"How do you also have one?" His words removed all doubts, although there was no doubt anyway.
There really was an Otherworldly among them and in their tribe. They probably considered him their hero, protector, or their weapon.
Lian got down from One and calmly walked forward between the two groups. The Varkesh soldiers readied their weapons.
He looked directly at Kharvek.
"Before I kill all of you, go tell the one who helped you yesterday to come here."
For a moment, there was silence. Then Kharvek laughed, a loud and contemptuous laugh.
"Who do you think you are?" He pointed at the soldiers behind him.
"Do you think you’re as strong as our hero?" Arrogance was completely visible in his eyes.
He did not seem worried at all. It was true that their enemy tribe had also found an Otherworldly like them, but so what?
He had no doubt that their hero was completely unique! And no one was even close to her, even if this one was from the same species as their hero, that did not mean he had power equal to their hero.
Their hero had been able to single-handedly subdue and defeat their entire tribe.
For this reason, he was not worried at all...
Their hero is a woman.
Lian only gave him an indifferent look, and Kharvek raised his hand.
"Kill him."
The soldiers moved. Spears came forward, axes were raised, bows were drawn, but before the first strike could be completed, Lian disappeared.
The first soldier only felt something hit his chest.
Lian’s fist shattered the stone armor. The force passed through the shell and crushed the ribcage bones.
The soldier’s body was lifted off the ground and crashed into the row behind him.
Lian passed by the second soldier. The edge of his palm hit his neck, the sound of breaking bones was heard.
The body did not even have time to react before falling.
The third soldier only saw a shadow, then Lian’s knee hit his stomach, and the armor bent from the middle.
The creature was thrown several meters into the air. From the Varkesh’s view, what happened was not a battle.
It was people disappearing. Every time the sound of an impact was heard, one person would fall to the ground.
A spear was still in the air when its owner was no longer standing. An axe was raised, but the arm broke from the joint before it could come down.
Blood splashed on the ground, armors cracked, and bodies fell one after another.
One of the archers wanted to release an arrow, Lian appeared in front of him, and his fingers landed on the string.
He pulled the bow from his hand and with the same wood, shattered his jaw. Two soldiers attacked from both sides, and Lian ducked.
The spears passed over his head. He struck their sides with two simultaneous punches, and both bodies were thrown in opposite directions.
Averian and the Lacerian soldiers watched motionlessly.
They had heard Ravian’s story, but hearing was different from seeing. Lian, without a massive skill, without a weapon, and without any apparent effort, had shattered the Varkesh force in a few seconds.
Was this really a power that a two-legged creature could achieve?
Their eyes sparkled with excitement because they realized that they also now had a hero and savior!
In less than ten seconds, most of the soldiers were on the ground.
Some dead, some with broken bones, some unconscious.
Lian deliberately kept four people unharmed. Not out of mercy, but to deliver a message. Kharvek had just come out of his shock when a shadow appeared in front of him.
He wanted to raise his axe, but Lian grabbed his wrist. He squeezed, and the bone broke.
Kharvek screamed.
But Lian struck his foot behind his knee. The Varkesh leader fell to the ground, and before he understood what had happened, his face was in the dirt.
Lian’s foot was placed next to his skull. A little pressure was applied, and the shell beside Kharvek’s head cracked.
"You thought I was joking with you?" He then said calmly and coldly.
Kharvek’s pride crumbled at that moment. His breath was broken, and his eyes were darting around with pure terror.
His soldiers were on the ground. The force he had brought to threaten the Lacerians was destroyed in a few seconds.
He couldn’t even understand what had happened at all... just a few seconds ago he was sitting on his riding beast, but now?
He, the leader of the great Varkesh tribe, was on the ground and being dragged in the dirt under the foot of an outsider! How could such a thing be possible?
How had all his soldiers been killed in a few seconds?
Are all the damn Otherworldlies this powerful? Why are all of them this powerful? This is the second time he is experiencing exactly this kind of humiliation!
Lian increased the pressure of his foot a little more, and Kharvek screamed.
"Go!"
The four remaining soldiers were still in shock and didn’t move until Kharvek shouted with a louder voice.
"Go bring the hero!"
His breath trembled.
"Right now!"
Three soldiers quickly ran toward the tribe. The fourth was wounded and couldn’t go with them.
Lian didn’t remove his foot from Kharvek’s head. A heavy silence formed around the basin.
A bone-chilling cold and fear had taken over Averian and his tribe’s soldiers. Until now, they had thought their tribe’s guest was a calm and ordinary person.
But what they had just seen was terrifying, so much so that they might even have nightmares about it...
A bone-chilling cold ran down their spines... just hearing Lian’s cold and soulless voice made their hair stand on end!
The shallow water of the Silvervein was flowing calmly.
The wounded Varkesh didn’t dare to move. The Lacerian soldiers were still trying to process what they had seen.
After a while, the sound of footsteps was heard from the eastern path.
Not the sound of a large army, not drums, but only a few soldiers moving with distance from a person in the center.
The woman came out from among the roots. She was tall, and her beauty was cold and almost unnatural.
Her long silver hair was flowing over her shoulders and back, moving in the wind with her calm movement.
Her eyes were completely black, deep, and without any human warmth.
She wore light, tight, dark armor, built for speed and freedom of movement, not heavy defense.
A thin sword was at her waist. Her face was completely devoid of emotion.
No concern for the Varkesh corpses, no anger at seeing Kharvek under Lian’s foot, and no surprise at the massacre that had occurred before her.
She calmly came forward.
But when her black gaze fixed on Lian, for the first time, a small change occurred on her face. Her eyes sparkled slightly with joy.
Her eyebrow rose very subtly. It wasn’t fear, it wasn’t anger, but actually something like interest or excitement that had briefly emerged from behind that emotionless face.
Lian still kept his foot on Kharvek’s head, and then with a calm smile, he looked at the silver-haired woman.
"I’m glad to see you again so soon, Seris."
