Chapter 1138 - 662: The Hunting Ceremony of Evil God Believers (Part 2)
Even among the followers of the Evil God, strength is the fundamental basis for having a say.
"So, is what you said true?"
Holmes looked at Lune, nodded, and said.
Several Legends gathered here naturally had a purpose.
"Of course, isn’t this what you’ve always hoped to do?"
Upon hearing this, Holmes was silent for a moment and said:
"I certainly hope so, but I also understand that the chances aren’t great."
"Kvedo almost died at the hands of his teacher, Judgement Flame Stephens, and he still hasn’t recovered in My Lord’s Divine Country."
"Now that Lis has achieved legendary status, making a move on him has become quite troublesome."
Holmes said in a low voice:
"If he’s hiding in that Floating City, we have absolutely no chance."
The Master of Ten Thousand Beasts is a rather ancient deity, so the All Beast Church has detailed records about Floating City.
Furthermore, Holmes had carefully observed the Kane Floating City from a great distance and was very sure that, just like the previous information obtained, that Floating City had returned to normal.
In other words, without more than a dozen Legends, it would be difficult to breach this powerful Floating City.
Not to mention that Holmes already knew that Lis had the support of other Legends around him.
Especially his teacher, although he hadn’t made a move for a long time, since that incident, no one dared to offend him anymore.
The All Beast Church’s Bloodthirsty Beast Kvedo returned severely injured, while the Death Bird Garcia directly fell at the hands of this master.
These two were not ordinary Legendary strongmen, yet they still had no resistance against Stephens.
Especially for some unknown reason, this Judgement Flame suddenly began roaming around the Gaia Main World, sweeping through all the hidden strongholds of the Endless Abyss Demons.
The relationship between the Evil God believers and the Abyss Demons is quite intertwined; many Evil God believers have also died at the hands of Stephens this time.
So, the Evil God believers have a rather "deep" understanding of this Legend.
Upon hearing the name of Judgement Flame Stephens, not just Holmes, but even Lune and Julian were silent for a moment.
In their eyes, there was a deep sense of apprehension.
After a moment, Lune slowly said:
"This time, there’s no need to worry about the Judgement Flame."
"He’s indeed caught up in quite some trouble right now and can’t extricate himself in the short term."
What?
The eyes of Holmes and Julian instantly turned to Lune, showing some surprise.
Is the Judgement Flame Stephens trapped?
This is extremely important information!
"Is this information reliable?"
Holmes looked at Lune and said with a solemn expression:
"The Judgement Flame is most skilled in Space Magic; it’s extremely hard to trap him."
"I don’t want the plan to proceed halfway and suddenly have to face him."
"The specifics are Hidden, and I won’t disclose them."
Lune glanced at Holmes and Julian, and said in a flat tone:
"I’m certain the information is true. Even I would not want to face the Judgement Flame."
To be able to trap the Judgement Flame, could it be that a Divine Level entity made a move?
Holmes felt relieved, as he couldn’t think of any other possibility to trap the Judgement Flame.
Even so, when mentioning the Judgement Flame, Lune’s eyes showed not only apprehension but also a hint of fervor.
If he could successfully hunt the Judgement Flame, he might directly reach the endpoint of the Path to Divinity, right?
This is the core secret of the Hunting domain: continually hunting the strong, and succeeding in the hunt yields more feedback of Strength.
This is also why the God of Hunting believers are keen on going everywhere to attack the powerful and prestigious.
Now, as the Divine Son of the God of Hunting, Lune has made Lis his new hunting target.
Making Lis the sacrificial object of his Hunting Ceremony!
Lis achieved legendary status not long ago, logically he shouldn’t become Lune’s target.
But Lis is truly exceptional.
Pupil of the Judgement Flame, controller of the Kane Floating City, either identity makes Lis quite special among the Legends.
Moreover, he is the fourth World Tree Favored to appear.
In the eyes of many who know Divine secrets, Lis at least has the potential to achieve Powerful Divine Power.
Thinking of hunting such an existence made Lune feel a bit feverish all over.
If he could successfully hunt Lis, the benefits might not be less than hunting the Judgement Flame, right?
At this thought, a flush crept onto Lune’s handsome and mature face; licking his lips, his body began to tremble slightly.
The extreme desire for slaughter burned brightly in Lune’s mind, nearly making him moan aloud.
Holmes and Julian noticed Lune’s abnormality, but they were accustomed to it and said nothing.
Among the Evil God believers, Lune behaving like this was already considered quite normal.
"The World Tree Favored, huh, that’s an extremely rare treasure, and quite handsome too."
"If possible, could he become my new slave? Hee hee~"
"Whipping him one lash at a time, hearing his screams, that would be an incredibly delightful experience~"
Julian murmured in a syrupy voice, unabashedly revealing her peculiar taste.
"If you’re not afraid of being hunted down by the Judgement Flame for life, then go ahead."
Holmes glanced at the girl, speaking calmly.
"...I was just kidding, my dear Shepherd Leader~"
Julian paused slightly, then continued with a lovely smile:
"Or are you jealous, my dear Shepherd Leader?"
"Hmph!"
Holmes snorted coldly, then decided to remain silent.
He had no wish to be ensnared by this troublesome woman.
In fact, all three of them understood that if this plan to hunt Lis succeeded, Lis had to die.
No other possibility existed!
The Shepherd Leader of the All Beast Church aimed to kill Lis, to wash away the shame he brought upon the All Beast Church.
The God of Hunting’s Divine Son Lune wanted to complete the hunt of a World Tree Favored to advance further.
The Abuse Goddess’ Divine Envoy Juliana had a simpler motive, purely to satisfy her desires while eliminating an unripe formidable enemy of a God believer.
As the World Tree Favored, even if Lis stagnated in the future, not abandoning the path of the Arcanist for Ascension, he could at least reach the stage of the Land of Judgment in the future.
After some brief sharing, Holmes looked at Lune and said:
"Since you devised this plan, you should understand that if he stays in the Floating City, even invoking Divine Descendence might not kill him."
"Then we wait!"
"Wait for the day he’s away from the Floating City!"
Lune said decisively, his eyes filled with coldness.
Success in hunting prey not only relies on strength, but also the indispensable patience needed to wait for a kill shot.
And as a top Hunter, Lune was not lacking in this patience.
"Even so, I don’t think the three of us can surely take down Lis."
"Moreover, there are other Legends."
Holmes said heavily.
He suddenly wanted to immediately kill Lis, but if he failed, it would be problematic.
"Of course, it’s not just us who’ll take action."
Lune nodded, then composed himself before saying:
"The World Tree Favored pose a threat to us, so others will act as well."
"They will ensure to stop Lis’ allies from coming to his rescue; as for killing Lis, leave that to us."
Saying this, Lune cast a glance at Holmes:
"What level of Avatar are you sending this time?"
"Hundred Beasts Level."
Holmes nodded, not caring about Lune’s words in the slightest.
This is the most unique ability of the All Beast Church, inherited from the Master of Ten Thousand Beasts; only a few within the All Beast Church are qualified to receive the inheritance.
However, only the Master of Ten Thousand Beasts could reach the Ten Thousand Beasts Level.
Even so, Holmes’ Hundred Beasts Level Avatar has an extremely formidable body, making it a very powerful combat and survival ability at the Legendary Rank.
Not only is its combat capability strong, but it can also transform into hundreds of Fierce Beast Spirits at any time, making its ability quite comprehensive.
"Then the task of detecting when Lis leaves the Floating City is yours."
Lune nodded, beginning to assign tasks to each of them.
