and pleasing, with a very strong rhythm.
It started off slow, bit by bit, then gradually sped up, resembling an opening crescendo.
The rhythm instantly caught the crowd, who felt like their hearts were being tickled; they grew even more impatient.
Suddenly, he threw the drum sticks and firmly pressed down on the bass drum; with a loud bang, the thick resonance of the drum set boomed out.
At that moment, the band’s other instruments also joined in, playing a lively and explosive rhythm, the powerful throbbing beat was absolutely on point.
The crowd was instantly enthused, fantastic, so pleasing to hear, so full of passion.
Then, the beam of light shifted from Nangong Jin and directly hit the center of the stage. To the audience’s amazement, Alvin had already been standing in the center of the stage, his back facing the crowd.
Only then did the people realize, so captivated were they by Nangong Jin that they hadn’t noticed Alvin had already arrived on the stage.
