Chapter 1177 - 682: Iron Hammer Workshop
Dwarf Lisi glanced at Alfi, without taking what he offered.
Waving his hand, Lisi said casually:
"No need for that, it’s been a hassle for you all along the way."
"It’s not easy to get to Lonely Mountain City, I plan to explore by myself first, let’s part ways here!"
"This... alright!"
Alfi was slightly taken aback and said regretfully.
Watching Lisi’s departing figure, Alfi put the box in his hand away and sighed regretfully.
Not being able to give the gift made Alfi somewhat disappointed, as he wanted to deepen his relationship with Lisi.
But there was nothing he could do about it.
After all, this was a powerful Golden Rank dwarf, and most likely a forging master.
Such a presence is quite important to the Mithril Trade Association.
Along the way, in conversation with Lisi, Alfi learned that he had previously stayed in his hometown, Bo’er City.
This time, he wanted to come to the Dwarf King’s Capital City of Lonely Mountain to see the sights, which was why he joined their caravan midway.
For the Hernandez Kingdom Mithril Trade Association, which has close ties with the Dwarf Kingdom, befriending each dwarf forging master is extremely important.
It could bring considerable benefits to the guild and the kingdom.
That’s also why Alfi catered to Lisi so much along the way.
Meeting a potential dwarf master halfway is a stroke of luck that really excited Alfi.
But unfortunately, although this dwarf looked relatively young, he wasn’t moved.
He didn’t even accept the gift...
Alfi sighed regretfully and shook his head.
Dealing with dwarfs is like that; they are seldom interested in other things.
Unfortunately, on this business trip, Alfi didn’t bring any precious magic metals.
Those in the caravan were to be delivered to the Dwarf Royal Court, and he didn’t dare to appropriate them.
At least for now, he’s acquainted with Lisi. If Lisi becomes famous in Lonely Mountain City later, he could use this acquaintance as a pretext to reconnect.
He could then look to see if he can establish cooperation.
Alfi took another look at the majestic Lonely Mountain City in the distance, withdrew his gaze, and continued to lead the caravan forward.
...
Lis, also known as Dwarf Lisi.
Stepping into the Dwarf King’s Capital City of Lonely Mountain, looking at this magnificent city, he felt a bit emotional.
This Dwarf King’s Capital was rarely reached by players in his previous lifetime because the city is located at the heart of the Jianuo Mountain Range, requiring crossing high mountains to get there.
Lis’s reason for transforming into the Black Iron Dwarf Lisi and coming here was straightforward: to obtain the Legendary Ring.
He had acquired Sarmekhale’s copper ring from the Dwarf Legend Matthias and from it, obtained clues about Matthias’s Magic Ring, his most powerful creation.
It was located in the Molten River at the core of Sotiga Volcano!
Sotiga Volcano is not far west of the Dwarf King’s Capital, and the gigantic all-black volcano can be seen from the Dwarf King’s Capital.
The reason the Dwarf Kingdom established its capital here was partly because of this volcano.
As dwarves who see forging as life, the environment provided by volcanic lava for forging is unmatched elsewhere.
Sotiga Volcano is a powerful and hot active volcano, but under the seal of the Dwarf Gods’ divine power, it has never erupted violently, only slowly flowing with red-hot molten rivers.
This is simply an ideal forging site for dwarves, with many of them building exclusive forging workshops at Sotiga Volcano to leverage the high temperatures of the lava in metal forging.
Lis had been to Sotiga Volcano before but never entered the core area of the volcano.
That is a forbidden zone of the Dwarf Kingdom; only dwarf forging masters are permitted to enter.
Lis wanted to delve into the core of Sotiga Volcano to find the hidden Legendary Magic Ring of Matthias but needed to put in some effort.
Yet, there was no other way.
The reason Lis disguised himself as a dwarf was partly to hide his identity and avoid being detected early by believers of the Evil God.
Although it has been a year since the battle in the small world of the Mist Wilderness, and Lis’s Life Return skill had cooled down.
If Evil God believers discovered him, attracting their targeting would create some trouble for Lis.
On the other hand, Lis estimated that even as a Legend, Sotiga Volcano, being the Holy Land of the Dwarf Kingdom, might be difficult to infiltrate the core location.
Because besides providing an excellent forging place for dwarf craftsmen, Sotiga Volcano is said to be the birthplace of the God of Lava, Flame, and Forging, Sarmekhale.
Matthias was also born from this volcano.
So it holds extraordinary significance for the Dwarf Kingdom.
Both the Dwarf Royal Court and the Dwarf Temple might have sufficient defenses set up in Sotiga Volcano, with Legendary entities guarding it, which is a normal scenario.
Although Lis is confident that he can break through the blockade here, it doesn’t mean he can locate Matthias’s Magic Ring quickly.
If he failed, the Dwarf Kingdom might raise its guard.
For Lis to try again would become very troublesome.
So, if Lis could sneak in beforehand, find the exact location of Matthias’s Magic Ring, and then try to forcibly take it, the success rate would greatly increase.
