Chapter 1174 - 680: Plans for the Future (Part 2)
As the entire Gaia Main World focused on the small world opened by the [Phillips Crystal], one small world was directly destroyed due to the battles between several legendary figures.
Such events would easily attract the attention of other forces.
What’s more, in this instance, multiple forces including Lis as a World Tree Favored, the Church of the Gods, Evil God believers, and the Elf Kingdom, were all swept into the affair.
The impact was predictable.
The milestone obtained this time directly granted Lis 2 points of World Legend Level, something unprecedented up to now.
Moreover, Lis noticed that the introduction of this milestone described this battle as the [fuse] for the full-blown confrontation between the Church of the Gods and Evil God believers.
This was something Lis had not anticipated.
However, he was not surprised.
Truthfully, even without Lis’s involvement this time, it wouldn’t have taken long for a full-scale confrontation between the Church of the Gods and Evil God believers to break out.
This is also the climax of the 3.0 main storyline.
Soon, the [Phillips Crystal] would forcibly open the small worlds occupied by the Extraordinary forces.
Among them are small worlds of the Church of the Gods, small worlds of Evil God believers, and small worlds of other Extraordinary forces in the Main World.
These small worlds are essentially the backyards of other Extraordinary forces.
No faction expected that their small world would be opened like this, like having a "backdoor" opened directly into their own backyard.
The critical issue is that this "backdoor" cannot be closed.
This is quite troublesome!
Since this situation was not anticipated, almost all Extraordinary forces possessing small worlds were frazzled and quickly organized forces to expel the invading outsiders from their small worlds.
Given such an opportunity, those forces would also take the chance to "conveniently" cause some trouble for rival forces while guarding their own small worlds.
And among the forces that have been bitter enemies as fire and water for countless years, the Church of the Gods and Evil God believers are the two most fiercely and cruelly opposed in this confrontation.
Now, Lis has become the trigger for the conflict between the two sides.
Though this comes as a surprise for Lis, it’s not necessarily a bad thing for him.
At least, it will make the Church of the Gods pay attention to the activities of the Evil God believers; even if they don’t arrange people to protect him, they will distract some of the formidable believers, providing Lis with some assistance.
Instead, wait until the cooldown of [Life Return] is complete before going back!
Lis has some plans he wants to implement for the upcoming opened small worlds.
Thinking of this, Lis shook his head.
From now on, powerful figures in the Gaia Main World will continue to emerge, and more and more strong beings will appear before players.
However, the current Lis is different from the one in the past; having killed a Legendary Strongman, he has also become a top-tier strongman in the world, so serious to players.
There’s still so much to be done~
As for the subsequent skills, they are quite ordinary for Lis.
Among the three skills of [Ten Thousand Beasts Avatar], [Painful Whip], and [Hunting Badge], [Ten Thousand Beasts Avatar] is the most powerful.
Lis, who possesses many avatar skills, can enhance the strength and ability of his avatars through [Ten Thousand Beasts Avatar].
However, this skill also has a significant negative effect.
To enhance avatar’s abilities, it requires digesting demon spirits, and if not fully digested, the participating demon spirits will influence Lis’s spirit.
Lis will not use this skill until he ensures that this hidden danger is resolved.
[Painful Whip] very much carries the style of Abuse Goddess Lavita.
Lis had previously experienced that soul-tearing pain in battles, but when facing strong opponents or enemies with firm wills, its effects are relatively ordinary.
At least, previously, Lis was not largely affected.
[Hunting Badge] is Luun’s skill, which seems to be a simplified version of Hunting Divine Skill.
The effect looks decent, but without the buff of Hunting Divine Power, it’s hard to say how effective it can be.
Lis glanced at the system interface and invested all the newly obtained experience points into leveling up.
As he felt the strength continually surging within his body, Lis, enduring the painful impacts, began recalling the deficiencies in his previous battles.
To be honest, this is the first time he truly felt the might of those who tread the Path to Divinity.
In Lis’s eyes, Luun already had a sense of being transcendental and holy.
It’s as though he’s genuinely climbing the divine ladder step by step, constantly transforming into a Divine.
And in terms of strength, this feeling became more evident.
For instance, Juliana and Holmes, although quite powerful, Lis’s ability could still effectively impact them.
However, whether it’s Lis attacking Luun or enduring Luun’s attack, the apparent suppression from a higher power made Lis quite uncomfortable.
Moreover, Lis couldn’t find a way to more effectively attack Luun, only able to continually maneuver against him.
Luun, on the other hand, wasn’t in a hurry, seemingly assured of capturing Lis.
It was in this situation that Lis found an opportunity to take down Juliana in one swoop.
Even though he escaped the peril, Lis couldn’t come up with a way against Divine Son Luun.
After this, Lis thought it better to look for a solution to this problem.
Treading the Path to Divinity does not signify absolute power!
Take for instance [Judgement Flame] Stephens.
Lis can be sure that although Divine Son Luun is powerful, he is definitely not a match for Mr. Stephens.
Meaning, there must be a solution!
Lis, on one hand, is attempting to use the Arcane Avatar to practice the [Sphinx Ascension Technique], continuously advancing on the Path to Divinity.
On the other hand, through arcane research, Lis aims to find a way to address this issue.
It would be nice to get in touch with Mr. Stephens!
Lis shook his head.
No one knows what kind of trouble Mr. Stephens is in right now, disappearing for such a long time.
However, the soul mark left by Stephens in the Bright City’s Magic Workshop is still there, so Mr. Stephens himself should be fine.
Nevertheless, Lis is curious about what kind of predicament could trap someone most adept in Space Magic like Stephens?
Could it be an entity above the Divines intervening?
Even if the Divine stepped in, Mr. Stephens should have been able to escape, even if defeated.
Or is there another reason?
Lis pondered for a moment and then stopped his wandering thoughts.
The realm of Mr. Stephens is still too distant for Lis to reach, and thinking too much is of no use.
After completing the level-up, Lis stood up and moved his body.
Feeling the increasingly powerful magic power within, Lis nodded in satisfaction.
It’s best not to rush back to Kane Floating City during this period.
The current situation is rather complex, and returning to the Floating City might even attract the attention of Evil God believers,
It’s better to hide for now and wait for those Evil God believers to be drawn away by the Church of the Gods.
If that happens, Lis’s actions will be much safer.
At that point, Lis can not only more flexibly exploit opportunities, but also keep an eye on the confrontation between the Church of the Gods and Evil God believers.
Look for a chance to strike proactively!
He’s not someone who suffers losses quietly.
Since the Evil God believers have given such a big gift to him, Lis naturally wants to seize an opportunity for revenge.
Currently, he may not be a match for Divine Son Luun, but it doesn’t mean he has to trouble that guy now.
There are many Evil Gods, many Evil God Churches, and many Evil God believers, just picking any to eliminate serves justice!
As for the Hunting Divine Son Luun, he’ll leave that for his future self to address!
After organizing his future plans, Lis did not rush to continue recovering his status or delve into closed-door research.
He quickly contacted Joyce, Risa, Morris, and Adela, informing them of his current situation and plans.
Simultaneously, Lis also gathered information about the current situation from them.
As expected, the Evil God believers indeed sent a considerable number of personnel, blocking all the backup meant to rescue Lis.
Because of this, the Evil God believers paid a huge price.
With the plan falling short and the Hunting Ceremony failing, one could only wonder how furious Divine Son Luun would be?
